1. I just lef there at 7:50pm and they had a fair amount of 9mm 40 and some .223. Since I have some of each I didn't buy any ammo but I did finally get some small rifle primers. If everyone would buy what they NEED and not hoard then things will return to normal and then people can slowly build up their reserves.
2. If it was a Dodge there would be a lawsuit because of the commercials where they drop their trucks...
3.   Court documents reveal federal agents were watching Adams for years and that some documentation was missing “to determine to whom Adams [was] selling or exporting his firearms.”   The guns were also not properly marked possibly to make the guns more valuable and to avoid paying high import taxes, investigators alleged. However, a bigger concern is that no markings on the guns and missing documents mean the guns are not traceable by law enforcement. The search warrant also said Adams was investigated in Canada for keeping about 80 illegal guns in a storage unit. U.S. agents worked with Canadian police on that case.   From the original post you would think that DHS just picked some random guy and raided him and stole his guns.  Sounds to me like he was an FFL or acting as and FFL and he was not keeping records and may have had guns without without serial numbers.  He has probably not been charged YET, with the key word being yet.
4.     Ace Hardware sells ammo?
5. I think I saw a quote from Ronnie Barret where he said their profit came from civilian sales.
6. Smart safe placement
7. I would support S&W right now if I could find an M&P 15-22 in a store to buy. :)
8. Good luck getting an order with these guys. I ordered a case of 22 from them a few days before Cristmas. When I ordered the ammo their site said to allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. I understood there would be a wait and why. A month later I had not heard anything so I contacts them and they told me sorry that item was no longer in stock. At the time I placed my order and for another week or so I could still find 22 from other venders. By the time I had to ask about my order all the 22 had dried up. I am glad I already had a decent stash of 22 to begin with and I'm not depending on these clowns.
9.     If it is nothing will change.  If they do away from the BATFE the AT part will likely fall under the DEA (where it should be anyways) and the FE part would go to either the FBI or ICE.
10.     Not everyone works on the 1st or 2nd floor....
11.   I doubt this is the reason for the insurance but.....   There are a lot of "law abiding, tax paying, legal citizens" out there that are responsible for accidents.   I think we have read about recent accidents at gun shows and children who were killed due to carelessness.   Should it be mandatory? No.  Should you loose everything if you are responsible for injury or death? Absolutely! and if you are too damn cheap to not carry some sort of liability insurance the sorry about your luck.
12. I talked to the employee at the sporting goods counter at the Wal-Mart on Signal Mountain Blvd yesterday and he said they were getting about 20 boxes of 22 a week and it was pretty much gone as it was put out.  The lady at the Brainerd store said they were getting some 22 at least every other day and sometimes daily but it didn't last long.   She said someone had told here that it was starting to last a little bit longer as time goes on.   I guess that means it's starting to last minutes as apposed to seconds after it's put out.       Both stores had limits on ammo.
13.
Please explain. Are you advocating the purchase of personal liability insurance for the ownership of a gun?
Not just for owning a gun but for general liability. I think we pay around $100/year per $1,000,000 for our umbrella policy.
14. It should not be mandatory but you would be crazy to not carry liability insurance in general.
15. This is a very dangerous question.  It's best to stick with loads from reputable published data.  It's OK to ask for suggested loads but always verify that data with a reputable source before you blow your gun up.
16. You can certainly skip the cleaning process but your quality will go down hill the more times you reload without cleaning.   I like shiny new looking brass.  Out side of the above mentioned reasons I prefer shiny looking brass because it's smoother which means a lower chance of an extraction problem.  I usually throw a few hundred cases in the tumbler before dinner and then come back and decap that batch and throw it in the sonic cleaner for about 15-20 minutes.  Then from there I throw the brass in my wife's dehydrator and then back into the tumbler for 2-3 hours.  Once that's done I separate the media from the brass.  If I don't think I will touch the brass for an extended period of time I will throw the brass in a bag and separate seal it until I need it.   I know that's way to much but when it comes down to it I spend about an hour total to process about 800-900 rounds not including the time that elapses between steps.
17. Reciprocity would be the only possible need for this however it looks to me like Tennessee is doing a pretty good job at it already.  Why not just suggest that states use the Tennessee model and leave the Federal Government out.
18.   There really isn't much of a reason why you can't make used brass just as pretty as new brass.  I usually sonic clean and tumble my brass and it looks just like new brass.  To me part of reloading isn't just the cost savings but something to wind down from a busy day of multi-tasking.        Better quality ammo is another reason.  I've got .223, .243, and 7mm bolt action guns that shoot horrible groups with factory ammo.  With ammo custom loaded for each gun they are tack drivers.
19. When confronted about gun control he hides like a coward behind his security detail.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCC-rEx81PE&feature=player_embedded
20. David, do you ever make it to Chattanooga area gun shows?
21. +1 on the Lee dies.  On a single stage add a Lee funnel to the top of the expanding die and you can easily charge and expand in the same move.
22.   I've bought these at Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace Hardware many times.
23.   It's going to be very random at best.  They simply do not have the man power to spend a lot of time on this.
24.   If you proxy these sales through an FFL would you still be subject to this rule?   I.E. buy them on gunbroker.com and then ship the gun to the winning bidder's FFL?
25.     I don't have a problem at all with a bill that just gets "Illegal Guns" off the street so long as they leave "Legal Guns" alone.  I don't think I've ever seen a Mexican gun laying on a street anywhere.  :)
