  1.   Not likely before and definitely not now. I just figured it would be better to make sure I got them while I could and not leave it to chance.
  2. I ordered a front and a back plate from ar500.com on Sept. 22, 2014. When I ordered them I knew that there would be a long wait due to the proposed ban on civilian armor. It was advertised that there would be up to a 3 week delay. It is going on 7 weeks now and they have yet to even make them. I called after 4weeks had passed and they told me if I had not received them after Halloween to give them a call. I called Friday to inquire and they said it might be two more weeks until they could make them.   I understand if they were a little behind but, it will be at least three times the estimated wait time until I get them. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case you were thinking about ordering from them. I have no doubt it will be a quality product when I receive it but they have really fallen short in the customer service dept.
  3. Ear tags and brands don't mean anything. If cows are sold at a sale, unless the new owner retags or rebrands then the cow will have a pointless brand or tag. My family has about 65 head and we document them with the ear tags they come with, but we don't retag cows we buy.
  4. Another one that an old timer at work brought up was the persimmon seeds, and according to them it will be a bad winter.
  5. The best allergy medicine that I ever took was called xyzol. I am pretty sure that is how it is spelled. It was only like a 5mg pill but it was amazing the difference it made.   I had all kind of allergies as a kid and had to end up getting allergy shots. They made an even bigger difference than any medication. Just another option to look into.   Hope this info helps your suffering
  6. Tacticool .22s are probably on the top of my list.
  7. Apparently wives don't find this as funny as we do, I just got the look.........
  8.   Make sure to let us know how this plays out. I am curious to see if this comes back to bite him in the whopper.
  9. Doesn't TN have a law that prevents you from being charged with other firearms related offenses? I am assuming that Texas doesn't have a law like this, otherwise this would not be an issue.
  10. Wow! After reading the above it changes my opinion on the situation. I hope that this is not true for the daughter's sake. If it is true then there is a special place in hell for any POS that can do this to another human being especially children!   I find it odd that after Kris removed the post he said that he removed it because people had misread or misunderstood it...It seems like the intent and information of the post was evident.
  11. It is at least 45 minutes in regular traffic. Wonderful area though!
  12. I am not sure I haven't bought the plates yet, but I am planning on getting them from AR500 in the next couple of weeks.
  13. I just bought a brand new OD green Condor MOPC on ebay. I got it for $43 shipped.
  14. Just throwing out another option, a lot of car dealers have rental cars. When I was looking at renting a car last year, two dealerships within 10 miles of me offered rentals. I specifically remember that one of them offered vans to rent.
  15. You should contact the regional service manager. This is bad management and horrible customer service.
  16.     Never buy a D or LA series JD mower, or the other brands equivalent, they are not made to last.
  17. I am currently a service tech for TN Tractor, the JD dealer on the other end of the state.  In my opinion they should have bent over backwards to fix this issue for you. It is a busy time for the shop but that is not an excuse for this situation. You should be made a priority.   You took the mower in to be serviced and they looked over it for anything else that could be wrong with it. You then had them fix what they found to be wrong with it. Therefore, more than likely this will be a rework ticket. Even if this is an issue not related to the work that was done it was the mechanics responsibility to look for anything that could cause a problem.
  18. Sorry I misunderstood your first post. It sounds like a cottonmouth (water moccasin). They are very thick bodied snakes. They are the color that you described. They have a pattern that is visible in they young snakes, but as they get older they get darker. As they get older/darker you can only see parts of their pattern and they will eventually turn almost black with hardly any pattern.   My second guess would be a Diamondback water snake. They are the most common nonvenomous water snake. They are also a thick bodied snake with similar markings.
  19. I got my renewal notice about three months prior to it expires in August. It only took about 2 weeks until it came in the mail.
  20. If the stripes were parallel to the body then it could have been a ribbon or garter snake. However they are not thick bodied snakes.
  21. Canned sardines in a live trap works really well, I have trapped close to 100 with this method. I would recommend placing the trap on an elevated surface in order to keep from catching a skunk. You could still catch a opossum though, but they can be a nuisance in certain situations as well.   Knock on wood, I haven't caught a skunk thus far.
  22. M&P because of the ergonomics and they just fit. Glock and 1911 are tied for 2nd. For me the M&P AND Glock are in my EDC category and 1911 is in more of a craftsmanship and target category. Revolvers also fall in the craftsmanship and target categories for me as well.
  23. There is also speckeled king snake that looks like a mix of the two pictured above. The speckled king as its name states has specks of white or yellow instead of the stripes like the one above. Both breeds of king snakes have interbred and that makes it even harder to tell the difference between the two.
  24. I really like Savage rifles. The wood thumb hole stock is one of my favorites and the accutrigger is one of the best out of the box triggers out there imho. I have not shot a CZ so I cannot offer any comparison, but I don't think you would be disappointed either way.
  25. I know several departments including the state that considers badges department property. I don't think you would have any trouble placing the patch where you mentioned. I cannot give an informed legal opinion on this but I am sure this has been done many times before in one form or another.   I personally think that is an awesome way to honor the memory of your friend!!!
