  1. IMHO, this story just doesn't sound right. Dogs don't bark, I just don't buy it. Had problems before and only buy a camera. Sorry just doesn't add up, sounds like BS to me.
  2. Welcome from another from Gallatin. There is an outdoor gun club in Gallatin however there is a two year waiting list as far as I know. There is also an indoor range that allows some rifle calibers, it is Sumner Gun and supply give them a call. Hope this helps, Joe
  3. Another gun that I would recommend is a Sig p220. It is the best of both worlds DA and SA.
  4. I agree, it just looks weird and looks like it would be Painful to shoot. Is it a plastic frame can't tell from picture?
  5. Watched the video and it looks like an accident waiting to happen. Also, most of us will never have to use any type of true military tactical training. Basic shooting skills, learn defensive home defense, and being aware of your surrounding will IMHO be more advantageous then what this video is trying too, for lack of a better term teach.
  6. Well, after 7+ years of service to my employer as a Managing Director, I took a voluntary layoff, which will be effective in three weeks. Basically to save two other guys with young kids from losing their jobs. Needless to say, I am looking for a new position in the Gallatin/Hendersonville area. I would like to work in a gun store as a salesman/TN HCP instructor. I don't mind starting off part time and working nights and weekends. If any of you have any leads please let me know. Joe W.
  7. I personally will not buy or sell any gun without a bill of sale. Why you may ask, because I want a paper trail if ever needed. I do the same thing with every thing I buy or sell. I also make it clean when I sell or buy bill of sale required, must be a TN resident, can legally purchase a gun and 21 years or older.yes, I know I can sell or buy from someone 18 years or older, but it is just my requirement. Most of the bill of sale thing comes from being in the corporate world for most of my working life " Cover Your Ass". jmho
  8. After looking at the photos IMHO, I would say this gun has been fired a few times, either at the factory or store. If it came in that way I would think the store would have cleaned it up to avoid confusion as to being used or a store demo. If it is a store demo it should have been discounted a little. Either way the gun would still be considered new as long as it was not transfered to an individual. I would either call the store or go there in person and request some kind of explanation as to condition when purchased.
  9. Welcome Paul and Mrs.Paul from a former Yankee from NJ.
  10. When I lived in Maryville, I would flyfish on the citico creek a few times a week. It was a blast. If I am not mistaken it is stocked weekly with trout. I still miss fishing there even after 11 years. Good thing I found some good spots on the caney or I would be making weekly road trips.
  11. Went to the LGS today and picked up a Beretta 92fs inox. Will be changing the plastic guide rod with steel and the hammer with a command style hammer. Also bought three more magazines for a total of five 15 round mags.
  12. I agree let's pick on the polish guy. Wait a minute, that's me..... :(
  13. Gave you a star.
  14. Yes that stuff, Remington golden bullets. I know they are basically garbage, but the way it is today any 22lr is better than nothing. Like I said weird.
  15. Had a strange thing happen today at the range. My wife and I were shooting our normal routine, me 38spl, wife 9mm and then after about 100 rounds we change to shooting our Ruger 22/45's. We were going through our normal contest and for the first time I was winning until I shot a round that sounded funny. I stopped shooting unloaded thinking after 40+ years I had my first squib. Wife asked where I got the snake shot. Problem is I don't have any. She said the last round I fired looked like buckshot. I then pulled in the target and sure enough it looked like snake shot. Check the gun barrel and all looked fine. Got home and field stripped gun is fine. Has anyone else ever had a hollow point 22lr bullet splatter after leaving the barrel? This is a first for me.
  16. OK got it. Let the games begin ;)
  17. How do you give a member a star? I have none, so now I going back to bathroom.
  18. Will say a prayer for hunter and his family.
  19. Just checked freedom ammunition and they have both remanufactured and new 380 ammo in stock. You may want to give them a look. ;)

I have a Ruger 22/45 feels like a 45 in my hand and after I did the mods, it is easy to take apart and clean and it has eaten every brand of ammo I feed it.
  23. Here is their phone # 208-746-3668
  24. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Joe
