Hi power, Yes that is the one I showed you. I am trading it today unless you want to buy it. Joe W.
  3. Went to the range yesterday and had an older guy maybe my age or a little younger and maybe his son and daughter with him. They were in the lane next to us shooting. One shooting and the other using the button to make it a moving target which is very distracting indoors. They shoot two targets and after about 20 minutes left. When we were ready to leave we cleaned up and were ready to leave when I noticed that they couldn't even swept up the shells or even throw their targets in the trash can, they just left. To me it shows no respect for anyone really nice lesson to be teaching to the young people!
  4. I was wondering if anyone here traded or sold a black taboos 1911 at one of the local gun stores ? If so would you give some details because I am thinking about buying

For years I was content owning two or three handguns, a couple of hunting rifles and a over and under trap shotgun. Sold all rifles and shotgun and just kept pistols. Went to the range maybe once a year shot the old ammo and purchased more for next year. For the last year or so I have been going to the range at least once a week sometimes more and just can't seem to find the right hand gun. I have a 9mm now that I like to shoot and will most likely keep it. I purchased a 45 and sold it then I bought an other put 16 rounds through it and went to a gunsmith to have him replace the trigger because it was biting my finger. I fired 8 more rounds and it was fine. Then Saturday I went to the and wanted to shoot a 1911. I putting 50 rounds through my 9mm and loved it. Then I said to myself I will shoot the 1911 first to see how it feels compared to my sig p220. So I shot 16 rounds through the 1911 and it felt very good. Then I loaded up two magazines of my p220 and shot, I didn't like it. Went back to the 1911 and shot another 8 rounds and it still felt very good. I then went back to the 9mm and I still liked it. So to took a break and let my wife shoot her 380's. I then put in the last 6 rounds I had in the p220 and shot it. The p220 just isn't working for me now I want to sell or trade my new p220 that only has about 38 rounds through it to get a 1911. My question is now many of you do the same thing buy a gun like it then shoot something else and like it even better? . .
  6. Also there have been times the release schedule has changed but in the 9 years of me fishing the caney I can only remember it happening twice
  7. Other item to keep in mind is the time it takes for the water to receed. The closer to the dam the sooner you will be able to Wade. I think two hours and you will be able to easily wade by the dam, but not happy hollow or Betty's island
  8. Lumberjack,   All i do is wet fly and nymph fish. I tie my own flys. I just wish they would stop generating like they have been doing these last few years. I remember fishing the Caney and they would not generate until 11:00 am or 12:00 pm and only for a few hours and stop until the next day. That was some good days.
  9. I fish the caney fork a lot by the dam, and happy hollow are two of my favorites. I also like the elk only problem with the elk is for me it is almost an over nighter. Spring summer and fall are great tail water fishing times Andrew at my age if it ain't 70 degrees I ain't going ;)
  10. Any fly fisherman?
  11. Sorry to be negative about your video but the fish you are throwing back will all most likely die. they are bleeding
  12. If they are in that bad of a part of town, that they treat customers like that, maybe they need to move or sell the business. When he asked for your DL you should have walked out. Things are changing and the LGS need to remember who thier real customers are. Not the people that are buying that don't have a clue and will never be back, but the customers who will be back week after week.
  13. My wife has been shooting and really likes the Sig 238 (380) and her 938 (9mm) she has no problem racking or handling either of these. They are SA so before she racks either she can cock the hammer for easier racking Also take her to the range to let her feel comfortable shooting
  14. yes 14.95 per box of 50 rounds and I got 10 boxs that is the reason I posted 168.24 shipped      better to know I will have some ammo to shoot in 24 days then none, which will be about the time I run out of my current stash.   I also ordered 45 and 380
  15. "Ammo to go"  has 9mm FMJ ammo for sale as of 5 minutes ago just got 10 boxs $168.24 shipped

    Opinions please!

I have and like my sr45. Easy take down for cleaning, very accurate, and I have had zero functional problems. I Purchased it from G&L and paid $429.00 plus tax and background check. I am using it as my range gun.

I traded one in two weeks ago at G&L in hendersonville. It had about two hundred rounds through it. The reason for the trade was I didn't like the way the slide was set (too hard for me to rack) Other then that it was very reliable. Give them a call they may still have it for sale at a very fair price.
  18. I have a p220 and love it after I made one change. I installed the shorter trigger. Before the installation I was getting trigger bite. I don't own a p226, but was thinking about getting one, so at this time I can't comment.

Went to G&L today and picked up a sig p220 put 50 rounds down range with no problems. This will most likely become my new carry. Also bought a ruger sr45 but wife claimed it.
  20. Ruger SR9C and android
  21. G&L got another one in yesterday. I picked it up today but didn't shoot it because of weather concerns. When I got home I decided to Field strip and clean, that is when I noticed that ruger doesn't have a manual for it. They included the sr9 and 40 manual. The SR45 has a different recoil spring setup then the others in the SR series. Besides that the gun is the same as far as field stripping. Can't wait to shoot a couple of rounds (50 to start) through it to see how it feels and acts. Before you ask $429.00

    help picking 45

Went to G&L today and rented a glock 45. Put 47 rounds down range without a problem on my part I did have a few double strikes and 3 fail to fire. I must agree that the recoil is different then a 9 mm. The 45 is more of a push, where as a 9mm is more barrel muzzle lift. Anyway no problem handling a 45. I was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with the Remington 1911?

Thanks for all the replies. What I am thinking is go to a few different gun ranges that have different types of 45's for rent and see which ones feel right if any. I do have m&p 9mm and sr9 both compact may start my search with these in 45, if they don't work move to the 1911. Which would be metal frame
