Sorry guys, work has had me slammed! There is a crack in the plastic tank that started out as a pinhole and wasn't that big of a deal....till it got worse of course. I talked to Napa via phone in Lavergne and they keep them in stock. I'm going to check one out, after I measure to see if mine is the heavy duty one or not. He said that it does not use the adapter/reducers that I was definitely staying away from. I'd pondered getting the tank replaced at a shop, but then I worry about the 20 year old other half and how long it will be before it has a crack pop up. I'm also going to call the repair shops that y'all have mentioned (thanks by the way) and see what they say as well. I'll let y'all know what I end up getting done to fix it, I really appreciate the help. I miss brass and copper radiators.....old square body Chevy heaven.

Looks good! How do you like the rail covers? I bought an el cheapo quad rail a few years ago that came with them, but they were too bulky for my hands, I just didn't like them. I don't have monster hands though, so maybe that's why.

Well, I've got to replace the radiator in my truck, it's a 1995 K1500 Chevy 4x4. I can find radiator's easy enough, but my question is: Are there any companies left that make replacements that are direct fit? And I don't mean "direct fit" like all of them say but don't tell you that you have to use reducers/adapters for trans cooler lines. That is not direct fit and pisses me off that they use the words in the description. I want everything to flow like it is supposed to, not be slowed down to go through adapters. Am I out of luck, is it luck of the draw and you take whatever shows up when you order it?

I can tell how much I miss deer season, every time I scroll past this thread on my phone I swear the title says "Bow Season is coming!" :rant: Doubt I'd have much success with a bow against carpenter bees though so just have to suck it up and wait till Fall! ha ha

I went outside after you posted this, I'd forgotten about it. Didn't see anything, is it supposed to be noticeable all night? I also have probably too many lights in my neighborhood for it to be the perfect spotting position, but the sky is clear so I may check again in a little while. Oh, and thanks for the reminder!

Pretty close to me as well. Also in the past two days, I have came home via two different routes and noticed two houses with about 6 or 7 cop cars in front of them. Luckily we haven't seen too much of this kind of thing over here. There are a few guys beside and across from me who are gun owners and like minded. We watch each others houses and check on each other even if it's just a car out front that we don't recognize. As far as the other neighbors, couple of punks, and some that I have no idea about. I carry 100% of the time at home, just for these reasons. I actually was in the garage one day a couple years ago, which would be a long way from the bedroom which is where some leave their "in case of" weapon. Had a group of punks stop in front of the house and start screaming some nonsense until I came running around the corner. My daughter and nephew were playing in sight of me from the garage door and I was on "kick ass first, take names later" mode when I got to the curb. They disappeared like lightening. Just a few seconds later, two of my neighbors mentioned above were right beside me asking what happened. I didn't really know, but my adrenaline didn't slow down for an hour. Ended up nothing, but what if it hadn't?

  I was contemplating painting mine too, didn't figure it would help much but the solid, shiny black is just hideous. I was thinking OD like you did, or maybe FDE or a mixture of all and not even care if it's a pattern. It'll never be pretty, ever.

Doubt any of us on here are surprised, we've pretty much come to expect no less from him. If there's one thing he is good at, it's pretending to be something he's not, he went into the right career for sure.

Well I think it's a loss if only one Walmart stops selling anything because of pressure, much less all of them. We are fortunate around here to have several good LGS but every city and town doesn't have that luxury. Walmart, through all the "Hide the AR's" fiasco, had the rep of only worrying about money not being PC. If someone pushed them into this, it's not good. I would definitely rather spend my money at a LGS but sometimes we may not always be able to afford it. Still curious if this is a rumor or truth though?

Since y'all brought up cost of renewal, it made me think. I didn't really pay much attention when he said it but as I read this I remembered him saying "That'll be $37.50 please". I didn't even think about the "$50" it had been before. So I pulled up my bank account just now to make sure I was remembering his statement correct and yes, that's what he charged me???

FYI, got out of there in lil over 2 hours. Same as used to be, fill out app, show HCP, and pay money.
