I dont know how to copy and post a photo from another site, but I saw an item today that Guntec makes that is a cheek pad that will snap on over a foam buffer tube cover, I saw that on the midsouth website today as I was looking at a few items. I am not sure yet if it can be ordered seperatly but am going to find out, and if it can and not to expensive I might order one to try it out, just some fyi for those who might be interested. Oh and by the way it is so that the buffer tube can be held against the check while firing you pistol. -

I understand the cost of buying one, me earlier point was that with a little welding know now a person can source the needed items and build it themselves for a lot less :)

if you park at the stadium there will be shuttles going over to the MCC, I will be volunteering on Friday and Saturday, if you volunteer they will cover your parking up to 10.00 per day. When I looked at the venue info it did look like a few vendors would be selling but at that time it was not alot of them. -
Its good that they were able to work things out the way they did no hurt feelings that way as for your guns, I think you showed up on my long lost cousin list and just havent reached out to you yet :)

STILL NEED SOME VOLUNTEERS AT NRA SHOW I JUST SIGNED UP
Ron Padilla replied to Ron Padilla's topic in General Chat
Ya if it gets me in to a part of the show that I might have had to pay for but get in for free then why not. Iwould think that there a lot of people that cannot afford all of the extras annd only go to the trade show due to costs, so the way to get in without paying is to volunteer why not cant hurt, just my own ridiculous opinion -
Well again I can understand the want to build a top quality item, but for something that might get left out in the elements a less costly board might be the way to go and the chances of a similar board already existing it might not take much to source the boards and build a lessor costing unit, especially for something that is going to get get shot to shite. Options could be made availalbe for those that want them at an indoor range vs the outdoor range where it again might get left out in the elements, but these are just mho, so do alot more research, someone once told me that if I was thinking about doing something, chances are someone else might have already done it or tested one.

well with a little welding know how a person could build the metal swinggers for a lot less, although the electroincs wont power a metal one, I think if you search a little harder you could find the boards and motor for less. I dont recall how much stepper motors are right now and not fully aware of all that you have in it but there are kits out there that guys are using to build plazma cutters with that might have some interchangeability or be adaptable. But I do understand that your also looking to recover you time, so being here in Tn that might be a little harder but people in other locals might have a greater want and cash avalability. Good luck

we really havent been to Nasville that often, and have only eaten in one Mexican restraunt, besides that one we have eaten in plenty of them here in Clarksville, and so far we have not found one that is all that great. Now my wife will even admit that my Mom was a great cook, she grew up in what is now a ghost town in New Mexico it was north west of Albuerque, now being that my wife admits my mom was a great cook, I have to say that she tought my wife well even when she thought she was keeping everything a secret. She (my wife) can make some great beens, chicken enchiladas, and of course Tamales that are seasonal, and I cut all of the pork for what is called carney adobado, it is fine strips and chuncks of pork but roast marinaded in a red chile sauce, the sauce is made from New Mexico chile pods that are boiled then ground into a liquid then has a lot of garlic added along with some chile de arbol all finely ground up in to a liquid then added to the pork and let set overnight then slow roasted till done. If I had my way I would and could eat that year round. But anyway didnt mean to but in carry on :)

anyone using these with 300blk? I picked up a half dozen or so of these and have not as of yet use one with a 300blk, I would like to try one just not sure how they would work in either the carbine or a pistol, any info would be greatful. Thanks
-
yep the progresives can use a powder cop in one station to help prevent that from occuring. I use one in station to help notify of a under or no charge or over charge.

Recommendations for a new tumbler
Ron Padilla replied to Sniper23's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I second the frankfort wet tumbler, I had graduated from the harbor frt unit to that one for size and it is greate -
is there enough room for all the hands that would go up?

I have had the barrel for a while now being that it has taken so long for me to build it a few pieces at a time. I will call and see what they say, it will not cycle properly, it does not strip the following round from the mag, the bolt does slam hard. There are other issues just cant recall them all, it has been frustrating to get this up and running

I did buy it new and the carbine has not run right yet

Thanks for the info yesterday, after I broke down my carbine it was some what self explanitary about some of the problems I am haveing with the 300blk, the gas port on that rainer barrel was drilled out to .125 from the maker so I have been over gassing for sure, so I will have it on hold till next month when I can get one of the inexpensive adjustable gas blocks to tame the thing down. That should then fix several on the issues that I have had I hope.
