  1. Back on topic, I am still trying to figure out why a guy from TX has to come on this site after a six month old thread from a member that has been banned. Just to tell us how great these guns are. What is his motives?
  2. It depends on what I am wearing and how I want to carry.
  3. What I plan on doing is watch which banks don't follow the mandate. Those will be the banks that get my money/support.
  4. Wadcutters in 38spl would do a lot of damage, if you ever had to shoot. Jmho....

Had a good time talking guns with you as well Doug and meeting your puppy. Thank you for the coffee and chicken roll thing. Joe.
  6. To me, he looks like he is thinking OK you got the photo now, where is the beef, I don't have all day! Nice looking Dog.
  7. I have been watching armslist for a few weeks and most of the prices I see there are more than what the same gun new is worth. When I sell a gun what I look at is two things. The first is what I would get for it as a trade and what the store would sell it for. Example, if the store would give me $400.00 and then mark it up $100.00 to me a fair price for me to sell it is about $25.00 to $50.00 more then the store would give me. The second thing I look at is the reason I want to sell it. Is it because I don't like shooting it or do I just want something else. When I buy a used gun I take a chance. Most of the time there is no warranty, which means if repairs are required the cost is coming out of my pocket and if I don't like the gun can I at least break even. When I see something I want used I first check out gun broker as an example to see what that used gun has sold for, than determine if the price is fair, if not I keep looking. If it is I will buy. I do the same thing with new guns. I compare LGS prices with online prices and buy from one or the other depending on out the door price not counting sales tax of course. As for Glocks I don't understand the logical. I try to like them and I still currently own one, but I just can't shoot them as accurately as my other guns and they just don't feel right in my hands. I currently have a Glock 17 gen4 that I will most likely trade or sell. The extra mags I have if I trade will not bring any value at a LGS, so only with a private sale would they be worth something or I could sell them separately. Yes, but not what I paid for them, it would be more of an enticement for the buyer with a little higher price on the gun sale.
  8. Flyfishing for me, trout only now. I use to play bass before I had my hand crushed. :)
  9. They most likely wouldn't fit in a single picture ;)
  10. Prayers sent
  11. Nope, but as I stated, I only own it for 6 months.
  12. 1974 mustang II, bought new, owned for 6 months and that was enough.
  13. Keep in mind you are trading a very well made gun with an excellent rep. For low priced guns. Is there a reason you don't like the SIG? I would just sell him the SIG and get something you like.
  14. Just got home and was going to post this but you beat me too it. I have used their 9mm and 38spl. No complaints at all :)
  15. What you are talking about is a point and shoot, not an aim and fire target activity. If you can do a 6" group at 25' with the guns you have named you should be fine.....jmho
  16. I have a black SIG 1911 22lr with about 2000 rounds through it. It has the CWA barrel bushing, guide rod, slide and has 3 magazines. I still have the original parts. These upgrades are minor except for the slide which is almost $200.00 with shipping. There was nothing wrong with the original slide on this gun but I did have another where the stock slide was bending, which I gave away a few months ago. Since we got the Ruger 22/45's this gun has only had 50 rounded of blazer shot through it since I changed the slide and functioned 100%. I am NOT trying to sell this in this forum I am just looking for some pricing input.
  17. Gun seems to have some liquid in it. I would be happy to take it home, drain it out, clean it and return. I would do it free of charge ;)
  18. Excellent birthday present, shows he really cares a lot for you.
  19. I would also go with the Glock in gen 4, so you can better fit the grip to your hand and be able to change the magazine release to lefty.
  20. I would but I don't think the average person would. I like the cell phone idea. :)
  21. PSA has CCI sv 22lr for sale at 4.99 for a 50 round box 20 box limit
  22. I heard it was a real pu**y gun. Jmho
  23. Keep in mind the half cocked position is a safety feature. If the hammer is being manually cocked and your thumb slips off the hammer it is suppose to keep the hammer from striking the firing pin. Of course your finger should not be on the trigger when doing this. I have owned and fired the 938 it is a nice handgun for concealed carry. I also have the s&w shield which is what me and my wife currently carry with a round in the chamber and safety on.
  24. Once a Glock fan always a Glock fan.
  25. You have the same problem I have. We have lived long enough to call them remakes but to the kids they are new movies....jmho
