1. Hermitage empty. Mount juliet was stocked with .223 but by the time I got there (7:50) they sold out of 100rnd and 50rnd. Got three boxes of American eagle at least. :/
2. Maybe that's you I hear from time to time. I'm outside city limits.. but sill in a suburb. :/   *edit*   Oh, forgot to add "welcome!"
3. Safety scissors right? Cuts are bad after all and the government knows what's best for you. Wouldn't want anyone to slice a finger or poke a hole in your pocket.
4. Make sure your sleeping bag is rated for the temp. Most people just assume that any old bag is fine but trust me, if you sleep cold you'll stay cold.   Bring extra socks in case your feet get wet.   One thing people forget is to bring some entertainment. If you're stuck out in the woods for a few days, having something to do like a deck of cards can really help take your mind off it.
5. I know I'm still new here, but my take on this forum is that it's a community of enthusiasts and patriots, not a business with a customer service department and an OSHA poster up on the wall. The rules of the roost are what David and the other mods say, take it or leave it.
6.   Is that why I saw all those natty ice cans on your back porch?
7. Various? perhaps one specific? :D
8.   Agreed, you can't fault the guy for aggressively wanting to defend his rights, but at the same time it makes him look like a crazy person.
9. Mount Juliet here, only thing I had damaged was my REM sleep from barrage of tornado alerts blowing up my phone.   Never heard the civil service siren though, suprising.
10.   Sadly enough this is just a photo I had readily available, meaning yes, for whatever reason, I had it saved.   The good news about George is that HBO knows the ending. He had to give it up in case he wasn't able to finish the books.
11.   Hey at least you can agree on some things. That's more than a lot of couples can say :D
12.
You know, I watched both videos and I couldnt help but think, why do people act this way.....
Well they had to do SOMETHING after Springer was cancelled. I vote we stick cameras on everyone with no sense so we can monitor them like wildlife. Occasinally have the turtle man rush in, shove them in a bag and relocate them somewhere else at random. Live Action!
13.
Nope, considering it was TV! :)
Touche, but you know what I meant. Heh
14. Seen a million of these but that's a good one.
15. My personal favorite. You have to listen to the guys commentary, despite the vulgarity, it's hilarious.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YygDUgPTqU
16. True, though you could easily see this going down with white trash as well....stupid doesn't require a color :)   On a side note, I laughed like hell watching it.
17. First thing I thought of  http://tommylinspace.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/p1090338.jpg, hopefully most will get the reference :)   Make it air tight and water proof and you'll have a nice box to put under your petunias when the gun-grabbers come to take your stash :D   Since it has handles, meaning it's meant to be moved. I'd also suggest a restraint to keep the rifles from coming out of their grooves and a better means of storing the handguns.
18. wow, well said. bravo Mr Ong
19. Is it any suprise this isn't front page news?
20. My wife and I almost did the one in Atlanta last year. I did the warrior dash year before last and quickly learned that my shinsplits would get me killed in the zombie apoc :)   Gotta remedy that.
21. http://grrm.livejournal.com/   That's George's, well, NOT a blog... I go there once every few weeks to see what he's up to. It's usually brief and you occasionally get tidbits of story, trailers for the show, etc.
22. Gah! You've broken my comment down like a CNN headline.   All I'm saying is that God, country and self growth are at the core of scouting. That's what it should be and nothing more. Scout leaders are there to be role models for those values. Your personal lifestyle/sexual preferences shouldn't make an appearance.   A good example: I was speaking with an assistant scoutmaster not long ago who discovered one of his boys showing pictures of a partially clothed woman on his phone. He put a stop to it and had a talk with the childs parents about the behavior. This, to me, is a firm example of holding children to morals.   Was it wrong for the child to be interested in women? No not at all.  Does it have any place in the Scouts? Absolutely not, it's our responsiblity as role models to help hold the children to higher standards.
23. My son recently joined scouts and I stepped up to be a leader because I was a scout and i felt that I learned plenty of lessons about citizenship, leadership and good morals. Lets not also forget all the backpacking, spelunking, hiking, camping, woodworking etc. we did (as a boy scout mind you, not a cub).   The scouts are a Christian organization. The handbooks even encourage the leader to talk to the children about God. No denomination or particular views, but softer topics like "look around at these autumn leaves, isn't it amazing what God created?" stuff like that. That being said, Christianity views homosexuality as being immoral. Regardless of your personal feelings, that's just the way it is....   So why would the scouts "come out"? To save face I suppose. Lord knows the media wouldn't ever leave it alone.   Personally I don't think gay belongs in scouts... because gay is a sexuality choice, not a personality. I also believe Heterosexuality doesn't belong in scouts either. SEX OVERALL SHOULD NOT BE PART OF A BOYS ORGANIZATION.    I wouldn't let my boys oggle some girl or for instance, because they're scouts. They are there to learn to become something greater and have some respect.
24. I gotta get me some of that sweet NATO mud!
