Well, we already know facebook has been doing social experiments on its users. Why would additional mandatory privacy intrusion be a shock? There's a simple fix though..... stop using facebook.   I cancelled my account years ago and oddly enough, the world didn't stop revolving.   Remember back in the early days of the internet when we lived by the rule "don't identify yourself"?

  Perception is everything. He says the video is jumpy and so is the mouse. I'm presuming this is mouse lag because troubleshooting a mouse first is easy to do for normal users.   From there we're getting into performance/drivers, etc.    I troubleshoot easy to hard. No sense in tearing apart the engine when you never bothered to check the fuel gauge.

  Is it one of those rigid mouse pads or cloth? Sometimes with those plastic surface mouse pads the texture on it can cause the mouse to freak out because the laser/IR is sitting on a peak. You'd know because the mouse cursor will flash or jiggle back and forth.   Going back to your original post, you mention the site you're visiting will have jerky movements. Can you expand on that?   Honestly at this point, it could be any number of things. Some type of interference, mouse is going dead, computer is low on resources... you name it.   ***edit*** an easy test is to try something else besides the mouse pad and possibly plug in a different mouse.

Barring a performance issue with the pc.....what type of surface are you using it on?

  I have to agree with Jonnin, i would suspect the mouse first. What kind of mouse is it? Wired or Wireless? Is it plugged into the PC directly or via the monitor?

Skimmed the thread so this may have already been stated.   They make a picatinny rail mount for the go pro. Doesn't do much for downrange, but it does give some call of duty angles. Would be fun in a shoot house for sure   I lucked up and got a first gen gopro out of a bargain bin at REI during one of their junk sales for like $60.

Never heard of anything like this. I mean, I suppose it's possible that the monitor isn't refreshing correctly. The image is constantly being redrawn....so i suppose that's possible.... What kind of monitor is it?

I've got this model   http://www.gshock.com/watches/Classic/GA150-1A   My only complaint with it is reading it in the dark. You can't see the digital screens at all. The light is behind the 12 marker and it's just barely bright enough to see the watch hands.   Outside of that, i've caught it on things and beaten it across multiple surfaces during use without a hitch.

  Yeah, but unfortunately with tethering/hotspot you'd have high latency. My phone gets about the same speed but trying to use it with my laptop proved to be folly.

  Paying for Comcast is like buying airline tickets. You'll always find out the guy in the next seat paid half the cost for whatever reason or another.   That's why i never talk to the first person i get, I immediately escalate. I lead off with being pissed off, because i know i will be. :)

  Well, yes and no. Download speed isn't based just on your connection, but also the pipe available from wherever you're downloading. You may find out that you're drastically under utilizing your connection. Think of it has renting a concrete mixing truck to lay down one bag of quickcrete. Sure it'll do the job... but you could probably could have done it for alot cheaper.   What kind of stuff are you downloading? I'm only saying this because you may be able to back off the speed, get the same results and save yourself a good chunk of change per month.

Hah, that's quite the pipe you have. 30mb is usually overkill for most folks. Unless you got that free... or need that kind of speed, i'd take a look at my bill.

  Well of course they have a good connection.... as a gamer you probably have at least a 30mbps pipe!   I kid.... I kid.....   Seriously though, as a gamer myself, you gotta handle your business, job included. Real life should come first. But that should be done for YOU at this point, not her. Likely you'd wind up getting that big career and providing her with everything she's ever wanted.... meanwhile Mr. level 90 paladin is able to get nudey pics of her because all she has with him is fun, there's no work involved. Then, even if she left you for him... he'd receive the same treatment down the road when the newness wore off.   I've known tons of what i call "guild girls" over the years. Always looking for the next internet white knight to sweep them off their feet. They're really just the groupies of MMO life.....   Not to generalize your fiance, but if she's doin that now, she'll be doing it later. Situations may change, but people don't. You should accept that now.   Step back and view your life with her from another persons perspective. What advice would you give them? Wouldn't you be tempted to say "she's still talking to him? She obviously wants that attention".
