I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis sir. All the best wishes for you there. Also thanks for the writeup.

That's nice looking for sure, but I have to ask... what makes these 1911's worth so much? I am all about spending money on quality. I don't typically cheap out but I just cannot see what makes a handgun worth $2500 (or more). Smaller batches, rarity perhaps? That's an honest question by the way, not being snarky at all. I've never asked anyone until now, but you have 4... so I assume you have your reasons. In my head I can go buy an excellent rifle and an excellent handgun for the same price. Oh who am i kidding, my wife aint gonna let me spend another $2,500 on guns right now.

https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/serbia-13500-weapons-collected-amnesty-including-rocket-launchers-99313431 Horrible tragedy and lack of compliance aside... this part stuck with me: "The relinquished weapons will go to Serbian arms and ammunition factories for potential use by the country's armed forces" Give up your gear so we can use it to equip our military...... hmm. How much do we bet a large chunk of this gets sold for profit by the government?

I feel like we need some kind of community award for Jeb and Lucky for keeping us entertained daily.

Bingo. Sucks to say, but stories like these are the reminder i needed to be more careful.

100% on notifications. That's smart. The only time it becomes a problem is around birthday's and Christmas, but the wife and I are adults so we just agreed to get over it.

you weren't rocking compuserve with a 9800baud? I got lucky that my first PC was a packard bell Pentium 1. It had 1mb of video memory with a sticker that said (upgradable to 2!). 14.4 modem... it was the bees knees

well it's that or Daryl Dixon... personally, I would align more with the Newhart crew. They were better actors.

With my current career, I've been forced to work with a much larger, multi-national workforce. I'm a small town country boy... so it's definitely taken me out of my element. Year after year, I partner with white collar knowledge workers from all over the globe. They jockey for position to be able to get a visa into the US. They work, they pay their taxes, they take on the culture and almost 99% of the time, they're sent back home (99% is probably high, but i rarely see them get to stay long term). Even IF they got to stay, it's luck of the draw based on a lottery and a green card is only about 15 years away. Meanwhile, people cross the border illegally and our government wants them to stay. Honestly, i'm not saying one is better than the other. If i lived under a brutal starvation government, surrounded by gangs and drugs... i would RUN LIKE HELL for the US border. But my point is to highlight just how stupidly broken our immigration system is. So I don't blame these people for coming over the border. I blame their government for making their lives so miserable that they have to. I also blame our government for using these people as pawns for control instead of going after their corrupt government and tellling them to pony-up

in-n-out is legit. it's coming to nashville as well.

As a kid, i thoguht it was "water burger". But instead of asking, i just tried to puzzle out how anyone would enjoy a soaking wet burger and bun. A literal soup sandwich.

IIRC they had the good long handled versions with fresh wash. For now at least, they take immaculate care of the place.

I've only had it twice. Just tasted like shoddy mustard to me. I suppose it will do in a pinch, but it wasn't anything to write home about.

Read this one while the wife was snoozing. She's not snoozing anymore. Hahaha

It's a neat stop if you're passing by. I wouldn't make a special trip for it. Custom foods, lots of branded apparel. Gas pumps as far as the eye can see. Get yourself some chocolate covered almonds. They're solid. I don't get people's love for the beaver nuggets...
