I would have left and called the cops to report the crazy guy with a bat. He may win in court but it would be a expensive victory.

Good bad or ugly on Berretta PX4 Strom compact or sub compact?
battleop replied to LenoirGunner's topic in Handguns
My wife really likes Beretta stuff so she picked up a sub compact when they were new. She carried it for a while until she found something else she liked and gave it to me to put back in the safe. I've carried the PX Storm a lot but as JPS mentioned it's a little thick so sometimes in the summer a tighter fitting T-Shirt may reveal you are carrying. When I complained about this to my wife she decided the best way to fix that problem was by buying me a Beretta Nano. So depending on how I'm dressed I'll either carry the PX Storm Subcompact or the Nano or sometimes something else that raises it's hand when I ask which gun want's to go on a field trip. :) -
Yes, VERY Slow process. Even at the rate of finding 2-3 bricks a month at a decent price is probably faster to hunt 22 than it is to roll your own.

They probably had no idea it was civilian. After all who in the hell flys a civilian plane just 1k feet above the no fly zone that's over an area that is at war?
-
They probably thought no airline was stupid enough to fly over a war zone.

Sign the petition: remove suppressors from NFA
battleop replied to daveW's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
As much as I would like to save the $200 it's not the $200 that I have a problem with. It's the almost 12 month waiting period. If they are worried about the revenue they can take them out of the NFA but still keep a $200 tax on them. -
‘Open Carry’ Gun Fight Moves to Target Stores
battleop replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"Walmart". Seeing how they sell guns and ammo and they are from Arkansas and the majority of their customer base owns guns it a not very likely. -
No thanks. They did a VERY poor job of handling my order for 22lr awhen this mess started. They tied up a few hundred bucks so I could not take my business else where. It took weeks to get a response out of them. Only after I threatened a charge back did they offer me a refund and a priority chance at the ammo at the original price when it did arrive. Of course that never happened. By the time my money was released all of the 22 had dried up.

No, we are just tired of ass clowns who continue to make it difficult (and expensive) for people who want keep shooting. I have a job unlike most of these jackasses so I can't devote time to sitting around waiting on someone to put ammo out.

As a neighbor of an A Hole that has one I hope they catch on.

I've been reloading pistol for a while but now I want to start loading rifle starting with .223. So I'm a little confused about .223. Is .224 the same as .223? If it is why are rifles .223 but the bullets are .224?

I can't help but wonder if this kind of stuff is a by product of the 24/7/365 production that's been trying to keep up with demand. In an effort to try and meet demand it's a combination of lower quality control standards and more less experienced employees making lots of product.

"What are you so afraid of that you have to carry a gun?"

^^^^^ This answer.... -
If it bleeds it leads. This stuff is big business for the media.

If I am ever in that kind of situation I don't plan on confronting them directly because if this very reason. It's also a reason why I would never open carry. On the other hand I would not think twice about shooting someone from behind if it meant stoping them from shooting others.

Comcast wifi free for the masses on your dime
battleop replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
"So what's to stop setting up an XFINITY ssid with a fake webpage redirect and harvesting Comcast credentials?" Nothing. Setting up a honey pot is trivial and it's done often. I was talking to a group of executives not long ago about security and this was a reason to use your own MiFi/Teatheing and a VPN in stead of trusting public WiFi. -

I'm not too big on Gander Mountain. I went to the one in Valdosta and was treated like shit because I was wearing an Alabama T Shirt. I guess they only wanted to help Georgia fans. Had a similar experience in Knoxville so to hell with them. I'll visit them the next time I go to Dicks...

Comcast wifi free for the masses on your dime
battleop replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
YOU are not the one operating the guest network so you are not the one responsible for it, Comcast is. They are net network operator, not you. It you setup the network they you could be responsible but in this case you are not. -

Please stop spreading this disinformation. You are absolutely NOT responsible for what happens on their guest network. -

It won't count against you at all. If it counts against anything it would count against their caps. -
Comcast wifi free for the masses on your dime

A lot of people are getting worked up over nothing. 1. You can turn it off. 2. It is not in any way connected to your LAN 3. Guest users do not count against your caps 4. Guest's bandwidth usage does not take away from your usage. 5. You are not responsible for what anyone does on that connection. You have to sign into your Xfinity account so they know who is using it. 6. You can disable it.
