Coming from that area (metro area) he's the best police chief that city has had in a long time. He's got his issues (mostly bad cops) but he's genuinely trying. -

Too many other sources for 7.62 and 5.45 surplus and new manufacture from other countries in the region to be much of an issue if Russian imports get blocked. -
