  1. I ride an FJR too. LOVE IT! Fantastic bike. But if you're looking for a comfortable bike to ride you will not beat the Goldwing. Hands down it is THE touring bike. A Goldwing will make you want to take 500 mile rides on a very regular basis. They are also incredibly dependable and have huge online support networks similar to TGO, but on a national scale. They aren't going to corner as well as an FJR or a sport bike, but not nearly as poorly as a cruiser. And there is no way you would get me to ride a cruiser for 500 miles. No thanks. I like my back and butt too well to do that to them. I'd beg to differ this old man has the fastest time on the dragon and he walks away from any and all sport bikes that try to stay with him. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VxHNnOHuikI&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DVxHNnOHuikI sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  2. Oh the 97 is first year built and they had wheel bearing problems so I'd avoid that yr model also I have stock exhaust if you prefer the stock and I upgraded the seat to the 2001 model they were much better seats. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  3. Pm me if you're considering a Valkyrie. I have a 98 and would consider selling it. Can promise you this you won't regret buying a Valkyrie they are probably the best bike Honda produced. They were so good they took away sales from the goldwings this is one reason they quit producing the bikes. Even as big as they are they are well balanced the engine is smooth as silk with lots torque and power. I also own a Harley and my valk gets more compliments than my HD does. I know if I ever sell it I'm going to regret it but I just don't need 2 bikes. Mine needs nothing. I put a new battery in it this year has tons of chrome added, tires are good for another 10-12000 miles. When I've had passengers on both bikes they easily preferred the Valkyrie over the Harley. They are that good of a bike and that's not just from owning it many owners say the same. Engine will go 300,000 easily. Mine has I think 54000 on it. 6500.00 if you wanna come look at it. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  4. You won't regret getting one I assume you're looking for the newer model the RAZR maxx HD? Soon Verizon will be getting the new Motorola phones in stock as several has been announced. Although I don't believe any will support SD cards. My maxx HD has not given any issues and its been the best phone to date I've owned sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2

  7. Something sounds fishy I mean how many of you guys moved a safe? Well a real safe maybe he had some of those Walmart special type safes the ones made of sheet metal. If by chance he had real safes then it take at least 3 good size men and a dolly and a truck. Now with all that it had to attract attention. Sounds more like an insurance payout job over a real theft. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  8. OK I'm lost on this understanding, why is it in your vehicle with a HCP we can have our handgun loaded and chambered but no long gun? What is there reasoning to not have your long gun with a rnd in the chamber? sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  9. I had purchased this JP rifle from a board member back last winter and today I finally took it out and shot few rnds thru it to see how it would group. I have around 5000 rnds of 223 ammo loaded up for another custom AR I own but it has a 16" barrel so I thought at minimum I'd get it sighted in not thinking the loads I have would work well in this rifle. The load I shot today is 26 grns Varget and a Sierra 69 grn moly bullet. With rain on the way I set up an uncle Buds bull bag on the tailgate of my truck and shot this way not figuring this load would even be close to show off. One shot and a scope adjustment and here are the results. First group I thought ok I need trigger time as it was all horizontal so I figured I was pulling on the trigger This group measures .473 This second group I could see this rifle has some potential yet I still needed more time behind the trigger. I could also see my heart beat thru the scope which is not good for groups. This group measures .438 As the rain started to begin I decided one more five shot group so I repositioned the bull bag so the hand grip of the rifle was off the tailgate of the truck and I pushed the rifle up against the tailgate making for a more solid and stable hold. The results of this paid off and I may be settled in on this load for the rifle but I'm still gonna try and tweak it a bit more and see if I can squeeze a bit more accuracy from the rifle. Again these were shot at 200 yards. Thats always my starting point for any accuracy load. Finally this group measures .296 Here are pics of the rifle I was shooting today. Comments are welcomed.

  13. I would have thought seriously about filing a complaint. That's different. You weren't poking him. I dislike bad cops as much as the next guy. Doesn't change the fact that this kid was baiting them, and may have received a similar response from any LEO. What I was trying say or make a point. Is this particular officer it don't matter I was nice and he kept digging for trouble and that kid decided to approach him in his own way and the same officer still made trouble. The difference is he had a video and I didn't I was out riding my motorcycle after work. I have considered purchasing a portable cam just for these very purposes. Then here I am knocking on 50 and I shouldn't need or have worry about being harassed on the road no matter what time it is where I'm going or where I've been. Its really none of there business to be honest. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  14. You can get pulled over and be polite and answer questions asked with respect and honesty but this particular cop has a problem and the night he pulled me over he just kept on trying to push my buttons so that I would say something wrong or he don't like. There's no need for that and I didn't appreciate his demeanor but what was I to do? Best thing is just don't talk to them don't answer questions because they seem to have there mind made you're doing wrong or you're lying. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2
  15. That's the same county officer whom pulled me over one night riding my bike down 99 towards eagleville. He clearly does not need to be in any position of authority as he was down right rude to me and kept digging and picking for me to say one wrong word so he have a reason to use his authority. I've heard stories of a bounty being on his head, whether that's true or not he clearly does not need to be wearing a badge.
  16. CED makes a very accurate and inexpensive chronograph. I've owned the chrony brand and I have the ohler as well and for quick range work I use the CED chronograph. The one thing you should know the further the spacing is between the screens the more accurate the readings will be. sent from my RAZR Maxx HD using Tapatalk 2

  23. In smaller cases such as the 223 load in .2-.3 grain increments. If you have a chronograph know how to read one and what to look for. I load custom cartridges that produce very high pressures and a chronograph is a much needed tool, looking at primers for craters and such is ok but that chronograph can tell you more than any visual of a primer will. I don't have any data with me as I'm at work but one example of a pressure spike is when you shoot over a chronograph and as you see the velocity of each different charge rise and then you see the next set the velocity backs off, when this happens you're very close to a pressure spike that next set of reloads can jump from 50 fps to over 100 fps depending on the cartridge and where you're at in your loads on powder charges. I also use an Ohler chronograph with strain gauges and I can visually see the pressure being produced in the chamber on each load I fire. I know most folks don't have this type of equipment but a chronograph is your best friend and tool in reloading for accuracy.
