  1. I would not read much into this. From what I understand there were some situations where the same was done for George W. I could not imagine how difficult it is to protect the POTUS today regardless of who won the White House.
  2. No but a bunch of them protest at soldiers funerals which is just as reprehensible
  3. The last one I found with a quick google was April 1, 2012. They do happen just not as frequently.
  4. Is it safe to assume that Westborrow Baptist speaks for all Baptist?
  5. "Most only carry 3 or maybe 4 magazines anyway(long gun) and 2 extra for pistol. Why should they be restricted to 10 or 7 round magazines? That doesn’t make much sense does it?" One crybaby posted the above. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
  6.   This is what happens when you have a lot of stupid people in your state.  This is probably done because there are always some jack ass that will get out, get stuck and then call 911 for help.  I really doubt that anyone will get anything close to a year if any time at all.
  7. I wonder how the 40.1g loads would work after the barrel heats up.  There is quite a difference between the 40.1g and 40g groups.    I am getting ready to start my science experiments as soon as I can decide on and find the right powder to use in my Kimber .223.
  8. Seven times in the back seems to be a bit excessive.   Then again if he had not illegally crossed the border then he wouldn't be there throwing rocks and would still be alive today.  In the end it's his own fault.
  9.   I think he was removed from his job at the time of some investigation and never returned to it so he didn't have a chance to do this.
  10.   This pretty much says it's a 5 year contract.  1.4 Billion / 5 years / 50000 officers = 5600 rounds per officer.   Many of these officers / agents must qualify 4 times per year so that is not a lot of ammo per officer over the next 5 years when you consider that many have to qualify with both pistol and rifle calibers.
  11.   I know several agents that fall under DHS and they do practice with what they carry.  When they order ammo from what ever depot they get it from they just specify caliber and how much they need.  They don't specify if it's for practice or duty.
  12. I stopped in the new store in Valdosta GA last fall.  They were such assholes to my wife and myself for wearing Alabama T-Shirts I made sure to let the manager know I will never spend a dime with them on my way out.
  13. I tumble about 30-45 min before decapping if I am going to use a caliber specific decapper.  Then I decap the primers and throw it in a sonic cleaner for about 20 minutes, then into a dehydrator and then back into the tumbler for a couple of hours to get it shinny.
  14.   They would have a milky haze.  Watch the video link at the end to see how you apply it and that it has a milky haze to it.
  15.   It's like the study that says that people who drink Diet Coke are more likely to be fat.  The problem is not with Diet Coke, the problem is that people eat a triple meat cheese burger and then they think drinking Diet Coke will make up the difference.
  16. You know their fight is getting tougher when the Clinton News Network starts to run these types of stories.
  17.   http://www.walmart.com/ip/Reynolds-Wrap-Aluminum-Foil-150-sf/21129702   Hurry before the sell out.   Seems you missed this part of my idea.....  "This background check would OPTIONAL"
  18. ""I don't care if the name is Nathan Bedford Forrest, he's a dead man," Councilman Harold Collins told MyFoxMemphis.com. "We need to be focusing on the living. But except for that, I'm going to vote for this and who knows, we may come back and name the park Nathan Bedford Forrest." So with that logic we should rename streets named after certain dead men?
  19. It's stupid on the side of the school and cops but it's equally just as stupid on the side of the parents.   I think by now we all know that schools love knee jerk reactions and love this kind of attention.  Why in the world the parents would not be on the look out is beyond me.     Several times a week on my way to school to drop off my 9 year old I talk to him about this kind of stuff and explain to him that it's probably not a good idea to talk about guns at school.  I also quiz him about what the teachers and faculty is saying about guns and events like Sandy Hook.  So far there has not been any indication that anyone in the school is trying to anything beyond trying to teach a little gun safety to the kids.  I.E. what do you do when you find a gun, etc.
  20.     Create a system where you can go to a .gov website and enter the buyer's information which will return just a YES or NO and a transaction number.  That way a buyer and seller can conduct a Face to Face transaction without the need for an FFL.   The .gov website would be allowed to collect no more than Age/Sex/State after the transaction is complete.   This background check would OPTIONAL but the seller and buyer must take on some responsibility.   If the buyer or seller is committing a crime in this transaction they could be held liable, i.e. selling a gun to a felon or mentally defective person.  If they use the website and retain the transaction number then they are in the clear because the YES/NO is on the .gov site not the individual.  This would mostly be used in stranger to stranger transactions.   Since it is an optional system you would be free to transfer guns between friends and family members that you know well without using the system.    This system would not replace what is currently covered under a back ground check like buying from an FFL or buying online.  Those transactions would remain the same.   There should be a basic and premium service.  The basic service is a website with a YES/NO and transaction number.  The premium service would include the basic plus retention of your transaction numbers and iphone/ipad/android apps and some other features.        Most importantly there has to be provisions to make sure the data base is accurate and includes a process to appeal denials.   Make sure that mental health, criminal records, etc are included in the database.
  21.   I can't say this has ever been a problem for me.  I only wish I had enough extra cash to buy 2 or more guns per week.  :)
  22.   Maybe it's a good sign that it lasted 3-4 hours before selling out.   Maybe next time it will be 4-6 and then 6-8 and 8-12 and so fourth.
  23. I really wish that Uncle Ted would replace Wayne LaPierre as the NRA spokesman.   Uncle Ted conveys the thoughts of everyone I know much better than LaPierre.  LaPierre comes off as just another guy who's being paid to lobby for the NRA who reads from prepared statements where Uncle Ted is speaking from the heart and is able to adapt to his critics very well on the fly.
  24.   Yea,   It's cheaper than an hour of a lawyer's time that the OP is going to need.
