    Remington R-51

Is it me (no comments Larry :) ) but was it not going to be under $400.00 now $420.00 msrp? Remington is raising the price before it hits the market.    I guessing around the $350.00 - $375.00 store retail.
  2. Never mind, I found it in the "gear classifieds"
  3. Help me out here, I can't find the "pay it forward" thread. I remember it but I don't see it anymore.
  4. Anti-christ maybe
  5. This woman/sheman needs a nice woman to take care of, because love and caring is not in her vocabulary. "Marriage between a man and a woman is a lot more than just SEX"
  6. He is done until after the elections, then he will start his BS again.
  7. I did do a few things to the guns before shooting them 1) cleaned the guns, because they were dripping with oil or what ever they use for shipping, then I oiled and greased. 2) replaced the grips, I didn't like the smooth grips that came with them. 3) replaced the recoil springs, they are not the best.
  8. Bought them online from grab a gun for around $410.00 each. I think buds guns also has them. You can also check gun broker.
  9. I really need to start watching the news, when did this happen? Before I converted my Ruger 22/45's (removing the magazine safeties),they were assault pistols and I have the scars on my hands to prove it :)
  10. We have two Rock Island 1911's in 9mm and I they are solid guns and have functioned flawlessly with about a 1000 rounds through them. When we wear these out we will definitely replace them with two more Rock's. Plus they are really fun to shoot ;)
  11. I agree with tricky nicky, I can't get behind torture as a deterrent to crime and or punishment. Almost sounds like some of the countries in the middle east with public executions and so on.
  12. You have to love our government, looks like a shotgun, shoots shotgun shells only, but no stock, so not a shot gun, a firearm.
  13. With this so called shotgun, is it legal to own ? When he/she shoots it and hurts or kills self or a bystander would you be liable? Sometimes it's no worth it. I for one wouldn't want to be within a thousand feet of this gun when shot.
  14. After 7 or 8 mags that you shoot, what I would do first before looking at other problems is, field strip the gun, clean the gun and grease the slide and continue shooting. Sounds like a dirty gun especially since you are using pretty dirty types of ammo. Give this a try. Recoil springs should last about 3000 or so rounds before needing replacement. Also, are you limp wristing the gun after shooting the 8 mags, just something else to consider.

Is it just me or does this gun look like a Bersa 380?

I looked at grip safety and or thumb safety from another side of the coin. Someone is fighting with me over a gun and he/she wins the gun, if he/she doesn't see or know how these safeties work, I may have time to get my backup gun and win the confrontation.

  19. Happy New Year Buster and you to Dave.:)
  20. Ask John & Lorene Bobbitt. If you don't know who they are look it up. ;) Also, look up John's band severed parts.

Marlin and wheel gun are excellent finds. Congratulations, very nice.
  23. IMO, from looking at the picture, they appear to add a lot of width to the grip and also look like they would be very rough on the hands. Put a nice set of wooden grips on your gun and if you want a light get the crimson trace light with the adapter. Also, you get what you pay for. These just appear priced to low to be of any quality.
  24. I can, but I'm not going there!
