  1. clearly that bicyclist ran into the police officer ... at least that's what some on this forum would have you believe.  don't believe what your eyes see; only what the police tell you.
  2. Broadway Brewhouse has good food and a lot of beers to choose from. Flying Saucer probably has more, but I second the above opinion on its food. As far as another cool place for music, I like the Big Bang. Dueling piano bar above Paradise Park. On the opposite side of the street from The Stage and etc.
  3. Hmm ... I wonder why the USPS is going broke? I hope there isn't a ton of money in the envelope.  It'll be a funny story to tell once you get it; until then, it's frustrating.
  4. Ebay hasn't figured that out yet?
  5. I have to say I feel the same way.
  6. Helicopter?? haha ... you're so old fashioned ... the only way it was a helicopter was if it was a helicopter drone ... other wise, I'm going with standard drone
  7. Sounds like you guys are jealous that those of us in the chat room were having a grand ol' time!! :) ... Jk. I got the same error message.
  8. Ninja Turtles are fiction? Clearly he hasn't spent enough time in the sewers or at local pizza joints ...
  9. I don't have a problem giving out zeros but I'm fighting an uphill battle in that regard. I had students turn in work from the 2nd week of school in April and I had no choice but to accept it. Turning in work late is a 'behavioral issue' and isn't a 'grade issue'. who says you don't have a choice but to accept the late work? is that a call on the administration's part? edit: don't wanna sound like a jerk, just wondering if you really have much of a choice in the matter
  10. It's really coming this year ... Some guy on ar15.com told me so.
  11. :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned: :censored:  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:
  12. I just talked with a member of the school board and figured out the idea behind this. They obviously couldn't just GIVE these kids a 50, because that wouldn't be fair. But it's also unfair that some kids have 100s and some kids have below passing grades. So they're going to take points from the kids with 100s and give to the kids with less. They call it a "grade tax." This way, all the kids prosper and can get into good schools. It may lower the grades of those kids with 100s, but what do they need such high grades for? Now, what are they going to do if they run out of points to redistribute and kids still aren't passing you ask?! And the answer is equally as genius. Knowing that plenty of kids have done well for several years and, for lack of a better description, "put 100s away for years," they're going to go back to those years and pull points from those previous years and give to kids now. By raising everyone's grades in this manner, the class as a whole will prosper and less kids will be forced out of high school.
  13. I was thinking around there. If you have a multiple choice test with 4 answers to each question; even if the kid is a complete moron, he had at least a 25% chance of getting each question right. So unless the kid is a completely unlucky moron he should get something higher than a 0.
  14. Earlier in the video you can hear his phone snap a picture. It's either before or after he calls it in. On another note. Since so many of us like to Monday morning quarterback LEO's, I thought this guy was very professional and did a good job (unless of course he snapped a pic of the DL and sent to his buddies).
  15. Me too. You could try driving it down to the factory in Smyrna, GA and talking to them in person. They spent a lot of time and practice ammo in one of my bro's Glock's with a brass-to-face issue and wouldn't give it back till they were satisfied with it (subsequently he is also). You'll get a lot of free goodies too (lanyards, decals, etc.), and it's not too awful far from GA Arms (for ammo) and Moss Pawn of YouTube fame. I've been probably 4-5 times (live in Atlanta right now) and they've always been friendly, helpful, and efficient.
  16. Yes!! Me as well. Definitely throw up a review if you try it. ... just know I WON'T be making a bid on it when you put it up for sale in the "non firearms classifieds" here.
  17. Has anyone used the candle method to clean their ears?
  18. I'm pretty sure being Muslim, irresponsible, anti-Constitution, and just generally a whiney drain on society are against my religion. Who do I need to register my complaint with so these things can be outlawed?
