  1. Mine isn't listed. Biscuits and gravy. I do know what a hickory switch is. I'm not a Yankee just polish. Need I say more ;)

    Other hobby

Mine is flyfishing and fly tying
  3. I have a shield in 9mm and use a iwb holster when I use the extended mag. Very light but easy to aim and shoot. It does have a pretty heavy recoil spring which would account for the lighter IMO felt recoil. Mine and wife's has run 100% with any ammo we have shot through it. One of our keepers. Also like the single stack 8+1
  4. I or should I say wife has two rock island 1911 GI's in 9mm and she wants another, she said the reason she wants another is so I can shoot one every now and then. She does shoot them better than her plastic guns.
  5. Mike, Sam is back, I talked to him yesterday.
  6. Most of the time an M&P shield in 9mm.
  7. Prayers sent
  8. Seems to be more to this story that isn't being conveyed imo. I would have to agree if you wanted to compare two guns side by side I would have made the same comment/statement as was stated before which was "you scratch them you buy them".
  9. I walked in there because I work a few blocks from them. Yes, I walked in looked around was going to use their range and then turned around and walked out. Just got a bad feeling. I guess my feel was right after reading this.
  10. Firing pin block/safety not releasing?
  11. Real prices, nice to see. Good score
  12. Unless your last name happens to be "Fish" :)

    1911's

You maybe a little disappointed with another r1 in SS. Remember the r1 you have has upgrades like the trigger, hammer, grip safety. The stock r1 will look like your other 1911 just in stainless steel. Of course Sam Hoster could make it look just like the SS R1 you have ;)
  14. It is a stupid idea. When you get it, can I come over and give it a try? ;)
  15. I have owned two Para expert's. Both were good shooters and ran perfectly.
  16. I agree with highpower. This can happen with any mag, the first round needs to be tight to the rear of the mag with the bullet part of the cartridge pointing for lack of a better term up. I would check the way I was loading the mag first, then the ammo and lastly the magazine it self.
  17. We have two and the only problem I had with one of them was a bur on the feed ramp. This was BNIB never fired. Jeff at G&L fixed it in 5 minutes. No big deal and it and my other Henry have functioned without any other problems even with the cheap ammo I use.    This Video is garbarge......
  18. I would recommend Remington, Ruger, Springfield range officer in goverment size. All these would IMO be good starter 1911's and you will still have a few bucks for ammo.
  19. Looks like he is in for jail, big time and this is over a $10.00 car. wash
  20. Just looked at the weather forecast for next week and they are talking about a chance of snow. I am so over this :( Let's do a road trip to PA and shoot that groundhog ;)
  21. I'm in favor to stay with just DST.
  22. You have to be schitting me.
  23. Check the series 80 arm on the frame sounds like you may have bent or broke it. also check the plunger on the slide
  24. OS, Didn't you post you had 1000000 rounds :). I like the idea and would post in that forum about improvements I made to my Ruger 22/45's and the SIG 1911 22.
