You need monogrammed dryer sheets for that one. :) Gonna be hard to outdo it.

I had to have a custom bag made for the front with the center being lower than the rails. The rifle is so heavy it would flatten out the bag and the belly would rub. So the new bag has a step up on it and to help the dryer sheets are slicker and helps the rifle from cutting into the bag.

    82 pounds? Is that right?

    Nice rig!!!

Yes its 82# the barrel alone weighs more than most rifles with a scope. It’s 1.45 dia at 32” Long. Solid aluminum stock, SS rails front and rear. The barrel block was machined from solid aluminum then bored and cut in half remachijed and rebored. It’s screwed and dialed into place.it all adds up and quickly.

  3. Here’s one of my Long range bench rifles I call the General Lee. The action is a Bat M Dual Port with a 1.450 dia barrel that’s 32” I have two barrels one chambered in a 300 WSM and the other a 6 BRA. Scope is a NF 12-42 BR model and the trigger is a Bix & Andy set right at 1 oz. this entire package weighs in at 82# and will shoot sub 2” at 1K FC77C531-D33B-4831-BB2C-12D44A26C19F.thumb.jpeg.e1d94c363b3670f7905a7372b6430a52.jpeg

  4. Made my first Gshock watch purchase. I'm not sure yet if I like it as it's a pretty good size watch. I do like he barometric, altitude and temperature functions it has.

    Heres what I purchased.

also I made a second purchase tonight based on many reviews and the reliability of this watch. I'm sure hoping it's not near as large as my first purchase.

I always boycott the super bowl, lol. I'm just not much of a sports fan  I guess I'd rather spend the time doing something else and read about it.

What's going on at 1/2 time?

Just a bunch political crap Lady GaGA or however it's spelled that's gonna preach it down everyone's throats. And seems to be another spies person going to be doing the same.

  6. There is a huge boycott for the super bowl due to the halftime show. I encourage you all to boycott the SB due to the political views being presented at halftime

SOOO--I checked the Gander site about 400 times today IN CASE someone had a 226 Legion .40 in their cart, which somehow got released after a period of time.  Guess what?  It happened.  so I WAS able to get it ordered.  Now 3-5 days of waiting and I will be a member of the Sig Secret Decoder club!  I saved $130 from the NRA code (NRA10) and they waived the $25 shipping fee, so ACTUALLY I saved $155.  Now the excruciating 3-5 day wait!

So what was your out the door priced if you don't mind me asking?

  9. RC Drones that is, I just picked up a quad racer last week and playing in the back yard. These things aren't easy to fly. Would love to hook up with some locals and learn a bit on how to become better at flying.

I had my controls moved up and a carry handle added. I would highly recommend both. I can meet you at SE and let you try it if you would like before finalizing your order.

I'd like to meet up sometime and give yours a try.

Have you shot any ARA targets with it yet?

No none. Well nothing official I was shooting that target posted in setting up the mid barrel tuner and after I shot the group I quit.

Im ordering a one piece rest to shoot off of instead of my long range setup

  13. Nice rifle & shooting.

Can you give a comparision between the NF and say the Weaver 36T?  I'm considering an Anshultz MPR for fun and games at the local club, and just wondering if there is a significant difference.  I have no experience with either scope as of yet.

There's no comparison between the two scopes. The NF has ED glass and a 30mm tube. The T36 can't even get close to the optical quality of the NF.
On the other side you can buy 4 T36 scopes for the price of 1 NF

  14. Here's my latest new toy. It's a Turbo RBLP 22 rimfire benchrest rifle. The barrel is a Shilen Ratchet with a Hoen tuner, stock is a McMillan Edge and scope is the new NF 42x

I shot this group Saturday evening playing around with a mid barrel tuner I installed (not pictured) its 10 shots at fifty yards.

The way I understand it you can shoot coyotes at night that are getting into livestock or posing some sort of threat to your pets.

Any chance at getting TWRA to allow predator night hunting?  People can already coon hunt and pig hunt at night so I don't see what the problem would be.

Also any chance at getting TWRA to allow center fire rifles for predator hunting during archery and muzzleloading deer seasons?  It is kind of a pain to have to switch to a rimfire or shotgun during archery/muzzleloading deer season if you want to hunt coyotes.

Our resident hunting licenses have got to be some of the most expensive in this part of the country, so it would be nice if TWRA would cut some slack on the coyote hunting restrictions.

This has been brought up every year for a few years. It never goes anywhere just for the due fact it's too easy to take a big buck while out hunting and this is what they are preventing. No matter how ethical you may be it takes that one hunter that'll mess it all up.

    Sorry, but you're wrong.

For a fact I'm not wrong just last year a coworker of mine got fined and his rifle confiscated because he had a redot scope on his rifle walking out after sunset from deer hunting.

If you all feel I'm wrong by all means go buy yourself all the lighted reticle scopes you want and have at it. It's not my money or guns.

  17. Glad this came up... I ASSUME (we all know what "assume" means) I can protect my livestock on my property from coyotes at night though, correct?

Yes you have the right to protect your livestock but within the law. You can not do so at night

  18. Are you sure? I think they mean light devices that either transmit a light onto the subject or a laser on the subject. Not a self contained reticle.

Yea I'm sure that was direct from TWRA mouth and I actually know a guy who got fined and had his rifle confiscated.
