  1. Thanks guys! Hopefully I can give a range report soon. If it will just stop raining for 5 minutes! buk
  2. I'd have to say my favorite smoke is a Tatuaje or Padron. As for shops, now that Three Ten is gone, I've been stoping at Belle Meade Cigars on the way to class. Pretty nice place and good prices. Kinda like Uptown's but without the pretentiousness. buk
  3. I'm sorry guys. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I've looked for it for so long. The wife and I were headed to Franklin last Friday to do a little shopping. We realized that Franklin Gun Shop would actually be open while we were in town so we stopped by. And there she was. I tried to resist, I don't like to feed those known for high prices and bad customer service. But... The dear wife got that squeal, you know the one only dogs and husbands can hear. She said "GET IT GET IT GET IT!!!!". So the double stacked .45 goodness followed me home. And as much as it pains me to say it, I actually got a really good deal on it, and the guys were pretty helpful. Damn. As if that wasn't enough to make you hate me, I scored 250 rounds of .45 at Wally World today! buk
  4. Oh man Fadex you're going to make me cry. A little piece of my youth died when they closed those doors the last time. Alisa's father sold me my first cigar and sat down with me and showed me how to smoke it. Hell we've probably smoked together there at some point. I loved the pile of magazines on the table, five sports magazines and 40 gun mags. You're right, anyone who came in there to start would have left on a stretcher! buk
  5. Technically you can't "horde" it, more like rent it. Briefly. buk

    SWINE FLU

Dibs on guns! Just remember, with enough alcohol in your system, you can kill any old virus. buk
  7. So from this thread we've learned that all of us MTSU'ers are stalking both Wal-Marts, that the gougers are getting all that ammo and overcharging us for it, and that Chef Wangs truly sucks. Do I have a good understanding so far? buk
  8. Somehow this makes me very happy. Maybe it'll be enough to make our government think before they try anything new. buk
  9. Hey man no problem, hope they start importing them and you can get one. Hey if you ever spot a Franchi PA3 gimmie a call! buk
  10. No guys, you're way off base here. That JHP Aguila for $50 has a nuclear tip and will completely evaporate a charging rhino! Small countries have been conquered with nothing but a Kel-Tec and one magazine of these devils! Katrina was caused by someone just throwing a box of Aguila across a room!!! Aguila ammo is made from Chuck Norris toenail clippings! buk
  11. No no of course not. It actually figures out to $0.999 per round. They actually advertise that price on their website! buk
  12. I'm going to second the trip to Hero Gear. If this is your first gun, then have someone take some time to show you how the gun functions, how to safely handle it, how to take it down and clean it. When we left yesterday they were staying open late to help a couple buy their first gun, and they were putting no pressure on them to leave. And if you have some trouble down the road, that internet company won't give a damn. And welcome to gun ownership! buk
  13. Go to gunbroker and search for .380 ammo. Everything on there is going for .80 to $1 a round. And I don't think I've ever seen anything go for a reasonable price on golsn. buk
  14. Try 20-25 grand. I had an opportunity to buy one in the early 90's for 6k and couldn't bring myself to pay that much for one gun. What an idiot. buk
  15. One of the guys on Arfcom tried this stuff and said it was a little shy of tasty. Although I'd probably buy a can just for a conversation piece. Now if Blade Tech will just make a holster for it! buk
  16. I check that damn Wal Mart every day!!! The one day I forget. buk
  17. The guy who first posted about this game on ar15.com now has over 2,500 pupils! He gains experience as they gain levels. Wish I'd thought of it. buk
  18. Viola is $6 per person per day. Oh, and welcome from Shelbyville! buk
  19. Bragger!!!! Well I guess if I can't have any, at least you guys have plenty. Just make sure every shot counts.. if you know what I mean. buk
  20. Well you've got one out of three, pretty good. Sad that everyone's experience seems to be the same. buk
  21. Scored 4 boxes! They also had the wwb .45 100 round packs. I must have just missed the .380. buk
  22. Of course it is, you don't think I would own an AR do you? I'm an AK man to the end! Ok maybe I'd own an AR, when they come down a few hundred. buk
  23. This from a guy with a gold tiger-stripe Desert Eagle! I'm looking for a Para-Ordnance P-14 in blue. They seem to be as rare as hen's teeth. I'm being told by a guy on gunbroker that they don't make it anymore, but it's still on their website and in their catalog, so I'm not so sure about that. The hunt will continue. It's just sad that no one cares enough to give customer service anymore. Store one won't last a year at the rate they're going, and I swore 10 years ago I'd never step foot in store 2 again after they tried to screw me after I'd bought a dozen guns from them over the years. And no, none were in Tullahoma. buk
  24. I have been looking for a specific handgun for a few weeks now and I've been to all the local shops. Hitting some of these shops has reminded me why I do business with Hero Gear and Guns and Leather. When I asked Joe about it he immediately checked with his distributors. When I pm'd Daniel he got back to me withing 48 hours. Unfortunately neither could locate one for me. So I decided to check the 3 gunshops in Rutherford County I'm closest to, to see if I could special order one. Store 1 was probably most interesting. I was talking to a clerk when someone came up and interupted us. The gentleman the clerk waited on before me wanted to let him know that he was leaving without the gun he was trying to buy, because no one would check him out. The clerk's response... "ok". No attempt whatsoever to stop the guy and resolve the issue, just "ok". Then when I asked another clerk about finding my gun, he said yeah he could probably look that up, or make some calls or something. I said that would be great and then he did... nothing. Just a blank stare. After a moment I asked could he help me with that or should I just check gunbroker. More blank stare. Wife and I just walked away. Store 2 told me it was probably on backorder, without actually checking. Wife told me to leave my name and number so they could call me when they came in. Clerk said that we could leave the info, but that they would probably forget to call me. I actually had to laugh on the way out the door. Store 3, well they didn't even acknowledge my existence on this Earth. Repeatedly walked right in front of me without a word, except for a "Thanks for stopping by!" when I left. I'm too fat to be invisible! So I guess I'll keep my business with Joe and Daniel. I guess someone still remembers what customer service means. buk
  25. Oh man! I've got a 2001 Altima that practically lives at the shop. If I had all the money back I've spent on that sucker I could buy a Ferrari! buk
