  1. Ha! Sweet! Sounds like me, everybody at work thinks I'm nuts when I tell them I spend my time off fixing and building stuff. I bet you've cleaned the shop at least twice on your vacation. 👍
  2. Looks like he's doing some nice work.
  3. Wow!! That turned out awesome! I'm jealous Fourtyfive.
  4. Haven't liked a lot of stuff that gets put out after a long hiatus, but is is Floyd so I'll probably still get it. :)
  5. My wife's uncle had to have his taken away after shooting the ceiling and bed. Could not remember if they were loaded he said. It's sad but a responsibility to keep others safe.
  6. Wow! Man that is nice work!! :)
  7. Ha! I read it the same way.
  8. This. Or a nice used one. Dan Wesson is one I would like to own too. For every day my buddy has a Rock Island officers that has been outstanding. I don't like tossing my Baer around.
  9. Sorry for you and the family's loss.
  10. Very nice. That's a good one for display, I'd be afraid to rough it up any.
  11. I am green with envy. :) We are looking at getting one of the 500 series for the house.
  12. Heck yea!! Unpredictable rocket danger, love it. When the smoke starts, Do Not look away! :)
  13. I've got one older than that. Looks about the same.
  14. Well I don't have a clue what that is, but way to go on what appears to be a long hard process. Congratulations.
  15. Sorry to hear about your grandma. That smith looks to be in great shape. I love old finds like that. Don't know enough to really tell about shootability though.
  16. My condolences for your loss and the loss of a good man.
  17. Finally got mine Friday. It's pretty nice. Built well fit is good. Only thing I wish it had was the nice locked in feeling you get with all kydex. But with one side leather you don't get that nice click sound.
  18. Good job, congrats.
  19. Because of stovepipe wonder if the timing is off a bit. Been reading a lot about 1911 timing recently. The smaller platforms are more vulnerable. Also I think Kingsarmory posted a vid of some simple reliability smithing on smaller 1911's recently.
  20. Ouch! Sorry to here. Keep it clean and get better soon.
  21. We keep the barking to a minimum with ours. Ours only bark when they hear or see something out of the ordinary but they are treated better than most. There are some good suggestions here. I would try to play with them some and give them a little attention and maybe they would at least not bark at you. People are funny though and even though they don't treat them well they can get mad if you try to. Long time ago a buddy had a huge mean malamute no one could go around. One night me and a friend fed him a couple beers and that dog was as happy as I ever saw him. Anytime me and my friend showed up he would come to the fence and sit just as nice and quiet as he could be.
  22. That's a nice piece. Let us know how the 9mm shoots.
  23. I would definitely check the sear spring. I've never had any broken parts but it can happen.
  24. I had a little .40 Taurus several years ago, though I did not like the feel of it, I never had a single problem in well over 500 rounds.
