  1. I so loathe you right now.
  2. Compact, polymer, single/double with a decocker. 9mm preferrably. I (like every collector) love the flashy over engineered guns. Who wouldn't want to own a nighthawk? But for carry, I want a duty pistol. I want sights that are intuitive, I want it to point naturally. I don't mind polymer because it typically weighs less, doesn't get super hot or cold against skin. I want function over form. I want 9mm because i want more ammo. Sure a 45 is a big brute, but I'm not some combat hardened operator, I want quick follow up shots and to say "yup, under this shirt I have 33 rounds of ammo! I also don't want a safety that I've accidentally toggled or forget to unlock because I'm in a panic. You can say that's just familiarity and training, but for me that's milliseconds. Pull -> fire is my thought.
  3. I like the custom nature of the JP rifles but I have to be honest... I really hated the side charging handle. You're welcome to throw rocks or tomatoes at me. It just felt goofy.
  4. Aww man. I was hoping for the robot. *kicks dirt* schucks
  5. I'm gonna need a change of pants and a smoke.
  6. I took my kids last year. It was surprising to me just how little it had changed. Sadly, I didn't even notice the new wing until we had 30 minutes before the park closed. I just happened to look at the map and said "where's this tipped over Saturn 5????" That was a real let down just running through it real fast. You're right, that A12 is looking rough. I did get to see an SR71 at the Smithsonian annex in DC though. That ones in great shape. ***edit*** Had the picture handy. Too large to upload direct to the forum and I'm lazy. So, click you must! https://i.imgsafe.org/24d526967b.jpg
  7. As long as it's not the old location by the fairgrounds... all 12 feet of it. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  8. Sounds good. Will let you know tomorrow Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  9. Oh nice. Now which one do I want? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  10. It's a decent haul from Wilson Co, so we made a day of it. Packed a cooler with drinks and a lunch. We shot for awhile, ate, chatted with the owner for awhile then spent some time in the shotgun pit. Had a blast. If memory serves, we went on a Friday morning and it got busy but not crowded.
  11. Merry Christmas. Very cool to hear.
  12. Apologies, I said kids... these were "men". http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Two-Men-Fall-Down-Cliff-While-Playing-Pokemon-Go-386743551.html Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk ...ugh... tapatalk took me immediately to the possum post so I just noticed that my link is LITERALLY the reason the thread was started....
  13. OH I know you put a few pennies into that rail.. but honestly if you love it, it's worth it. I'm the same way. I know that I could buy a knock off for 1/3 of the price.... but i'll never be satisfied with it unless I get what I want. This is also why I have a smaller collection and tons of "long term" projects.
  14. Next thing you know they'll tell us we can't snipe hunt anymore.....
  15. Sure is a good looking rifle for such an ugly man. gratz man, that's slick. I've always loved the look of that rail.
  16. That's funny, I've come to the same conclusion about the "instincts". I haven't blocked anyone though. I've spent years being molded by the comments section or online interaction. I'm proud to say I'm fairly troll proof.
  17. Need a Systems Architect? I volunteer as tribute.
  18. One of our developers had one of the beta models (pre-facebook buyout). It's surprisingly difficult to do without motion controls. Especially if you play FPS games. When you're used to mouse look, you have to constantly remind yourself to turn your head. Definitely not easy to do with fast paced games. Sniping in Team Fortress 2 was almost impossible. Your mouse hand moved the scope around but your head could move within the scope. So you had to move your head and mouse the same direction at the same speed to get your vision and crosshair to align on your target. If you've gamed long enough to know what a "rocket jump" is... that was incredibly difficult. You almost wrench your neck off looking at the ground trying to fire it at your feet and then popping back up to fire at targets.
  19. You're gonna need a security detail. I volunteer as tribute.
  20. I agree. I would also like to add that there were a TON of choices for food and places to sit in Nashville. We had a huge outdoor area! We were lucky to even get a seat to eat the overpriced slop. We're close enough walk but decided to take a cab in today since it was raining. Damn cabby asked if he could run to the bathroom and left the meter running! Then when we called him on it he commented "oh, you want me to reset it?" We were at almost $5 and hadn't moved.
  21. If you're still around, we just ate at a place called Burger Boy, excellent burger and fries. The staff was pretty cool despite the Bernie stickers, etc. Big K noticed that they quietly pointed out my AR-15 shirt. Pretty funny.
  22. Get there early early. Seems most of the vendors ran through their day 1 schwag supply before lunch. We were told a few times to "come back tomorrow right at opening".
  23. Like BigK said, no issues at all. Not even backpack checks.
