  1. I appreciate everyone coming to my aid. It'll be this weekend before I have the bandwidth to focus on it. Will post the results then.
  2. those cannons lost their sparkle looooong ago
  3. 3 fake guns in one photo.
  4. @BigKhad made the suggestion of sticking a soldering pin down in there to heat it up. It's all metal until you get to the polymer receiver. So that might work. Maybe i'll drill the wrench, heat it up and then try reversing it.
  5. this seems like the most likely method at this point.
  6. That's about the best quality i can get with a camera phone. I've been digging at it to try and free it up. seems the metal is quite flimsy, but it just won't budge.
  7. I don't see the polymer CZ's move very quickly on here over the years, so I want to attest to the reliability of these pistols. I have a gen 1 "Duty" model which is my EDC. I have thousands of rounds down the pipe and it's ran every ammo type i've put through it without a hitch. This model includes all of the upgraded components after the re-release which makes it even better! Don't let the polymer fool you, I will NEVER get rid of mine. GLWS OP
  8. immovable. i can probably snap some pics later. just working for the moment.
  9. worth a try for sure.
  10. I have a Rohm .22lr revolver that's just sitting in my safe unused. Let's be completely clear, this thing is a flaming bag of a$$ and i've never even shot it, but it would be something fun to test out your bluing skills. The cheap plastic handgrips are broken as well, so maybe you could fashion up some grips. $75 and it's yours (a quick google search says they're $99). Photo is for reference and not actually mine.
  11. Dang! I bought a Mosin with less grease on it!
  12. This is me, 1000%
  13. I bought some magnets, but the issue is that the set screw is recessed. Very tiny hole. I may try to buy something smaller/strong, but i worry that with the torsion of twisting the allen key... it may not come out cleanly.
  14. Probably fine for a bench shooter. Maybe a vertical or AFG under the bipod would help, but shooting it standing without a thumb grip would be super awkward. But good on you OP, it's fun to make vision a reality.
  15. So I tried to remove a set screw recently. It's 3/32 and i gave it maybe 5lbs of pressure and the allen wrench snapped off in the set screw (thanks wheelers). Now i can't remove it. Any thoughts or ideas on how to extract?
  16. Honestly, it's probably a good thing I have a wife. Otherwise I would just be sitting on gunsafes watching football on a 110" tv, eating funyuns and Ramen.
  17. with great power... you're a good father, supporting your sons business. it's only natural order.
  18. You're good man. Read up a bit more and sadly, I'm gonna have to pass. The wife needs ATs on her 4runner, but her wheels are 17s, which means with these I'm in for a set of tires AND wheels. great price though, wish you the best of luck.
  19. you poor, poor people and your too many guns..... life sure is tough
  20. Those are what, 33's I think? Also, I'm assuming there are 4 total?
  21. You probably don't remember me, we met at a Shoney's meetup years ago, but I think the last pistol i wanted (CZ P-01) you sold right as i first met you. Now a 365. hah
  22. Assuming he still has it.
  23. Appreciate you taking the time to write that up. I'll definitely have to look at the Wilson grip, i didn't think they had one to fit the xmacro. Also great idea with the smaller mags. I'm a big fan of full capacity. Right now I carry a P-07 and I can conceal it well, so i figure the full size mags should be ok, but good to know of a fallback plan.
  24. The seller probably rubbed some Hoppes 9 behind his ears. Very enticing scent for a gun buyer.
  25. This town aint big enough....
