not sure if I follow your headline, but if you mean a rock island armory I think Academy carries them and from time to time Guns n Archery in Clarksville has some.
  3. I said it 1st many moths ago and was chastised for saying but it is true it has just taken this long for them to clean out of their supplies, the Sango store had some that were on layaway as this store has now also gone to a 6 month layaway year round. But once all the lost layaways are gone for any type of tactical weapon there no longer available, se la vie.
  4. what ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Raul said, and well said indeed. thanks
  5. he's up at the top next to the Duke, I am sure the Duke would have some words for the puke in the house.
  6. Most leather people are using a mix of neats oil, bee's wax, and carnauba wax they will rub on like car wax some will heat with a hair dryer or heat gun then buff with a micro fiber towel, some are also spraing a light coat acrylic clear. I have my oil a nd waxes set up and half way built a vacuum system to vacuum form both leather and kydex. I really didnt want to spend the money on blue or aluminum guns, and the utube video made it seem very simple to set up a system to make them.
  7. Is there like a few or 1 in particular that I could google. I googled on my phone havent sat at a computer yet to do it. Thanks
  8. I am not certain how many airsoft replicas can be found that would fit the bill like most of the popular glocks, of course if someone brought me one then I could draw it out. The other option is to ask the owner or manager of one of the lgs's if I could go in and draw a few of what they have in stock.
  9. Oh ok ihadmt heard of th but I will thanks
  10. I watched a utube video today on how to make some aluminum guns now my reason for wanting to do this is that I am venturing into a holster making venture as a part time retired thing. the video was very interesting the person who did it drew a gun out on paper then tapes and shaped the drawing out on foam core board to use as a mold to pour molten aluminum in to. The foam would disintegrate at high temp and let the aluminum take the shape of the gun. The issue that I find is that a holster maker needs an exact or little smaller replica to make the holster from. Now some of you might ask why don't I go out and buy a blue gun or some of the others that are available, well if you reread the top you will see that I am retired and have somewhat of a limited budget. So I would like to find and here is the question a place website where I can print exact size images of different guns, so if anyone knows of such a site the info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ron
  11. It happens and you sit there and kind of wonder where all the time went, but through it all there were many accomplishments and goals that were met and exceeded.
  12. I made my own as well others here have done, and there are a few members here that can make something for you if you want to reach out to them. You can find the post in the general conversation thread and the title is who has made their own homemade holster, or that might give you some more ideas any.
  13. Updated again to a larger size leather, the other felt to small so went larger to spread the weight out as well as added a neoprene liner with the buck skin backing and hand stitch
  14. Who declared it an aircraft, and what classifies it as an aircraft, he wasnt but a few feet above ground certainly not in controlled air space.
  15. its cool and should not be illegal, he didn't exceed air space that is covered by faa, and if the gun is his then what law did he break?
  16. I have been rolling my own as well with David's csb1 with extreme or hornady 230gr hollow point or round point and very happy with how the rock river arms handles it especially after polishing the ramp and barrel I could be happier. :):)
  17. The reference to the blue dress was what monica worr to the big house when she go visit bubba
  18. Oh Shoot did you knowingly have sex with that snake, be careful in how you answer this question sir as you under or near the water board, and that snake is a distant relative to another snake in a blue dress,, or coat and tie not sure which!! :)
  19. sucks just went and looked and they don't make them for a 1911 that I can tell, I never found much problem with the from site when holstering or un-holstering, but YMMV, they are good in the night, when I bought them the XDS had just hit the market and the guy was having trouble keeping up with demand, but has probably changed since them.
  20. those are great sights I had them on my XDS 45 that I had, at the time they were made for the glocks and the XD models, they are sent out for a tritium treatment, so will last as long as the tritium is good. Good stuff they are I haven't look in to see if they make them for 1911 type guns.
  21. yes it can pull that amount in, when the system kicks in it pull in air, so in doing so it pulls in what ever is around it, cut grass leaves, and so on. even if you cut the grass around it you need to blow it away from the A/C unit.
