  1. Yes, Sam does very good work and will get it done right. He fixed a grip safety on one of my guns to save me from buying a new one and it only took him 10 minutes. Functions perfectly after the fix. By the way he is also an excellent shot. He test fired my gun with a full mag and all I saw was one hole the size of two 45 rounds. Good to here you are happy with the repair. ;)
  2. You got it
  3. I like freedom arms and Georgia ammo
  4. I am sorry for her. I bet the guy with her wanted to get a good laugh, but after this accident, he found out it isn't funny. So sad! Also, I have shot that gun and that Texas women is a better man then me.
  5. LMAO

  7. If you had a problem with the thumb safety I would look to see if the spring and plunger that holds it in place is missing. just an idea for the missing parts. I would not shoot that gun on a bet.
  8. I would be on the phone to buds ASAP requesting a refund and return label. I also have two RIA 1911's in 9mm and they are rock solid, these two guns were in the high three hundreds out the door. The grips are not of my liking which have been replaced.
  9. Also which range is it so I don't go there?
  10. That is new to me. You buy the ammo to shoot, then if you take it home there is a surcharge or if you pick up the brass there is a surcharge, nice little racket. I can understand not selling ammo unless you are going to use it at the range, but a surcharge that is just BS. I would bring my own ammo, shoot it pick up the brass and since I don't reload throw it away or find another range.
  11. Yesterday after shooting at the range, when I got home I cleaned the guns we shot. 2-SIG 1911 22lr, ria 1911 9mm, and Springfield 1911 45acp. When I was breaking down one of the SIG 1911 22lr I had a hard time getting the barrel out. It seemed like the dust cover on the slide shrank. I did manage to pull it through. After cleaning I tried to reassemble and it was hard to put the barrel back in. I turned the slide over and hit the dust cover with a hammer to reshape it. After that it went in like normal. I have had the CWA kit installed on this gun and the other from the beginning. My question is, has anyone ever had this problem and could it be caused by the slide being made of alloy? This gun has not been dropped or banged or anything like that. It is cleaned after every trip to the range, put back in the range bag for the next week and only has about 3000 rounds through it.
  12. Since I really don't need anything, is it worth going just to look around or would I be wasting my time?
  13. I have read this entire thread, reading both points and counter points. The bottom line is this guy was looking for a confrontation with LEO, there are just to many examples of this on the internet, very similar to this. This is not the wild west. When you are in public you should act accordingly. If you are asked by a police office what you are doing and you are doing nothing wrong why would you not cooperate unless you are trying to make a spectacle of yourself or you are doing something illegal. I don't believe open carry in a park with play areas for children and seeing children present is a acceptable situation especially with what has happened a few months ago up north.
  14. I like 7, 8 & 10 ;) Yes, be safe and enjoy.
  15. IMO, just a way to get the eyes of the nation off of Obama...Obamacare, etc. or the Dems wouldn't be supporting it. :snore:
  16. Any sauce that has an eyedropper for applicators must be good !
  17. Nice looking guns.
  18. Rights; If you didn’t believe in GOD or the constitution or manmade laws, then there are no Rights. Man used his/hers intellect to determine Rights. Think about it; before people believed in GOD and before laws, there was nothing to stop anyone from surviving other then one’s self. Also known as animal instinct or survival of the fittest. To kill or be killed. GOD and human law changed that or if you don't believe in GOD, then manmade law.
  19. I agree, I carry for self protection not to be a target whether it's the target of a bad guy or to prove a point. That is why I conceal carry. I don't want to call attention to myself.
  20. I clean, lube and inspect my guns after every range trip which is every week. The carry guns if not fired get cleaned, etc once a month. I like my guns cleaned and lubed.
  21. Being a native from NJ and living close to where this happened always reminds me how happy I am to be in the great state of TN. The law abiding people of NJ have to give an arm and a leg to get a permit to buy a gun, but the bads guys can get them when ever they want. Thank GOD for TN.
