It's 1am and Santa has already come and gone. He had a much faster trip this year as my son didn't request Legos. Poor ole Santa was up till 4am assembling the piles of Ninjago, only to see them destroyed within the hour. I think there are still tear stains on the rug from that one. Now that my daughter is 2 1/2, we're in full on Christmas spirit mode. It's wonderful watching them light up at the thought of the season and i'm grateful that at their core, they understand that Jesus is at the root of Christmas and not just boxes and material things. My son is 7 this year and I fear he may discover the secrets of the north pole this coming year. He's started asking the Bass Pro Santa (yup, we take them there yearly) to answer questions like "where do I live? what is my name?" etc. but for now, I'll just relive the magic of my childhood through him and hope that it's as wonderful for him as it was for me. Perhaps one day I'll be able to see grandchildren share the same joy. I hope the holidays are wonderful for all of you and especially for the little ones I know you all hold so dear!!! P.S. Miss you dad

Pegged me as Nashville because i said "coke". Chattanooga and Columbus (GA) as alternates. This also proves why I didn't get along with my former boss. My least similar was Minneapolis.. which is where she was from!
-
That can depend on a lot of things. namely if you're under an older plan perhaps. Also bear in mind I tested to DC as the OP did, you're hitting Nashville.
-
Did they provide you with a static IP as part of that? My consumer grade is $50 a month ***Edit*** Technically I have a 25mb plan but 20 is about the best i can pull.

Especially if it's Hughes..... ugh....

Comcast is a racket. Those people are criminals and imho should be facing jail time for all of the tax fraud, throttling of bandwidth to P2P services, superfluous charges and unnotified changes to your bill they've done of the years. I hate that company with every fiber of my being. As you can tell, I'm a customer. If I could get TDS in my neighborhood, I would instantly.

There's an official response on their site now. http://duckcommander.com/news/robertson-family-offical-statement

The poor SA-80 I'd give my left nut for one of the operators so I could operate though. Or a koch heckler :)

OP here. 9:52pm: Post story about Phil from Duck Dynasty 3:22pm the following day: "1,500 responses?! Let me read a bit of........ My God, what have I done?"

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=844242 Phil decided to share his opinion on sin with GQ magazine and has since been removed from the show by A&E. I've no opinion about his opinion, there's enough "preference" talk in the top shot thread, but I will miss Phil as I watch this show with my family because I think it's wholesome, almost Andy Griffith show by nature.

Awesome photo. My son is 7 and i've had him out shooting once. I can't wait until he's old enough to join me on projects like that. I've been lazy and haven't completely finished it but i bought a decent shape Type-53, sanded it down, restained it, stripped off all the blue and refinished it. It was a lot of work but it looks great. Whenever i can finally get the clear coat on the stock i'll post it up. Back to my original point, It'd be awesome to do some restoration with my son. -

I took mine out for my first test fire last summer. Sent two rounds downrange and looked over at my friend to smile. Over his shoulder I realized there were 5-6 guys looking at me with that "wth was that?" look. Gotta love that chest pounding "thump" when everyone else is shooting .223. -
Gay or Straight, I wouldn't want to be anywhere down range of him.

Is spelling and punctuation a thing of the past?
NoBanStan replied to Westwindmike's topic in General Chat
I think text messages should be shorthand. I don't need to read a novel, just get the point across. "Omw eta 30m" -Simple and effective. However, I don't like reading forum posts this way: "Hay ru gon 2 sell gun???!! Wut pay???!!!" - If you do this, stick your mouth over a tailpipe and breathe deep. -
Buy a rocking swivel recliner. Mount a shotgun with a remote trigger underneath. Then you can just turn the chair and adjust for elevation by rocking. It'll be like a lazy boy AA gun!

This season is the worst for these type of feelings. I always get blue thinking about my childhood and i miss my father and grandparents. But sometimes some good randomness cheers me up. You won't be disappointed. I switched from a set of caldwells and man... what a difference. The caldwells did their job but basically anytime there was a *bang*, you could hear the microphones shut off and you can't hear anything. Those Peltors you ordered level out the noise, so a gunshot sounds as loud as a person talking.

Well, if you're gonna crash.. crash and burn!

I don't know about you, but i'm not taking off any helicopter with something tied around the rotors :D

Perhaps it was just reseating the cables... though if that were the case, it should have worked in the other PC. I certainly wouldn't rebuild using that drive. Glad you got the files.
-
Ok so the drive wasn't dead, the OS was corrupt. This is why you want to be as detailed as possible when you request computer assistance. Always give specific error messages or post pictures. There's a lot of good ideas in this thread but we were all over the place guessing what might be your issue.

I saved a file server doing the freezer trick once. Old IDE drive, even older server... no redundancy. That's the beauty part about dying hardware, once it dies you can just virtualize it!. sorry, nerded out a bit.

Perfectly viable, though i'd venture to guess it's cable select unless it's a really really old machine.
