Holy mother of security Batman. I think they had the entire police force here. Spotter teams on the roof, helicopters in flight... it looked like we were crossing a military checkpoint! Don't read that like I mind, I'm totally ok with LE being there, it was just surprising to see so many after Nashville being so light on security. There were even some uniformed military. Big K and I rolled in around 11am and as we pulled into one of the gates there was a massive wreck behind us. An LEO guy standing by two National Guardsmen jumped into his cruiser and while the Guardsmen jumped in with him, the LEO promptly ran over the foot of one. The show was pretty good, alot of the same from last year with the exception of pitful schwag. Last year I had a backpack full in about 2 hours. Not much to be snagged this year. But, we got there late. Perhaps tomorrow when we arrive before opening. We'll see.

Chinese SKS, tactified, need opinions
NoBanStan replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
I will dig it out. I just moved into a new house on the 18th so everything is in boxes. Headed to NRAAM for the weekend so give me a few days. -
Chinese SKS, tactified, need opinions
NoBanStan replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
It's a Romanian. It came with a 10rnd fixed and the adapter let me use an ak47 mag. Not sure how mythical that is, but it is. Maybe I do have to specific model, who knows. I paid $195 for it soaked in cosmo when I was 22. I've shot it a bunch but I've never tried to track down it's origins. -

I have an adapter that allows me to run AK47 mags in my SKS. It's small, cost me like $5 many years ago. I just have to remove the stock, pop it in between the receiver and the stock and viola. It works great but it made it very unwieldy. My yugo was my first rifle so I played around with the bubba toys for a bit and decided it worked best in it's original config. -
I've been moving so I haven't been on in a few days. This pretty well sums up my initial reaction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHpdgHTINik

+1 on checking for yourself. My brother-in-law was showing me his new AR the other day. Being a novice, he held it up in front of me, mag still in the well, and pulled back the charging handle to show clear. I watched him chamber a round without looking and then handed it to me, muzzle up. I took it from him, said "your family is up there" (2nd floor) then removed the mag and emptied the chamber. He went white as a sheet. good eye opener.

Just keep inflating, it'll let you know when it's too much :D Wait, we're in modern America ***warning, do not inflate tires until they explode, it is hazardous to your health and could cause injury or death***

It's awesome... but personally, I'm waiting for the Super Scope 6! Man I loved that thing as a kid. Battleclash was my jam!

Isn't it funny that in a manly community, talking about manly things and shooting manly guns... inevitably we're all worried about some stickers? I'm in the same boat! I got a brand new ride and it's dying to have a CZ sticker amongst a few others.... but I don't want to advertise! I JUST WANNA PUT ON STICKERS!!!

This is a very specific scenario....

Pretty sure Kyle was a fan, thus the usage. http://www.ijreview.com/2015/04/295962-marvel-comics-hero-now-icon-fight-isis/ I had this same type of confusion when i took up mountain biking. I'd say I was gonna ride my bike this weekend, someone would take that to mean motorcycle and get all disappointed when I said I trail ride.

When he first started talking I thought "man, he would make a GREAT Trevor" and sure enough... hah. *edit* can't spell
-
It wouldn't be suprising if he killed one of his own people because "they failed to contain rick's people" or something.
-
Fun fact for walking dead/gamer types: Steven Ogg (guy who did the talking at the first roadblock and beyond) is the same guy who did the voice of Trevor in Grand Theft Auto V.

No, lol. Never. If there's even an off chance that she might get a penny in advertising revenue, I will feel like I'm contributing to terrorism. Because that's what this is, an attempt to cause irrational, lasting, fear. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

TGO Meet n' Greet at Everything Weapons -- Saturday, April 2nd, 2016

Another cool TGO meetup. Always great to hangout and also meet new folks. It's hard looking at so much ugly in one place, let's be honest. But if you can get over the smell, this really is a great community. :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -
I had to blink twice to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. Then I decided to google it, but all I kept finding was posts by you :) http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334173 https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_48/374650_Remember_the_MPA_971___If_it_was_made_like_this__it_would_still_be_around__.html http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?274725-MPA-971-how-it-should-have-been I've seen a ton of G3/FAL/CETME type variants but that is one crazy looking Frankenstein. The bottom photo makes it look like a BAR and a FAL got drunk one night, decided to call over a Galil for a "ménage à trois" and 9 months later this thing arrived. I will hand it to you, it looks much better than the original. The original model looks like it used to hang out with the Calico Liberty in high school. All jokes aside, did really make this gun with ONLY a rear sight?

If my memory serves me, he also has the only confirmed longbow kill of WWII

You own at least 459 magazines for your Scorpion and can't identify that big ole banana sticking out of the bottom of that thing?! :P