  19. I've never scratched so hard I've bled from my ear; but can sympathize about the inner ear scratch "eargasm." Sometimes it makes you wanna shake your leg like a dog that's gettin' that spot on his belly scratched. Haha. Personally, I only buy Q-tip brand. It's not so much about the cotton, but the stick part for me. Q-tip has the best strength in the stick. I've used many others that fold, break, tear, or become absolutely useless because the stick is too cheap. Also, the size and density of the Q-tip swab is right for me too. Some of the other brands you get are either too small or the cotton is unraveling in your ear and you aren't able to scrub/scratch hard enough to get anything done. I also prefer the standard white stick of the name brand; I don't need no pastel green pseudo-plastic shaft attached to my perfectly sized cotton head! Anyway, I try to buy from CostCo when on sale. Back to your question, as far as the bleeding goes, hopefully it stops. You may have just dislodged a scab or something. If it doesn't I'd definitely get it checked out. I assume you're hearing hasn't been effected? Don't want the ear drum to be bleeding.
  20. Mine is on there for sure (probably multiple countries' list actually). This is a fun little app. If you don't want to blow up the world, you can zoom out, click and drag quickly to the side, release; and spin the "digital globe" just like I used to with the real globe in school.
  21. @li0nsfan I disagree with you on many things: 1. The LAST thing ANYONE should do when going into backruptcy, is to take on new debt. 2. I understand your truck analogy (by the way, you can make money play video games [majorleaguegaming.com/]). My answer would be to buy a truck with the money you've saved, not go into debt any further, and continue working. It may not be the most brand spanking new truck on the lot, but you could buy one that will tow a load. And if you've been irresponsible enough to own a trucking business without setting aside an emergency fund for when your truck breaks down, then you find a trucking company that you drive for without owning the truck. 3. What you're saying is that it is ok for the city of Detroit to buy a new toy (yes, a stadium is a toy); when they can't even afford the necessities. If the Red Wings want a new stadium, fine, grant them the land rights and whatever approvals they need to build and fund the stadium themselves. No need to burden the municipality with all that debt (see #1). How many stadiums actually turn a profit for themselves v how many require continued injections of new capital from the cities? 4. If the Red Wings can't afford the new stadium out-right, go on a capital building fundraiser until they have the money, or save up for it. Why not let the player's/coaches contribute? If the fans want it, take a collection; sale some stuff. Who knows. All kinds of ways to build funds for an organization like that. 5. The argument that the stadium is going to bring in a new tax base ... doesn't the current stadium already do that? A new stadium will maybe increase that tax base just until the newness wears off (a few years); then it will be back to what it is now, only with a lot more debt involved. And by the way ... the city is going to get taxes from goods sold in/around the stadium regardless of whether they pay for it or not; why pay millions of dollars for that privilege? 6. Yea, it sucks for the surronding areas that contributed to the stadium fund; but when the oil spill happened in the Gulf a few years back it really sucked for anyone that owned BP stock. That loss will have to be written off as a bad investment; and they should learn from the loss (vote out the idiots that approved it). 7. What's the difference in these two situations: 1.) the poor "from-the-tit" community begging Detroit for new subsidy for gas money (or whatever they want, you make it up) when Detroit is going broke; and 2.) the middle-class "hockey fan" demanding a new hockey stadium when Detroit is going broke? No difference, they both need to be told NO! 8. Why would you build a stadium somewhere that you can't guarantee the lights will be on. It's a lot easier to watch games when the lights are on ... just ask New Orleans:
  22. Posting my response to this incredible d****baggery would likely result in warning points and being on an NSA list.  Since I'm likely already on an NSA list (or two); I'll censor myself for the sake of my warning points.
  23. not only how quickly he pulls the trigger, but check out that reload speed.   :stunned:
  24. So basically what you're saying is this: I have $500 in the bank that I've saved for the new Xbox ONE. I've recently lost my job, and can't afford to pay the utilities. But it's ok for me to NOT use that $500 to pay my necessities, because I previously earmarked it for the Xbox. And after all, when I have the new Xbox ONE, my friends will come over to play with the new system even though they haven't been coming to play with the old system for quite sometime. Having the new system will all of a sudden mean they over look the filth in my house, and the fact I can't keep the lights on, and they will come over to play with me again.
