Looking at my DL and seeing my date of birth and now I celebrate the anniversary of my 29 birthday.

I am thinking about changing my G30 gen 3 to a gen 3 sf by changing the receiver. Since the the serial numbers will not match the barrel is there any legal problems with doing this and using it as a carry gun?

I have both the SR1911 government and commander, but that one is not on my list. IMO if they did a true two tone I may have consider it. This one doesn't do anything for me so, I will pass.

I can tell you many stories about the Irish gypsy scams. Had this happen a few months ago at my office as well. They had extra asphalt and would pave for $5.00 a foot. I offered $.50 since it was coming to harden, he went out to his truck to run the numbers and would be right back,I haven't seen them since. ;)

Damn, wife saw second 19 gen 4 and thanked me for getting her a second gun that she can have as her nightstand gun. :( So,I went to the LGS and picked up a G30 (45acp) which is my preferred carry caliber anyway. Now she is happy and so am I.

To rich for me,I wouldn't pay that even if it were mini-mags

My g19 gen 4 is home, cleaned and is waiting for Saturday for some range time. ;)

Well I did it. I am trading one of my Rock Island 9mm 1911's plus some cash for a new Glock 19 gen 4. After I put a few rounds down range with my new Glock, I will most likely make it one of my carry guns. 

Mini mags are 22lr just hv

Went to the range today with wife and her new 19 gen4. She locked and loaded, put 75 rounds down range without a hiccup and at 25 feet blew the center out of the target. I shot 25 rounds and again no problems. I am very impressed and may trade one of my 1911's for one. This is now her carry gun

I just can't believe, this country is or may get involved in something we have no right being involved. This may start world war III over people who have settled their disputes for centuries by killing their own. Just because they used chemicals instead of guns and knives. Even they have advanced over the years. I do feel sorry for their people but not enough for a World War! Why are we not doing something about Japan. Japan is still leaking radio active waste into the ocean daily. This threatens the entire world.

I am still in a daze. I just went to the LGS and bought my wife a new Glock 19 gen 4. Now we have a plastic gun that will be her new carry gun after we put a few rounds through it. After I got home, cleaned, put on night sights and loaded the magazines. I had to take out all of my 1911's and fondle them. I am feeling much better now. :) All kidding aside it feels real good in my hands without adding any of the back straps. Just hope she likes it or maybe not, if you know what I mean ;)

OK Mike, you have now convinced me to get a membership there. Also,congrats on your new part time job. Now you need to start convincing them to become a vendor here ;) What days/nights will you be working?

If you want a nice 380 I would recommend a SIG p238 or for a pocket 9mm a p938. Both are excellent guns have good triggers and easy to conceal. You may want to get a 7 round mag with extension on either for better control. To me the body guard has a terrible trigger and the laser is a waste for that size gun.

The LGS's that I use for transfers takes about an hour after delivery. keep in mind they are making money for just doing a little paperwork (recording fee). Most in my area charge $25.00 + background check. Not bad for 5 to 10 minutes of work with no inventory overhead on the transfer. I do spend money at these stores besides just transfers, so they are happy to do it or at least they seem to be. So to answer your question, 1 to 2 hours I would consider reasonable or if a late delivery first thing the next day.
