    =)

    Nice! Congrats
  2. Speaking of ridiculous California laws: I was in San Diego last week for my brother's retirement from the Navy. I saw something on the news about no more plastic grocery bags. I was like WTH? My brother said that a law was being put before the governor (with huge support) to ban plastic bags and then charge for paper. SMH! Tree huggers didn't want trees being used for paper bags and loved plastic since it's recyclable, now the plastic might harm <insert crybaby reason of your choice>. I don't know about you, but we reuse plastic bags over and over in my house, and at work. They keep the meat separate from other food items, wet cartons from dry, etc. Also the reusable bags you can purchase need to be washed out and you won't always know how many you'll need each trip, so not the perfect solution either. And imagine carrying a weeks worth of groceries in paper bags in the way you can with plastic. Well, most of us remember doing it when that's all we had.  But typical Cali-uncommon-sense.
  3. I vote both, it's what I do.
  4. Sorry to hear that! Hope you get it back
  5. That actually made me smile a little. I'm sure the others in that group will end up the same way, just hope it's before they take others lives first.
  6. Very nice, and great picture by the way
  7. +100 Actually I'm going to take this back simply because I didn't realize exactly what you were talking about. I skimmed through the noted choices and thought you meant SR9c. ( I still love Rugers though LOL)
  8. Prayers for his family and friends, love the way he ran his business. Rest in peace.
  9. Awesome!
  10. I cannot deny any of the above statement ha ha. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was when I saw the shiny rock :) And yes, I almost have a heart attack when I see a deer    When I have my own property I can't wait to start my own food plot! I know that had to be exciting for you to see the dirt showing where food used to be Slappy. Even if you don't kill a deer off the food plot that year, you still know you're helping the herd.   Can't wait to see your report on the stands. I'm about due for a new climber, had mine for about 10 years now. It still works, that's the only reason I haven't upgraded. Probably hang on to it for a backup and for when my brother comes to visit.
  11. Went out this morning around 11 to check my mineral block (Trophy Rock). I was VERY pleased to see it licked as smooth as a shiny river rock  . It was actually still wet so I may have interrupted them on my way in. I laid it on top of undisturbed ground, didn't move leaves or anything, just so I could tell if it was getting traffic. Well, there are hardly any leaves around it, they have been hitting it hard. I felt my heart start thumping as soon as I saw it! I climbed up in the stand and just sat there for about half an hour just enjoying the sounds and smells. It also gave me a slight preview of what we'll all be doing very, very soon. I climbed on down and headed back home with the windows down while thanking God for everything we have and asking for a safe season for us all.
  12. 3 weeks away! Just got back from San Diego and everything went great. Wish that weather was here right now! I'm so stoked about opening day, I can't stand it
  13. I was guessing 60-65lbs by the time he's a year old at least, so you're not far off from what I guessed. Of course it's always just that, a guess. A buddy of mine got a pit/mastiff mix so we thought the mastiff part was hilarious (because it was his and he didn't want a big dog LOL). His vet told him how bid mastiff's were capable of being and he about flipped. I told him he was fixin to lose that weight he'd been wanting to lose cause Rocky was gonna be eatin half his dinner  . I went to see him yesterday and he was twice as big as Roman about 3 months ago, but now Roman is quite a bit taller and Rocky is just getting WIDE!. Needless to say, my friend is glad he's stayin on the smaller side!
  14. Batman, I can absolutely verify that it was flame-bursting capable! Good grief it was roasting! I left there and went to get a haircut. By the time I left the monsoon was hitting Smyrna. Dang if an hour didn't change what seemed like 30 degrees
  15. Checked around where I put my mineral block today and saw the usual deer traffic signs I do every year. I really wanted to walk around more and look for rubs and scrapes, but wanted to keep from disturbing the area as much as possible. It's grown up quite a bit but it always is. I don't mind it at all because it hides me better up in among the leaves, and I still have several clear shooting lanes. Y'all, it's right around the corner!
  16. I never have but a friend of mine did last year because he'd had shoulder surgery. Laid him one down at end of season. I'd never imagined hunting with it before but glad he was able to put meat in the freezer with it.
  17. Lmao! Y'all should print his selfie on the coffee mug and hang it in a box with little bars on it like a jail cell
  18. I had to pick something laughable out of this crap going on...so here it is.   I would wager that upper 90% of the people down there voted for obama twice. Everyone knows how he stands on guns whether they want to admit it or cover it up. If guns are not allowed for the citizens, that leaves one option for safety <dramatic pause> Cops! And they hate them! LMAO! I feel like I'm reading a comedy that has nothing funny in it. Willing to support someone who wants to take away something black people were not allowed at one time, just because he's the same color as them (well half of him anyway). Unbelievable.
  19. Both of those are funny!! Gonna watch the 1911 one now.    The "guy" who keeps getting his finger caught in the slide and screams had me rollin!!!
  20. I would expect a little better accuracy than that for the price. Like you said, maybe you didn't have a good day though. Give it another shot and see if it turns out different.
  21. LEO have been in and out of seats millions of times not counting rolling around on the ground and falling on them. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Inspect after a bad fall maybe, but worry about it? Nahh.
  22. Yep, reassured our doubt as to why they love him huh? Last thing he did was help, but I don't think it was on accident
