In Clarksville you can no longer carry a firearm into council meetings. It's posted. Of course, they did this in response to my former barber going in there and shooting himself in the head during session. I'm not sure how a gunbuster would have stopped that, but hey, everyone feels like they did something, right? A microcosm of the gun control debate.
Im honestly suprised that any council meeting allows cc in the first place. Arent you glad that he didnt do that while cutting your hair though. Yeesh.
I'm gonna say that would NOT be a good idea. You NEVER want ot call attention to things like that. The first thing the cowards will do is have that changed and the building properly posted. I might mention that I was within my rights but never point out the avenue the idiots need to take to prevent me from lawfully carrying.
Good point, sometimes I forget that antigun people have brains. :)

Love to have one of these, never see them for less than a grand though.

Although the gentlemen with the carry permit certainly took the high road (and bravo for that), i would have liked to hear him tell the council member with the problem that "this facility does not ban concealed carry, i'm within my rights".

you had me at bald eagles, but i lost it at "shave" the whales. bravo!

I hate my gas can. I bought it from sears on a whim when i bought my mower and the moron who designed it didn't put a vent on the back. They made the nozzle "extra wide" so the air can back flow. Yea, that's not what happens at all, it glugs like crazy. I soak half my mower every time i try to fill it. I curse it every time i use it but wind up forgetting for another week. Then the grass gets long and i repeat the process of hatred.

I'd have to cover that rifle in bubble wrap when i took it out, i'd cry myself to sleep if i scratched it! Good looking pair sir.
A girl I dated one time took me to a show indicating to me that we were going to see "that group that sings that song, Missionary Man. I think." I thought to myself, I like Annie Lennox. I like the Eurythmics okay. It'll be fun. You can imagine my surprise when I showed up and it was in fact a B-52's concert. I wasn't a huge fan, but again growing up around the Athens scene, I thought, "this will be okay." I've seen The Who. I've seen Black Sabbath and Ozzy on separate occasions, Black Crowes, ZZ Top and dozens of assorted 80's hair bands. Those were all loud. B-52's had them beat by a magnitude of scale. Kate Pierson cranked up way past the pain threshold was absolutely the single most excruciating thing I've ever heard. To this day, when I hear the opening bars of Love Shack it makes my head hurt.
I dunno, I may have you beat. My girlfriend (now wife of 11 years) asked me to go with her to a concert. "Its a suprise" she says. Yeah, it was fricking lillith fair. I wont describe my thoughts About the evening so i dont offend anyone, but lets just say I didnt call her for a few days afterward.

Since it seems there's plenty of walking dead topics in this forum. (and the search bar didn't turn up anything on it) I wanted to see how many of you have played the Walking Dead game by TellTale? http://www.telltalegames.com/walkingdead I picked it up on sale by recommendation of a friend and I have to admit, the plotline is pretty spectaular. The game really goes out of it's way to get you emotionally invested in the stories of the people you meet and then as one could imagine, human nature takes over and POW... strife galore. It really does "feel" like the tv show. I highly recommend you give it a try.

That's pretty, though I think I'm going to stay under the 1k mark with a shotgun.

I bet their copy of the 1994 gun bible didn't include things like the Kel Tec KSG. It's looks scary after all.... *edit* My guess is they're just trying to pass SOMETHING and append it as they go. like the H&K USC is on there but not the SL-8.

I love the whole part about "we don't actually tell the state of TN how much you've spent... but we're going to CYA and let you know, thus removing us from obligation."

On price gouging and the free market system...

LawVol is correct. I learned on my quest for a magpul FDE set that there's a TON of people who will masquerade the Magpul PTS (training equipment) for the standard MOE gear. Sure, they look the same but there's a difference in quality.

Apparently Beyonce (possibly) lip sync'd the national anthem because the leader of the Marine Corp band said his men just pretended to play. Something to do with the fact they never got to practice together or whatever.

Heh, it's gone ***edit*** I take that back, they apparently have some Ted Nugent .223 :D
Real nice family of firearms you got there. I have an early Mossy 590 and love it. The ghostring sight was the part that did it for me.
Its strange, I can see a perfectly good shotgun and pass it by but add ghost rings and its suddenly awesome. Maybe im just overly tacticool or something. I cant help what I like though. :)

I love my CZ. I'd LOVE to have a PCR Pro-Tek 1 but I'd have to be rolling in the dough to not have buyers remorse.

That's a great looking rifle MrBrian, you should be proud. It's tedious work but feels so rewarding when you finish and it comes out that nice.
-
Shhhh! Keep that "next" word quiet so my wife doesn't hear. I've blown my gun budget for awhile. I've got my eye on a Mossberg M590A1 with a set of ghost rings, however, I'm open to suggestion because I'm really not versed in shotguns. I would really like to get a Remington 700 PSS as well. A 1911 would also be a nice addition! and... and... and...

From the picture you wouldn't believe it, but if you sit the rifle in at an angle it fits nicely. Snug.. but no rubbing.

Thank you. I had a brother-in-law at the time with his FFL so I took a gamble and ordered that one out of a magazine for $196. Well worth the price considering I see them all the time now for $400+.

It certainly didn't look that nice when I got it. As you can imagine, it was a giant blob of cosmoline, the wood was just a few shades shy of black. I sat on floor with a drop cloth and hand sanded it for a couple days to return it to natural wood then hit it with couple coats of lacquer. I also had a few spots where the bluing didn't look that great so I touched that up as well. I've read that some people frown up that, I guess because it removes the historical look. But, it was my first rifle and I wanted it to look nice. Every time I take it out to Stones Creek it never fails that I have someone come up and comment on how nice it looks, so I'm proud of the work.
