  1. It is the 9mm. Setup for Glock 19 mags. The grip is a bit stubby for my tastes but certainly enough room to work with. Once you put in a magazine you don't really notice the lack of room in the grip too much. I'm going to really enjoy shooting this one, I can already tell. :) Nice set up. I've been eyeing one for awhile just haven't pulled the trigger. Def let us know what you think after you shoot it. "Stubby" won't be an issue with that 33 rounder in there. I wonder if you a +1 extension on a G-19 mag and put it in if it would help feel better to your hand. I'm thinking about the one many people put on the G-26 mags.
  2. Maggiano's on West End Ave. is INCREDIBLE. Like Garufa, I'm an Altruda's fan, but Maggiano's is better. +1 Maggianos Also for Italian you can try Mama Mia's on Trousdale Lane in Nashville. Hole in the wall kind of place. I've eaten there a couple times over the years has always been good. Disclaimer: I haven't been there in probably 2 years as is a bit out of the way for me. Bricktop on West End (across from J Alexander's) is good and serves a mean deviled egg appetizer with brown sugar bacon.
  3. Lol ... I don't participate in any flashlight forums but have a good friend that pretty much posts daily on CPF and BLF. I just learn from him and get him to send me pertinent reviews when I'm looking at a light. Cooler forums?!? I know nothing of such and use one I bought at wal-mart for $10. The only "obscure" idea I know with coolers is that when the ice melts its time for more.
  4. Well, still, any dead mammal smells same to me. When I was a little kid a nearby farmer let a dead horse just rot in a field. And of course I made nearly a daily trek over there to check on the progress of the composition, fascinating. But the smell was 'bout same as all the other ripe mammals I've smelled since, including Bass's human stiffs over at the Body Farm, or that poor feller today. Btw, I was just putting the rest of them in the fridge and there were two Japanese beetles in there I picked along with them. :) They were sooo sweet, I put some milk over them, and they even made the milk taste like it had been laced with sugar. - OS What was sweet? The berries or the beetles?
  5. There's a really good McDonalds in Hermitage, TN.
  6. "Gun fund to replenish"?!? Replenish?!?! What is this concept? Does not compute. Seems like mine empties out as soon as I even get a whiff of being near a gun shop. Ha. OP nice pick up. Is that the 9 or .40?
  7. I'm ashamed he is an American as well and wish he would take his bleeding-heart somewhere else.
  8. I too became "illuminated" to this flash-light subculture some years ago (do you see what I did there? if not I can "throw" some light on it for you ... ha!). And I too was surprised to realize the depth of passion and craftsmanship in some of these "non-Walmart" style flashlights. I've "plugged-in" a bit to this culture and have been "turned on" to some of these lights myself. I have several fenix lights, as well as some surefire and 4sevens also. They're all great lights and the differences (at least to me) seem subtle; typically between UI's of the light. I don't think you'll go wrong with any Fenix. From my experience they have great customer service. I have a PD31 which was a few months out past it's warranty and the head quit working. They replaced it for free even outside the warranty window and threw some freebies in the return box as well. Are these lights better than stuff you can by at Walmart? In the same since a high-end custom Nighthawk (or other) 1911 is "better" than a basic $800 entry level 1911 sure; but it sure does hurt to realize you left a $60 flashlight at the baseball game and its gone. None the less, I bit and am a believer. Make sure to put a review up of the LD20 If you decide to go that way.
  9. Shooter's on Murfreesboro Road usually has some little shiny pendant gun type of things in the case to the right when you walk in.
  10. Are you sure that was the jalapeño and not Javier's "burrito?"
  11. Hahaha. Best parts: "Can you tell me why you spend so much time worrying about the zombie apocalypse when your fat @$$ couldn't survive a walk around the block?" and "Why can't you use the Internet for porn like a normal person? Are you aware you could be looking at a naked woman right now? A naked man? Naughty barn yard animals?" Haha thanks for sharing :)
  12. Well, I wouldn't suggest going mano y mano each time just to get that sure a shot as a long term strategy! - OS I agree and keep my PF9 only as an athletic shorts type of carry gun since its lighter than my normal.
  13. Sounds like Zimmerman needs to get in touch with whoever offered Snowden asylum and get out of here.
  14. I'll get that started now with this statement: Glocks are the best functioning and best looking gun ever made. All 1911's are substandard junk and should be shipped to places like CA and NY. Also ... 9mm is a far better defensive round than .45
  15. Maybe he'll turn into a Jeremiah Johnson, having to take on assailants one at a time for the rest of his life. I suggest he pick up something with more than 7+1 though. - OS Only took him 1 bullet last time (disclaimer: I own and frequently carry the Kel-Tec PF9). And wow ... O'Mara telling it like it is. "If Z was black this wouldn't have been brought to court." (paraphrased).
  16. Hasn't responded in any of these threads. Several are anxiously awaiting to hear from him.
  17. I noticed that as well. Definitely not the reaction I was expecting from her. Closet Zimmerman supporter?
  18. Just now on CNN: "This doesn't mean he's innocent, it means the state didn't meet its burden." These libtards just don't know anything.
  19. "This case isn't about race" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Is telling jokes in your closing argument normal?
  20. Sadly ... I think in the future these emotion based closing arguments will carry more weight to the jury than will facts. Especially considering the education system is systematically ruining people's ability to think logically. Watching this guy makes me sick. He isn't presenting facts. He's clearly playing to the motherly-instinct of the women on the jury and hoping to get a sympathy conviction. He should be embarrassed of himself.
  21. Alternative closing remark (focus on innocence): Ladies of the jury, it's clear the facts show Zimmerman is innocent, and free he should go
