The most stupid movie-firearms mistake i've ever seen.

Gifted: grandpa's Smith Model 30. Still have. Bought: Smith Model 57. Sold years back. Wish I'd have kept it.

KJ is pretty cool. My wife actually co-wrote some articles with him a few years back.

All it's missing is the factory-fitted holsters for your twin Bobergs.

I spent about 7 years (2000 - 2007) working for a firm that managed 3rd party engineering and quality management for the Big 3, as well as transplants and their tier 1 and 2 suppliers. Physically spent time large number of assembly plants and supplier parks in North America. Over those 7 years the brands that we had the most issues to chase down were DaimlerChrysler (at the time), and GM. Ford was fairly consistently high in quality. The worst facilities I personally saw were GM Shreveport (now Elio) and (surprisingly) Nissan Canton, MS (was there for the Titan launch in 03-04), and GM St. Therese (closed 2002). Could be that the available workforce in each area was horrible, but you couldn't give me a vehicle that was made in those plants in the 2000's. GM Mex is crap (Ramos Arizpe and Silao). Same with Chrysler (Saltillo Truck). Warren, MI not much better. No confidence in GM/Chryler products.....some confidence in Ford. I drive Toyota, Honda and Subaru.

Good on ya! Role modelin' kids and teaching them a really cool, almost-lost art. World's a better place because of ya.

Is this a termite, or just a flying ant?

Yup...with the crap they had to use for a few years in between chlordane and fipronil (Termidor) retreats were commonplace. If you were lucky enough to have an older property where chlordane was used, you probably won't have termite problems. Fipronil's about as effective. If you have a property that was treatefd with Dursban or Demon or something of the like, you'll have to retreat at some point. They were good for about 5-7 years if you're lucky. -
No sweat. They aren't the cheapest, aren't the most expensive, but the owner's about as honest as they come. If he tells ya it's Christmas, ya can hang yer stockings.

Call Grubbs Pest Control.....384-7246. He'll do ya right. I can personally vouch for 'em. Won't BS you, won't lie to ya, won't overcharge ya. Most honest guy you'll find.

Can't tell from the angle for sure, but it appears that the 'waist' is symmetrical to the 'body'....wings same length, antennae straight. Yup....looks like a woodeater to me. -
I'd go with the G17 for what amounts to be a different reason than most likely have. Let's say I was involved in a shoot (good shoot, of course) and it was kept in evidence for a fairly long time period. Confidence in the firearms being equal for the purpose, I'd rather 'loan' my Glock to a PD to babysit for a few months than a Sig....cheaper to replace if it were 'damaged' in the process. I carry my G19 24/7 as a tool because I'm not aesthetically attached to it. My pretty guns are for fun.

I was there Wed - Sat for a conference (and the food). Appears I just missed the drama. Gotta say the Quarter stunk like sewage. NOLA is the only place I've been that I've had a constant uneasy feeling other than Compton.

I carry my Glock concealed while carrying my 1911 open. The 1911 is sooo pretty I want people to be distracted by it while stealthily deploying my uber-reliable Glock (in the event I'm not carrying a 1851 Navy in the open hand). Seriously, though....I CC. I'm shy that way.

He'd of course need a Glock butt plug, and maybe a bevelled well. -

No sweat. I know there's a 'pay it forward' thread in the classifieds section. I just posted here because I didn't want to pay the $20 to give stuff away. Maybe our mods can start a 'freecycle your stuff' thread somewhere other than a pay-to-post thread. But, that may be more of a headache than its worth....just a thought. -

PM's replied.....looks like smokin45 is today's grand prize winner! If I find any more stuff laying around that I won't use, I'll do the same thing. I'll be going to dad's house in the next week and see if there is anything else laying around there too. -
Welcome to TGO, Joe. Thank you for your service.

Good point. In the event that silence and ammo bulk aren't a major consideration: 1. Saiga 12 2. G17 x 2 3. Homemade claymores / Machetes
-
1. 10/22 with SWR Warlock supressor and rubber recoil buffer (silence is golden, and ammo easy to carry) 2. Matched pair of Walther P22's with Tac 65 supressors 3. Louisville Slugger and machete
