  1. Man...porn at that speed must be brutal. Like waiting for the boob to appear in the image back in the AOL days. [emoji1] Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  2. this is why my rule #1 with comcast is always "Never change your plan".
  3. ooof, /wrists
  4. Yeah. I'm just poking fun at my own situation. Humor makes the pain go away.[emoji1] Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  5. maybe that's why i have two accounts and they won't let me close one of them?
  6. It needs to have a least a 1GB NIC, 10GB if you're trying to for a 2gb pipe. The sections about windows 10, solid state and an i7 is complete hogwash however. That's probably the minimum they will support, otherwise they'll blame your equipment for not handling their "blistering speeds"
  7. For 36 months. It won't take them that long to change it.
  8. is that a promo/prelim price?
  9. That's not bad but the upload is very disappointing.
  10. it's odd that they give you a nighthawk. I guess they were so worried about outrunning Google that they didn't have time to get proprietary hardware built.
  11. Apologies. Taptalk/Samsung made this read like I was having a stroke while I wrote it.... Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  12. I've always owned my own modem. Prepare for them to blame it on every call. I've heard that a law us also being passed to disallows Comcast from forcing you to use their tuner/dvr. I'm OK with this because frankly it's complete BS that you have to rent the #### in the first place. It's also BS that every bill has a couple dollar "local ppv fee", a broadcast fee and an HD tech fee....with does that even mean? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah I get it. What you want is what you want. I always like to chip in advice about things like bandwidth simply because a lot of folks don't get it. My neighbor, for instance, has 1 desktop computer. When he felt his internet was slow he upped his bandwidth to 300mbps from 90. He complained about the bill so I looked over his computer and figured out that it was 10 years old and chock full of malware. I had him replace it with something budget modern and had him cut back to 30mpbs. He couldn't be happier now.
  14. yeah the i 100% get the desire for fiber for that very reason.
  15. lol true, but nobody looks cool for having 1gb internet this is more like buying a chainsaw to cut a dowel pin
  16. I know a bunch of guys who use an app called ITTT (If This, Then That) to help with triggering of IoT devices. Pretty neat results https://ifttt.com/ You can also be part of the next major hack of US internet infrastructure! https://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/10/hacked-cameras-dvrs-powered-todays-massive-internet-outage/ If anyone remembers the attack on DYN a few months ago.
  17. This is accurate
  18. Honest question for those of you seeking GB speeds. What are you expecting to get from it? Are you running some type of server or online service out of your home? Hosting a website or file store perhaps? I ask because if not, you're really just paying a lot more money for bandwidth you don't need. I have around 8 wireless IoT devices, 4 laptops, a file server and my family streams video and does online gaming daily. We have a 90mb pipe and it's NEVER under load. Remember, just because you have a 1gb pipe to your residence doesn't mean you will download everything at 1gb. That's a common misconception.
  19. $2,500 is the max I could ever spend as a lump sum on a rifle. It would need to be the PERFECT unicorn firearm and I would have regret for weeks. Down the road i would still spend additional money on accessories, but I don't think I would (in my current profession) spend more than this.
  20. I haven't watched any of the reviews yet. I can't buy it right now and I don't want to get the bug. That being said, has anyone said anything yet about the grip angle? If it's like a Glock, I'm out. I've spent so much time behind CZ and HK that a Glock doesn't point natural.
  21. Heck of a view and a very nice sidearm. Can you bring it in country though?
  22. You're going to lighten to Gen 1 P-07 DA pull? It's already like 6 pounds! It's my EDC and sometimes I fear it's not heavy enough, especially in SA. I've double tapped it a few times.
  23. Regardless of accident or intentional, I don't think anyone involved will care. Nor should they. You play with fire....
  24. I don't know this person, but since we're talking about throwing pizza.
  25. Yeah it's not quite the traditional 75 grip i'll grant you that. Mine sure is reliable though.
