  1. Thanks for all the help guys. I can always count in TGO. So I also have a Remington versamax sportsman that I use to hunt with. Didn't even cross my mind to try to use that. It's a 28in though. Is that too much? Most likely will only be shooting at Orsa or Cleveland. I think the most confusing is carrying your shot shells as there as so many options. What works method works best for you all?
  2. Hey guys, Interested in getting into three gun in the near future. Was hoping to some advice on necessary gear like mag carriers and such. Don't have a lot but gotta start somewhere. TGO AR in 556 with no variable optic, just an eotech. Should I run a magnifier with that or get a decent variable optic? No mag carriers yet. Glock 17 with TFO's. Looking at getting some warren tacticals. I use this in IDPA. I have a double mag carrier. Is that enough? Remington 870 with 18in barrel. Holds six plus one. I know a pump gun isn't ideal against the Benelli m4's, but could I compete with it? Also needing shell holder and carrier ideas. Laugh if you must, no worries. Just trying to get an idea of what I need. Any help is much appreciated!
  3. I was confused as to why I didn't have a trigger spring when I went to replace the springs. The New York trigger makes sense. I left it out and function checked and it worked. Thanks for the help!
  4. So I was changing out the disconnector and springs on my Glock 17 Gen 4 and when I got done I noticed this piece had fallen out from somewhere. I have no idea where.... Sorry if this is dumb but I'm confused lol. Any help is appreciated.

  6. Hey guys, What time does Cleveland's IDPA start? I am having trouble finding it. Also an address would be helpful. Shot at ORSA's IDPA last weekend for the first time. I'm hooked.
  7. Same here with the blurry red dot. Have a TRS-25 and it's not bad. Then I got a aim point pro that did better. Sold it and moved to an eotech EXPS2-0 with the 65 moa circle and dot. Much better.
  8. Realize this is an older thread, but I had a similar problem with my EMP and came up with a solution.   I put a set of VZ Grips and some of their grip screws on my piece.  I noticed that the mag was not dropping freely.  As I was looking around my gun I noticed one of the grip screws was protruding farther out that the rest.  I sanded it down and the mags now drop freely.     As for the round unseating, I would assume that is a stiff mag spring.     Just thought I'd share my results, hope yours is well.
  9. Alabama Holsters! Nice sig by the way!
  10. www.cooksholsters.com I have a couple if theirs and I really like them. They're turn around time is usually pretty quick but I think it's currently at 4 weeks due to the holidays. I actually sold my 938 and have a holster of theirs if you're interested. Fits with a CT laser only though. Crossbreed is also an excellent choice, IMO Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  11. AGREED! Them and primary arms. Killer.
  12. I think ill do the upper and lower and keep the magpul parts black. I like the two tone look. Thanks for your input!
  13. Just completed my lower and attached the upper. I like the way it looks but I think I would like it better if my upper and rail were the same color as well. What do you think?
  14. Thanks; if I remember correctly I believe it is gun metal gray.
  15. Work done by Old Hickory Gunsmithing in Soddy Daisy. Didn't know there was such a fine Gunsmithing service so close to me. Go by and check him out if you need work done in the area. oldhickorygunsmithing.com Color fill done by yours truly.
  16. They had Magpul CTR's on sale this afternoon for $57 I believe. Placed my order around 3. Got a notification it shipped around 5. They are absolutely GTG
  17. Same here. What's the opposite of buyers remorse called?
  18. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated
  19. He said they were all factory loads. He did have some reloads for sale. I also go by that rule or with someone I know and trust. My 308 core-Lokt looks like the one on the right in 150 grain. Interesting. Thanks for the input so far guys!
  20. Just bought some 150gr Remington Core-Lokt in 270 from a local guy. Was inspecting them when I got home and noticed that one box was a little different than the other as you'll be able to see in the picture. My question is are they different bullets or did Remington change they're manufacturing at some point? Also some of the cases have rust. Primers look fine but was wondering if that will affect them. Sorry for the noob question
  21. It'd be really nice to see a website do a "build your own" LPK. Haha. Wanting a geiselle as well as a BAD safety lever in a package. I guy can dream.
  22. Thanks mike I will check that out. Actually looked at the spikes enhanced LPK with the ergo grip from Joebobs. I enjoy doing business with them. Seemed like a decent deal. PSA has some LPK with giesseles but they're not in stock.
  23. Ordered a complete upper from PSA that should be here tomorrow. Wanted to build one but I don't have the tools. Still looking for a good LPK with a Geiselle trigger. Anxiously waiting...
  24. Big fan of my SR556.  On my shortlist for sure.
  25. Primary arms has some decent deals occasionally as well. I've signed up for most of the email lists mentioned. Often check slickguns.
