help with a starting point reloading 308

I had checked In my book and it did not reference that projectile with that powder so I hoped someone here would recognize that combo and be able to reply -
it is once fired LC brass and 148 gr bt pull down, I will be using BL-C2, to be on the safe side I was thinking to start at 40gr. Any help with this would be a great help. thanks Ron

I have mine in the garage as well and run a propane heater, I usually start it 30 minutes to an hour to warm it up. There is no other way to modify anything to have it more insulated and there isn't a room in the house I can do it, but was wondering what impact it might have on the reloads with the fluctuation in the temps of the brass during the reload process. Thanks

some of those work rooms look to be in the basement or in the corner of the garage, how do you keep the temp controlled in them. I have been working on my area that I have set up and is in the garage, and has been getting colder than an old witches teat, I do fire up a large propane heater and it will do the job so it is always fluctuating from very cold to comfortable. Thanks

I am looking forward to rebuilding one of mine in the near future, and have checked with midsouth as they are now carrying an assortment of barrels just as an fyi.
-
a stock that I was looking at for mine is the promag archangel it is not a bank breaker and a nice looking tactical stock with built in bipod as well as a built in mag well and comes with a 10 round magazine for around 280.00 if you look around I saw one on ebay for that check it out.

is the call sign from this area? mine KI6PXF I obtained that in Cali a few years ago.
-
I was in there today and surprised at the ammo that they had in stock there, they even has several boxes 50 bmg, just a heads up for those that would like to know.

with only 9 days left it is going to cost you 56.00 for the license as well, so you need to determine if your going out this season or next. And the next season you could save for and find a gun shop that will do layaways or wait for next fall and lay one away at Wal-mart and have more choices. what every you decide have fun once you get to hunt and welcome to the site.

just been busy with setting up a reloader, tumbling system and getting rid of a last bit of tools that I have had for sale, as well as the Christmas stuff. along with huddling near the fire during the colder days.

Thank you for the fast response. -
I currently have a lee press and am thinking about changing to a hornady, and would like to know if I can use the lee dies in the hornady press? I would only do this for a little while if it would work at all, thanks for any info you folks might have.

the only problem is that you wrote to him, you have to write his admin so that his people can meet with your people first before you sit down for coffee with him. Then you both sit down for coffee but you play your cards close to your vest and your ML under the table, then as he is in deep thought about his pending demise, you unleash the smoke, and let him know that you are his huckleberry. :) and that takes care of his lack of reading issue, problem solved. But he might have an un-known brother lurking in the shadows due to his fathers wandering ways, kind of like a Freddy Crugar kind of thing. So keep a lookout over you shrubs for any further evidence of retaliation.

I am certainly not the one to speak about 1 make versus the other, however, if all the other stores are like wal mart, when we were there today, everything was sold out including most consumables. So if you find a source for something, hopefully it is what your looking for, good luck with your search. -

Thanks for the info, we just got back from church and doing a little running around, and was thinking about getting out this afternoon to see if anything comes our way. We could hear a bunch of shooting about this time up until dusk yesterday, so we were hoping they all haven't been scared off into another county. And thanks for the heads up about the extra license for antlerless during rifle season. Now off to find us one before ML ends, but then we still get another chance during rifle, and hope to also take you up on the offer for the sausage making! -
