  1.   Yes, I've got a MEC  that''s on loan from a friend who moved to a communist state for his job.   When ever he moves back I'll just buy a loader then.  I'm mot as worried about cost as I am doing this to find loads my wife and I both.  I work in IT sometimes 50-70 or more hours per week.  I'm constantly multitasking and some times need to just unplug.   Reloading is one of those few things I get to do where it's quite and no one bothers me while I'm reloading.  So even if it costs the same or a little more I don't care.
  2. Every gun show and shop we go to she looks for an A400 Xplor. Ill probably have to get her one before I get my next Beretta O/U.
  3. I've finally got all of the components needed to reload 12Ga.   The problem is that I have a mix match of hulls from different manufacturers and I don't have load data that matches with most of the hulls that I have.    Everything I am reloading is 2 3/4 for shooting clays.  I am trying to reproduce something that's a little stronger than a Winchester Feather Light for my wife to use.   She loves those shells because they have such a low recoil but they are just light enough that they don't always reliably cycle her Benelli.   So I wanted to work up a load that's just strong enough to reliably cycle her gun.   My question is just how important is matching up Brand X hull to the load data in my reloading manual?  If I am sticking with plastic shell loads and using plastic shells do I need to be worried about the brand of hulls in my load data?
  4.     I work in the telecom business and I can say this is very true for now.   The services that REQUIRE 50/100/500/1000mb services are not here yet and won't' be here anytime soon.
  5.     Problem is that EPB has run all of the local ISPs out of business in their effort to crush Comcast.   Now that they have run the last Locally Owned and Operated residential ISP out of business they have set their sights on the Locally Owned and Operated mom and pop IT shops and local shops who sell and service phone systems and PBXs.    I have heard that they will soon attack companies who sell Alarms and monitoring.       Unless EPB is going after your job you are going to think that spending 100s of millions of our tax dollars for a super fast internet speed you can't even use yet isn't that bad.
  6. Not sure if they are supposed to be wives. If they are thin of how many of them would be ex-wives. Besides one wife is expensive think how expensive 72 are.
  7. If you work for me this is on the list of required movies to watch. If you don't watch the list you won't get the jokes and nicknames I give people.
  8. You would think that the idea of 72 virgins sounds like a great deal.  After the first month or two of fun you would quickly descend into hell.  Think about it....  All the bickering amongst them selves, the nagging and jealousy and to think that you could have 18 of them with their special visitor and the mood that goes with that.  There would be no escape because you're already dead so you can't kill your self....
  9.   Check out ultimatereloader.com.
  10. I don't need anything from Dick's.
  11. I think we are getting closer to normal. Sportsman's Warehouse has plenty of AR type guns and a wall full of pistols. Ammo is easily found on the shelves and 10 plus round magazines are plentiful. It's pretty easy to find most pistol bullets and most reloading supplies. What's still missing? I still have not seen bricks of 22lr or really any 22LR in the store. Power and primers are still in short supply as well. I thin we are defiantly on the road to normalcy but we probably still have a few months to go.
  12. On of my wife's Doctors asks her all the time if she has bough any guns.    We're cool with that because he used to hunt and fish with my father in law when they were younger.   He is VERY pro gun so no worries there.
  13. This is one of those things that irritates the hell out of me.  IF (please note the if here) you are one of the old farts that starts a war with the 18 year old behind the counter because they didn't ring up your senior coffee correctly please realize that there are people behind you who have to get to work on time.  At least 2-3 times a week there is some jerk who didn't get their senior discount that has to hold up the line because they didn't ask for it to begin with.  Remember many of us in line behind you have to get to work on time.     Again my side rant is only directed to those who believe that senior discounts are automatic and then hold up the line just on the principal.   It's not directed at anyone who takes advantage of it without disrupting others commute to work.
  14. Seems easy enough to avoid this. Don't commit crimes if you don't want to get deported,
  15. For now an 870. If I can ever find one at a reasonable price it will be replaced with a KSG.
  16. "If in the middle of that shooting a wife has to pickup and use that firearm with no training, it's even more likely to go bang for her." Unfortunately this also true when a child finds a glock in a careless adults night stand . Don't take this as an anti-glock post as I own a quite a few.
  17. Throwing some more suggestions out there. My "summer guns" are a Beretta Nano, and Sig p290.
  18. Seems like I remember at one time you could not carry where booze was sold even if it wasn't served. Do I remember that correctly?
  19. I'm headed to Florida in a couple of weeks.  I was looking over the where you can and can't carry list of places.   I came across "Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption* and wondered if anyone can confirm how i am reading this.  I am reading this as going to some place like Outback and I can't carry in the bar area but I can sit in the general seating area.  Can anyone confirm this?
  20.   +1.  I only shoot what I've loaded or what I might consider my mentor's loads.   Beyond that I would not shoot anyone loads.  I also would not load for anyone else because I still do not consider my self anywhere near an expert and would not want to had someone else my mistake.
  21. Every time I've encountered State or Local LEO with my HCP 95% of them look at me as if they don't have the first clue as to why I handed them 2 IDs.  I think I've been asked once or twice where the gun is.  Once by an Alabama State Trooper and once by a Chattanooga PD officer.  FYI I've been pulled over once in maybe 15 years the rest of the times I was either reporting something or giving a statement to something I saw happen.
  22. Oops..  I've always known I couldn't carry in the Post Office but never knew I could not leave it locked in the car.  Then again I think I've been to the Post Office 2 times in the last 5 years.
  23. I hate it when details are left out.  He failed to mention that he had surrendered his TN DL when he got his Delaware DL.  That made his CCW invalid because TN does not have a Non Resident CCW.
  24. I doubt they could get a warrant when no crime was committed.
  25.   If more people were punished for carelessly leaving guns laying around more people would probably think again about not securing their guns.
