  1. I have been doing a fare amount of reading on kydex and even the people at crossbread feel the best to work with is 060 you will get the best definition out of the kydex, the thicker stuff gets to hard to work.
  2. leatherworker.net has tons of info and I found JLSleather.net has some info and patterns that he is willing to share he sent one to me and he has a pdf file on working leather..  Thanks for all the info here, Adams leather works has patterns however he does charge for his.
  3. No problem I am out currently out when I get home I will post the info, I bought one pattern and on another site a leather person posts and shares his info
  4. I have had some success finding some patterns on the web, but, one of things that I have found a little confusing is with the front part of the pattern.  Shouldn't the front part of a pattern be a little larger to compensate for the gun when working with leather?  With kydex it molds around the gun due to the nature of the product, but with leather that is a little different story.  Thanks in advance.   Ron
  5. ya if that was a snake fang you could also see the exit hole where the venom exits and like others have said one big azzz snake and I have seen some really big possum in the area along with ground hogs. There was one of off Madison watching traffic go by with some large teeth like that.
  6. nice work thank you for showing it
  7. I have the one with a full length rail and nobody makes a holster for it, did you hand stitch the holster
  8. Is the commander the one with a full length rail
  9. I am sure my screen is not color corrected but I cant see any blotches, looks good to me what sis you use to stitch the holster with? Thanks
  10. That is what I have been reading, however I understand that the backing soda bath can damage as well? Did you mix your own? how long did it take to mix up? I have had it outside n the heat and has been cooking up well just not sure how long the entire process takes. Thanks
  11. That is what I understand, the color is suppose to be very deep and no shine, for this batch I used a bunch of brillow pads. I rinsed them 1st the stuck them in the bottle, it has been outgassing since, but I am not sure what it is suppose to look like once it is done, I have to go back and reread the article on it. Also once done the metal has to be strained out obviously so that it is usable, so it close but no cigar.
  12. Ya well this would add alot iron to your diet your suppose to drop in a buch of steel wool rusty nails etc till the nrrw is done
  13. ya but once rhe vinegar is done foing its work making the dye if done correctly wont have any more oder that is the sign that is has been done correctly, in fact I am in the process of making some now
  14. I a cooking up a batch of it now for use on my first project, I am going to try my hand at some gun belts and holsters and thought I would go the vineagroon route 1st to keep my costs down. I understand it does a great job of dying leather but cant really tell from on line photos. Thanks
  15. yes this is good dumb can it be copied and pasted with your permission?
  16. That's a terrible thing, I hope I dont get it and I've done hundreds of 300blk, sure hope it aint contagious or there might be alot of 300blk users running around with vagina, I wounder if a penicillin shot helps.
  17. Even the dealerships will pull shenanigans over on people and the shops make out big time on it, I have been working part time lately for a parts store here in town and have been able to speak with some of the owners about certain repairs needing to be done on my own vehicle, even have been a mechanic for over 20 years, but it was as a diesel truck and not car and pickups. My new to us as well Toyota was needing an injector service and was not certain if the had to be done with a machine, so I spoke with the owner of one of the independent shops and he informed me that the dealerships will charge an hour of time $95.00 in most cases when all they really do is pour in a bottle of injector cleaner that might cost 10.00 at the most. So the bottom line is ya never really know what your going to get unless you d it yourself! Or watch it as it is being done.
  18. I am worried about Caster if he is having Vagina that bad he might want to see a Dr but not the same one Jenner used :)
