1911 vs well.....anything else?...................Didn't know there was anything else. As with trucks, boats, women ect. Everyone has their own preference. I fell the .45 is tops in the carry pistol category. I'm sure some people concur and some will not. A lot of people would not own anything Glock. If you feel comfortable with the 1911 platform then thats the one you should go with.

My dad was there but he has passed on now. He told me alittle about it. The Cantrell's and Kennedy's were affluent people in the county, with the Cantrell's being from Etowah and the Kennedy's being from Athens. Back in those days the county deputy's got paid by fines from the arrestees. There was even a gun fight in Etowah between a county deputy and a Etowah city policeman. Over the county deputy wanting a prisoner that Etowah had arrested. I can't remember which one it was, I think it was the city policeman. Bleed to death in the street.
