I am surprised the plastic stocks did not melt. That being said, I wonder if they could be cleaned and used. My logic is if it didn't get hot enough to melt the plastic, I wouldn't think it would have damaged the metal.

A friend of mine has the same issue with a Gen 4 Glock 19. He contacted Glock in Smyrna, GA and they advised the new recoil spring assemblies will be available by mid December. They took is name and address to send him one. They acknowledged the problem is with 115 grain target ammo and advised to increase the bullet weight to resolve the problem until the recoil spring assembly is available.

Another 10mm fan here! Got the regular Glock 20 and I carry as a sidearm while hunting. The old Winchester Silvertip Ammo is still around, and what I usually carry.

Finally killed a doe this afternoon around 3:30. Don't know if it's just the weather, but they don't seem to be moving much...

Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 10.5 inch barrel with a Bushnell 2x scope. I keep my shots to bow range, because of me not the gun.

Absolutely love the SP101! I have the new 327 Federal and it's a blast to shoot!

My wife has a 642, I have an LCR (Thanks Goodlettsville Gun Shop!). Out of the box trigger is better on the LCR. The differences in size and weight are not enough to be noticeable. The factory grip on the LCR seems to dampen the recoil pulse better. All of our shooting has been done with standard 38 special ammo, no +p. Considering the pain induced in firing 50 rounds or so from each revolver, I don't think I need to worry about wearing either of them out. Handle both and choose the one that fits you best... Good Luck!

I have one from the first year of manufacture. It is setup for turkey hunting. Have not had any problems. Round count is low. The 935 was built for only 3 and 3.5 inch shells, some say it will cycle 2.75's without trouble. I have never used anything but 3s. The 930 is for 2.75s.

Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal in an OWB DeSanti's pancake holster. Tough finding a SP101 holster for the 3 inch barrel without going custom.. -
The Marlin is the gun to get. If price is an issue, take a look at the levers made by Henry, not bad for the price.

Academy Sports at Cool Springs has a Glock 20SF, or did this week. I own a non-sf model I use as a sidearm while deer hunting. I love the gun! I haven't gotten too creative with the ammo, I still carry Winchester Silvertips.

I too love mine. Mine had to go back to Ruger shortly after I got it. One of the pins in the cam block would not stay in place. Ruger replaced the cam block and I have had no other problems.

I have the same gun. It being a semi-auto, it will require a barrel that has the gas holes for the action, thus, a pump barrel will not work. I believe the 1500 was the same action. Also, mine is 2 3/4 inch shells only. Give E-gunpart.com a try.

I own a SR9. Within firing the first 2 magazines, the upper cam block pin began drifting to the left of the weapon pressing on the takedown pin assembly, basically trying to disassemble the gun while I was firing. The gun was returned to Ruger and received Jan. 3rd of this year. I received the gun from repairs last week, March 4th. The camblock assembly had been replaced. So far approx 100 rounds have been fired with no further problems. Great gun, just got off to a bad start.

I have one of these I carry as a sidearm while hunting. It is a great firearm. At 47 ounces, you definitely know you are carrying it. Buy a good holster.

I have a M&P 45. No hiccups to date with around 500 rounds thru it.

I have a HSS harness. It comes with a strap to wrap around the tree. With mine, the tether that is attached to the harness has a loop sewn at the very end that the strap that attaches to the tree goes thru. They also make a strap that has a locking steel D-Link sewn in for connection. I purchased a linesman's belt accessory kit for mine and it came with it. Love the harness.

I carry a sidearm while hunting. A few years ago I was hunting from a shooting house and killed a nice small 8 pointer. It dropped in it's tracks, so I unloaded my rifle and left it in the shooting house while I field dressed the deer. After field dressing the deer, I was dragging it back towards the shooting house, and a coyote ran withing 5 yards of me. It stopped, looking at me and the deer, then ran off. It didn't growl or act aggressive, but did make me think I was between him and a meal. I also purchased a muzzle loading pistol which I carry muzzleloading season.

Nice pistol. FYI, Smith has a rebate on them. You may want to check their site...

My first deer rifle was a Winchester Model 94. It was purchased from Woolco at the 100 Oaks Mall in Nashville in the late 70s. Cost, $88 dollars. I killed my first deer with it, so did my son. Been in love with levers ever since.

My wife has one of these also. The only issues we have had were with an aftermarket mag and the safety initially being difficult to release. It has been 100% with factory mags. The safety has loosened up with use. Congrats and enjoy!
