  1. a photo of a metric crap ton will help with the comprehension.
  2. anything that is made by hand or takes the skill of using your hands always takes time and patience, I remember the times when I would be rushed in to a repair of an engine or refer unit and I would end up busting a knuckle worse that it had to be. I hope to have gone through enough reading and viewing to avoid to many mistakes, but know that I will make some. But I do have some ideas in mind that might make for a better product as far as holsters, with belts you cant fix what's done the wheel has been made and ya cant improve to much.
  3. I had thought about that but was not sure if it would create enough vacuum to form leather. It might for kydex, however I was thinking about a a/c vacuum pump, it might be enough vacuum for leather.
  4. I am going to start making gun belts soon, a sewing machine will be shipped out to me in a few weeks, but also want to look in to making holsters. I have been searching for patterns but have not come up with much. I plan on trying my hand at something like milt sparks makes. I have studied his holster for a while, and would like to be able to form with some sort of vacuum system.
  5. Thats nice, what did you use for the boning on the leather, and did you use basic leather techniques to work and form the leather, amd one last question is that 8_9 once leather? Thanks
  6. Thanks to both, was hoping someone here might be using a vacuum system, I remember DOLO indicated he did one with a vacuum system.
  7. thanks for posting, what did you use to form your kydex?
  8. who has pictures or can you take some and post?  or has there been very many here that have attempted to make a holster?  I think I might try in the near future and have high hopes of a good job.  so lets see and hear what ya'll got.
  9. been working on my reloading bench some, got in the bully adapter that adapts the lee bullet feeder to the hornady bullet feeding die
  10. I kinda do what Raoul does, I just have to be cautious of any shards, I have noticed that they draw the dogs attention, not so sure that is a good thing though, and of course it runs everyone off cept one of my grandsons who sits there and laughs with me.
  11. David will you be there or your crew?  Not that it matters I would like to pick up some more 45acp stuff.   Thanks
  12. there is a big scrap yard here in Clarksville that will sell lead, ar brass, a well as other brass.  It's name is Queen City Metals, if your in the area you will have to look up the contact info for them I don't have it, but they are located off of exit 1 on hiway 24.
  13. You have to figure that there will be certain number that is needing to be culled from the stack just hope it doesn't go over 10 percent if the number grows complain, however most sellers of brass include extra for that very reason. I am on my phone but if you look up David Mosely here, he is a vendor of reloading supplies great person, and great products he will hook you up with all the consumables at great prices, you cant go wrong by buying from him.
  14. No he wast the suite was filed but determined to be a fraudulent claim, he indicated that it took place well over 2 decade's ago
  15. YOU, you wouldn't want to be behind me after a bowl of pinto beans, if I could can it and sell it like other have tried I would be rich and could care less if I got sued. :)
  16. In the event that it cannot be chambered toss it in your recycle bin, if you can chamber it then as mentioned above then fire it, but before you toss it if that is what needs to be done just drop a drip of oil in it and let it set.  You could save it for later when you get ready to go with a 300blk then cut it down resize it and your ready to go, but still place a drop of oil in it before running it through a depriming die, so it doesn't go boom in your face.
  17. The jig and mentioned above works well I have been using one now for over a year, I have only used a box of store bought all the rest have been hand loads, however that was a learning curve that took me a while, now your results might come quicker than mine, the difficult part was getting the shoulder set back far enough on the case with the die, after a few comment here and talking with others I finally got it right and haven't looked back.  Good luck with what you do in the reloading room, I enjoy making things so it is therapeutic for me.
  18. I truly appreciate all of the responses to the question that I posted, the gist behind my question was and still is Who would trust their own life with the reloads that they create.  To the point several answered in the affirmative.  I know that it is a question that has bee asked before but, most probably with a little different twist.  The questions asked in the past most likely had to with the legality of it, which is not what I was asking.  I did call David, as Dolo mentioned David was in a legal quagmire many years ago over a shooting incident, however it was a frivolous law suit.  David did say he still carries store bought ammo, but did say that it is not illegal to carry and use hand loads and for that info I am grateful.  But again it is not the issue or question at hand, I have not been reloading that long but very anal at what I pursue and will read and test to make sure what I am doing is correct and will not bring harm to myself or my family.  I or anyone can be sued for farting in public it is the nature of the world we live in today, it is a very sue happy society, but to that, them, what ever that cant get blood from a rock, they can try but I aint got nothing they would want.......   Thanks again I still hope to hear more.
