  1. I was at blue line gun store in Gallatin this past Saturday and they had a used one in 44 mag. Luckily for me they didn't have any 44 mag rounds in stock, because if I shot it I may be explaining to my wife why I had to have it. It reminds me of a flintlock. ;)
  2. Keep in mind we have been married for almost 27 years, so this just makes me wonder   (Mars & Venus).       For the last year or so I have been going to the range with my wife shooting everything from 22, 9mm and 45acp, but always shooting at least 200 round of 22lr.   Last night I was counting my stash of 22lr and have enough for 8 more trips to the range (400 rounds per-trip). I say to my wife we will need to start looking for some deals on 22 ammo.       Now the wonder part.  She says why, I like shooting the 9mm, 1911 and glock, the 22 is starting to bore me. Then she asks how much 9mm ammo do I have and do we need to order more. A couple of months ago she loved shooting the 22 now she wants to just shoot the 9mm because it makes a bigger hole, that is what she is carrying and wants to be sure she is accurate with it. Keep in mind she shoots better than me at 7 yards and 10 yards right now.          Sometimes I wonder :surrender:  :stunned:
  3. If you are having a problem racking the slide on the glock, you may want to check this option out    http://www.rockyourglock.com/parts/Charginghandle.htm
  4. What a bunch of BS   I wonder if that guy is on drugs, if so, someone have him arrested for stupid.
  5. I have Simms breathable stocking foot wades. If all goes well this will be my sixth season using them. I like them and when it's time to replace them it will be with another pair of Simms waders.
  6. Hello and welcome to tgo. If the revolver you have is not rated for +p ammo you may not want to shoot +p ammo through it. The first thing I would recommend to both you and your husband is go to a good range that rents guns and rent different kinds of handguns. Find the revolver or pistol you like and shoot it. If that one is not to your liking rent another until you find the gun you like. Then when you find that perfect gun shoot a couple a hundred rounds through it to make sure. Also I don't know if you carry a pocket book or not, but if you do you can conceal quite a few different size guns. They do make concealed carry pocketbooks so you can keep the gun separate from your other things.
  7. Never made it to the show, maybe next time if the weather is better.
  8. I agree we will never see this make the news. If she would have been able to purchase the gun and then they found out later about selling a gun to someone with a warrant that would be national news. But when the system works nothing :(
  9. Just one word about the shields, they are very tight. So,when she first tries it, it maybe hard for her to rack the slide or release the slide stop. This will loosen up with some shooting and become very manageable.
  10. Please don't take this the wrong way and I mean no offense, but every time I see LDS, I think about the star trek movie when Spock said LDS meaning LSD. Sorry for this quote ;)
  11. That one can read, can write his name in the snow and likes having his picture taken. I know, he told me yesterday when I almost hit him with my car ;)
  12. Clearly those employees were overworked, hadn't had a day off in months and were working double shifts for over a year. NOT !!! A typical, they want to get paid and not want to have to work for it.. Very common in today's labor force!
  13. My kind of women. Doesn't MickyDees still sell kangaroo burgers? :)
  14. For my wife and quite a lot of money. She likes the Shield that she picked and carries. She also carries a Glock g19 gen 4. Both of these guns were her picks, fits her hands and she is very comfortable shooting. I also carry these same guns. For range shooting when not shooting the above, she shoots a RIA 1911 9mm and I normally shoot one of my 1911 45's. The best advice I can give you is don't buy her any gun until she shoots the exact range gun a couple of times, then if she still likes it that is the one to buy. Also if she carries a pocket book the added weight and size of the G19 is no big deal.
  15. I was a member of a sporting clay club in Orlando Florida up until 2001 haven't shot since, but it was a lot of fun ;)
  16. Nice looking gun ;)
  17. Simple, guns kill people or should I say 3d guns kill people, people don't kill people..... plain and simple BS.
  18. Just bought my $75,000.00 aluminum John boat it has two bells and two whistles. I love these government programs.
  19. What I want for Christmas is too "Keep Christ in Christmas"
  20. IMHO, I think the employee didn't have a well enough rasp of the English language and the veteran was also a little out of line. Let's not place the blame on every McDonald's because of the action of one employee and also let's not condem every veteran for the actions of one. I think this was an isolated incident and should be viewed as such. God bless all who served our country in both time of war and peace.
  21. I am a big fan of the 45 acp Yes, do a search on the internet and you will see why it was invented. One shot does it all, no need for 30 round mags.
  22. Some stores will negotiate some will not. If a shop wants me to be a steady customer they cut me a break or give something, for example: a free range pass. If the store will not, I will find a store that will or find excellent deals online that will cost less even with shipping and transfer fee. I like supporting LGS but I don't like to be over charged. I always do my research before buying, be it guns, cars, etc.
