  1. I am going to run them through the stainless wet tumbler when done depriming them, that should have them all looking good afterwards, I did 500 45acp the same way look brand new
  2. How often have some of you found that you have had to trim 9mm shells either brass or plated brass?
  3. Well ok them appreciate all the info and look forward to getting started, ill be back in a few with more questions gotta eat lunch
  4. What is the issue with the nickel cases, are they not reloadable?
  5. others talk about how great ultrasonic cleaning is, but I don't think it comes any where near what stainless wet tumbling does it is just great. You can start of small by getting the harbor Freight tumbler and they have 2 sizes, then when your ready you can jump up to a bigger system. That is what I did, then when I was ready and the price was right I bought the Frank Ford Arsenal wet tumbler at Mid south and haven't looked back. Again start small if need be then get or build a bigger system you wont regret it. There are steps that you need to follow to make sure that they come out just right, but like anything trial and error.
  6. what I should have asked in the above comments is , when it comes to 9mm brass, is brass, brass, brass or is there a significant difference between makers that I should look for indicators, and not use some? Thanks
  7. I am with ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ on that one and them wanting to drop another 180,000 refugees in on us, and some if not a lot of those want to jihad the hand that will feed them, well I would rather be prepared than not.
  8. I wasn't sure that some would have the crimp, I make my own 300blk out of 556 and have to do the same thing. I have been using the deburring tool that is motor driven to get it done, I may not use these there were only a few out of the bag of 500. However that does bring up another question, I have been doing some 45acp now for a while, and is doing the 9mm basically the same as doing the 45? Thanks for info. Ron
  9. some 9mm and was removing the primer from some cases that I bought here from an indoor range, when I came across some Winchester that seemed more difficult to remove, I took notice that those cases have like a crimp ring in them?  If that is the case does that crimp ring need to be removed before installing a new primer or will a primer fit with no problem.  But I had plans of using small rifle primer during the reload process so with the ring present do I need to change my plans on what primer needs to be used?  Thanks in advance for any info provided to solve the issue.   Ron
  10. I can go to either, but if were going to plan out a time wise the closer to the 1st of the month works better for me financially.  But look forward to what ever is set up, If an indoor venue is selected then Guns N Archery also has an indoor range and like them far better than the one on Ft Campbell.
  11. decided to go with straps on this build, going to do leather with one way snaps for the time being, need to get the one way buttons with a longer stem then can use the rubber coated nylon that I have. had to dye the leather tonight and letting dry then install eeehaw.
  12. I bought my wife the XD mod 2 in 9mm and fell on love with it, 2 of the ranges in town have rentals, I don't care for the one on Ft Campbell Bvd but that is one choice the other is Guns n Archery.  Go rent one then decide that would be the best bet so she will know what it feels like.
  13. Yes there is one there and one over in Paris just over the hill by Edwards air base. They had built a moto cross park right next to the airport there in Lake Elsinore as well, and have speed boat race's out on the lake.
  14. It is a beautiful State and of course I am a little biased having lived there for most of my life, as well as having driven through most of it.  We would pull into a rest area south of Mt Shasta and could look back at a majestic mountain top.  And if it weren't for the politics I would probably still be there.  But there are other areas of the country that are just as gorgeous with a far greater understanding of our right to own and bear arms.  St Gorge, UT is another area that has so much in terms of beauty to offer, but my heart will always be in Cali but my body and soul for now are here, glad you got to see a magnificent area of our country.
  15. really like the XDS work, the blended colors look really nice as well.
  16. I dont have my sewing machine yet it is still sitting in California, so for the time being so that I can carry it I made the dex for it. The one that came with it really suxs
  17. yes this was vacuum formed, I had hoped the leather lined would work but I think the leather was to thick, but will try it in a taco press when I get it built and see how it goes..  Thanks for kind words!!!
  18. Bought a new pistol so had to make a new kydex holster, this will prbably be the first of a few will also do a hybrid. Let me know what y'all think
  19. Its not done yet still deciding between a fomi clip or straps for IWB
  20. Well I had to change plans the following is what I came up with.
  21. Working on the leather backed kydex holster
  22. I have not had any problems while doing purchases here in TN, just did a 3 gun transfer with out any problems, but when I applied for my carry permit it was denied pending an appeal due to an issue in California that hadn't reflected any disposition, I contacted the court in Cali and obtained the paperwork showing that the arrest resulted in a fine the had been paid, and that solved the problem for the carry permit.  So each case must cause different flags to go up, probably kind of like a Monday, Friday thing.
