  3. Welcome to TGO!
  4. My brother and I used to love sitting in Dad's shop when his friends were over and they'd be listening to Jerry.   "I just wanna make sure, he knows I'M a BULL!"
  5. Have you shot it at all, to see what the before and after accuracy change was?
  6. That's what I want to go with but for the past year or so I've had this illness that's prevented me from getting one. Maybe you've heard of it, black rifle disease? Yep, I've got it lol
  7. Looks good! Can't wait to upgrade my stock on my SPS. 308
  8. I'm also late to the thread, but keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
  9. Than you!
  10. Wow! Unreal  :stunned:
  11.   Thanks! Yeah, I'm no sniper so I'm sure it will be fine for me and it'll probably be an extra truck gun and will get used like the rest of them. I have a free float handguard in the safe but I think I'm just going to leave this one the way it is. Plain and simple. I'm going to clean it up and lube it tomorrow and have it ready for a range trip soon. Maybe this weekend or at least the next.
  12. Slowly but surely got a couple more done. 1st one, some of you may have seen in the Christmas thread because I built it for my wife. Took it out to the range Saturday and tested it out. Now gotta figure out what scope she's going to want. I reckon I'll pick out one I like and if she don't like it, I'll just HAVE to put it on one my others that need a scope  It's an Anderson lower, PSA parts kit, Magpul Mbus flip ups, MOE grip, trigger guard, and stock, Radical Firearms carbine upper with a YHM Phantom FH. She's pretty happy with it, so that makes me happy. Now for the bad part, I have a task ahead of me. She wants me to do a FDE and pink camo break up design on it. I'm gonna practice some designs on some scrap before I do it on her rifle. She is dead set on this pattern so I'll do it. After all, it is hers and I don't wanna tell her "Don't do that, do this, etc." 2nd is another one for me (unless she says she wants it). Spikes Punisher lower with PSA parts kit, MOE stock and grip, and MBUS rear flip up sight. This is the first time I've tried a PTAC upper. It's the mid-length gas system, all of my others are carbine gas length so can't wait to see the difference. I'm actually impressed with it as far as quality to the eye is concerned. I had myself all pumped up to be disappointed because of their reputation by some. I'll give it a try and since I have several others, if I'm not impressed then I'll just shoot it till it needs a new barrel. This one will be painted in some camo form soon. I'll post it up in my camo paint job thread. I've got two more lowers completed and waiting for uppers not counting the pistol lower that's done as well. I really wanna finish the pistol next, but we'll see how bad she wants a scope.
  13. "Peekaboo!" says Roman! Hadn't posted a recent picture lately so here is MY BIG FELLA! I love this dog sooooooo much!
  14. Don't know if this link has been posted but it's a great read on Chris's favorite weapons.   http://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/01/17/american-sniper-chris-kyle-rifles/
  15. Ditto what hipower said and also if you want to ship him an extra big package let me know and I'll gladly contribute to the pile  :usa:
  16. Welcome to TGO!
  17. My Dad always told me growing up "Son, choose wisely the hill you decide to take your stand on"....parking would not have been one of those hills for me.
  18. I've never been involved a war as I'm not military, but damn if that movie wasn't hard to watch. My heart went from beating fast to hurting and back again. God bless our troops and their families and RIP Chris Kyle!
  19. Damn, that looks awesome! !
  20. FINALLY going to see this tomorrow! Can't wait!
  21. Ain't that the truth. And I have a lot of "friends" that have went through all of these steps multiple times!   I'd love to have a gooseneck trailer but I don't go to mud bogs or trail rides like I did for the last 10 years. It wouldn't get used enough to justify it.
  22.   Luckily my trailer tongue is long enough that it clears all the way to the jack if I'm cornering. My bumper is high enough and the drop hitch drops the tongue below it farther. It makes it harder for me to do what you did....which would make me sick by the way. As stout as that tongue is, it would probably do more to my truck than the tongue!      Thank you Mark. I think it may be! I'm even glad they work for daytime use now.   Had a friend have that happen did ya?
  23.   I'm not sure what the initial intent was for this one. Probably just a general purpose, use what I have laying around to move some stuff project. Sometimes I wish it was 5 ft wide, but for the most part it does what I need. And I love seeing the change from a lil money and elbow grease. I agree, the bolts will be there long after I'm done with the trailer lol It might be overkill to some people but the standard bolts that came with the D-ring kit were way too soft. I actually snapped one of them in half. I said "The hell with that!"  But, I'm actually glad it happened because it could have failed while I had something strapped down on the trailer and been a lot worse than in the driveway.   Thank you so much GT!!
  24. I know that feeling!
