Man! That is cheap for that scope, and yet I don't have the $ to take advantage of it at this time.

Glad got to run it out and ended up with good results! I sent a couple hundred rounds through both of my new ones today. They only hiccup I had was with the RF bolt, I thought something was wrong with it at first, but pulled it out and it seemed dry. Put some oil on it and ran like it should. I may have wiped it down too much in the final check when i got to the range.

Thank you! Took it to the range for the first time since I painted it today. Several people come up and really complemented me on the paint job! It was nice to hear that. They couldn't believe it was the only one I'd done. One said, "I've done several and none of them came out like that!" Lol I told him not to count on me being able to reproduce the same results, it may have been a fluke :lol:

yeah, that should get it usable again anyway. I've got two uppers, just have to get the rest and I'll be done for a while. Probably be after deer season before I have them done though. I want to do a pistol as well, I almost grabbed one of the Sig braces just for it, but other items took the money instead. Pick your poison right? Little by little.

I haven't shot mine yet. Luke and I were at the range a week or so ago and I was shooting one of mine. He said, "Here, shoot mine." I couldn't believe the difference it made! I assumed it was a $100-150 brake. That sucks about the RF sight, but maybe you can rig up something even if just for a set of spares.   I REALLY like those DH buis!!!

LukeE told me about it, and I picked it up off Amazon from Global Sportsman. I believe it was $33 shipped with crush washer included. I shot his and it works really well, especially for the price.   ***Edited for company name error, it's correct now.

I particularly love the picture at the top of the page of that "Ohhh so happy family!". They won't be that &$#*! happy when Dad can't get the combo right and the thugs with no safety combo to remember bust through the door, rape the wife in front of the rest of the family and shoot the Dad, leaving the kids in the house with that safe gun still safely locked.

Especially the CMT lower huh? :up:  Thank you ST! I have the matching CMT upper that I have to get a barrel and gas block for and then they will be mated together. They sit so sweet against eachother, I can't wait....but my wallet is too empty right now unfortunately.

For the price, I may pick up a set of the RF sights too just for spares. I've never had Diamondhead sights but I like the way the look.

No, they are the Magpul polymer sights. I'm really surprised at how tight and responsive the springs are. Very happy with the quality of them. Now I know why they are so popular outside of the obvious reason, being affordable.
