  1. Thanks for all the reply's there is some great info here.
  2. if it came to it and all we could get was the brass and powder and had to make our own lead boolits would you put your life in their hands and would become an ohshite moment for you, just curious hope to hear back from a lot of different people.
  3. a senator was going to or did introduce a bill with that none sense, no telling where it will end up with the rinos in office time will tell I guess.
  4. No nippely cold weather indicator there great ear muffs though
  5. It is even ok to discharge in city limits as long as you are 100 feet away from the nearest road or residential property
  6. theres donuts and 2 jugs of milk enough to go around, and milk does a body good.
  7. I attended 2 hunting safety courses over the last 2 years and if I recall correctly as long as you report it to the proper authorities you can keep the road kill, putting it down in the city or out of city limits makes no difference, notify the proper authorities and you can keep the meat, but your info may differ, putting it down like others have said is the proper thing to do.
  8. no matter where your from that's funny!
  9. I might be wrong but the pistol drum is what is tnstalled along with the metering stem that goes with it so only one size that I know of
  10. I just scanned the other posts but I have read have not used a 300blk on a hog hunt and would love to go, but over on the 300blk site there are people that rave about using that caliber out to about 100 yards with a lot of luck.
  11. reporting back with reloads and 1st time out with RIA midsize 45. I first ran a few federal rounds that were 230grn fmj through the gun then on to some hand loads using some FMJ round nose with some of the powder from David the CSB 1 with out any problems what so ever. there were not any FTF, FTLB, it ran smooth as can be. The only thing I did notice with that powder being a flake powder is that I had the metering knob turned all the way in on the hornady LNL press and it will still dispense the powder, yet it would dispense st the amount that I needed for the 230grn rounds that I loaded. So I guess that means I will have to load either round nose or the 230grn hollow point, but that is fine, the gun is going to be edc anyway and want as much behind it that I can get.
  12. I wasn't going to go either but they said he would have some good info to share and they had plenty of seats
  13. for the reloading classes that they will be having? The one tomorrow is at 10:00 am and the following day at 4:00 pm, I will be at the 1 tomorrow at 10:00am from what I understand it will be basic but might still offer some things that a newbie or mid level hand loader can use. As of this morning they still had some spaces left.
  14. Thanks Gregintenn the suggestion worked well I went out and loaded about 30 up with setting the die set up you mentioned, and using David's powder. I didn't want to do to many without testing and if the indoor is open being mothersday and all then I will find out, the only bummer is that I don't have a chrono so I cant test the speed. I checked them with the barrel of the primary gun and they set just right. The powder flowed well the bell was not over done and from the looks of it the crimp was just right.
  15. yup one was trying to park the Cadillac in the garage and the event went to heck, nothing like a snake to make a bunch of growed men screech like a little girl, I can attest to the last time a tarantula crossed my path on our back door in so cal, I must have jumped three feet in the air and yelled like a little kid, terrible thing just terrible.
  16. try a flaming pig, I don't have one but the utube videos that I have seen shows that they seem to work well KAK makes one and from what I recall not very expensive and I think you can find them on ebay as well as amazon. Good luck!!
  17. David has been having a huge sale this weekend at his house, if your in need and close to him I would give him a call. He has a bunch of stuff out for sale including fishing gear a motorcycle and including you guessed it ...... some reloading items that were just to good to pass up so give a call, I picked up some of the CSB 1, as well as some brass for my 45acp and 500 brass cases of 556 to turn into 300blk. So I gonna have some stuff that will be keeping me busy for a while, but give him a call and go check it out.
  18. Ok cool that helps but to play the dumb part were not talking about bottoming out the die on the shell holder 1st
  19. Gregg, the only thing I did not think out well is the die set I bought, I purchased a 3 die set so it has the 2 in one seating and crimping, any difference in the steps you outlined above sorry for sound dumb, just real tired and not sure. Thanks
  20. Thanks Gregintenn that was some useful info I will have to do that tonight about to tire to do much else. But castrating a gnat is that anything like checking a moth for mothballs? I was and still going to watch a few utube on it bet again Gregg that was good info I would not have thought about it myself I have never done pistol yet other than 300blk yukyukyuk.
  21. Well ok then it's good to know that it's a tiger in pussycat skin sort of reminds me of an old Tom Jones song
