  1. Welcome back! I don't know how you did it, I gotta have my TGO time! I'd just assume give somebody half my biscuits and gravy before giving up TGO.....and I really LOVE biscuits and gravy!
  2. Same sub paragraph as "Must drive 25 mph the entire length of on ramp, then merge before speeding up to exceed speed limit for the remainder of your time on interstate".
  3. Nope, good job!
  4. Congratulations! Lol
  5. I talked to the guys at Vortex today at the NRA show, great guys and very helpful. I think I may go with the Sparc 2, but they have new smaller ones Viper and Venom that I really liked too.
  6. Here's pictures from my second trip! Wow, what a day! Kinion from Southern Boyz Outdoors in Louisiana was at the Vanguard booth. Great guy, got to talk to him for a while. Bruce from Swamp People, he was really down to earth and chatted with me for a while. This man needs no introduction, but one of the highlights of my whole experience at the show. Very nice and signed a book to my Dad and myself. Dad is a HUGE fan and has been for a long time. Sweet CORE rifle! And Wayne LaPierre! He was standing there talking to the president of Browning as I walked up. Stood there for about 5 minutes just waiting for a chance to say hi. He was very gracious, thanked us for coming out and showing support, and was happy to take pictures with us. These safes were pretty sweet, well lit and rotating access. CHOOT EM! CHOOT EM! Lord have mercy, Theresa Vail! Was watching her do an interview and waited for about 10 minutes while she talked to one of the vendors. She was very nice, but unfortunately for my friends, was in a rush to leave after I got my picture and talked to her for a minute. Absolutely great time today! I will be going to Louisville next year to do it again. Glad we went back, it wasn't quite so overwhelming knowing we'd seen most of it. Got to talk to PSA and Vortex guys for a pretty good while, great people. And as y'all can see, I was repping TGO
  7. I'm heading up now. Wearing a maroon Black Rain Ordnance shirt, I will be carrying a small camo Cabela's bag overy my shoulder. Say hi if ya see me! Don't know why I didn't think about this before. I put a TGO sticker (bullet hole design) in the opposition side of my pass carrier. I will turn it around to show the TGO sticker once I'm in.
  8. I read this post too fast and clicked like, but then saw the part about the gun buster! I guess I was so happy to hear someone was flying that flag. I'm sure they had business regardless, but I hope the missed out on a lot because of that gun buster sign. I'd just assume them not halfass support it.
  9. I've had this Matrix Aerospace lower built for months, and actually built several rifles while saying "Gonna finish the pistol next" every time I finished another rifle. LukeE got a kick out of me telling him that several times :) I bought the buffer tube off a guy at work, so can't remember the name of it, but it's nice enough. Upper is 10.5" PSA upper, Radical Firearms BCG and BCM Mod4 CH. Grip is Magpul K2. I picked it because several people on here and other forums said they liked them on pistol setups. I'll figure out if it will stay after I shoot it a few times. Still needs a rear sight and I'm gonna figure out what kind of red dot to run. I imagine smaller the better. Any of y'all just run irons on the pistols? I assume without being able to brace it (if I had a Sig Brace when you could shoulder them) irons may be harder to shoot with on pistol setup. But I think someone said we are still okay legally speaking to shoulder the buffer tube as of now, that correct? To me it seems almost as short in my hands as I figured the 7.5" would have seemed. I really like it and can't wait to shoot it for the first time.
  10. There is a store in the middle of show area on very back row selling accessories, picked up some Gen 2 Pmags for 11 bucks no tax.
  11. 12) Parking at LP Field was $10, shuttle took us right to front door and took us back. Much easier than driving around looking for $20 or more parking lots.
  12. LOL Same here! And then a couple more times after the time I should have learned my lesson!
  13. ^^^This! $3 for a regular Dasani. I got one along with a cup of Maggie Moo ice cream and it was Nine bucks
  14. I wasn't going to go inside anywhere that was posted, period. So I planned for that. But I carried all day since I only went to LP Field, on the shuttle, then to the convention center. I will say that unless a lot of people were pocket carrying or EXTREMELY good at concealing, I rarely seen any. I'm glad I didn't see anyone carrying an ar pistol just to get attention though. I am just surprised at how few I saw, and I like a lot of you, look all the time and can generally find them even if concealed.  But anyone planning on going to other places, the businesses care more about making their liberal customers "feel safe" than welcoming a citizen who obeys the state law to spend their money in their establishment. FYI
  15. Here's a few pictures I snapped today. We got to chat with Chris Barrett for a pretty good while, we all enjoyed that. Got to meet Jim from Shooting USA as soon as we got there! Nice feller!! I looked up about half an hour later and walking towards me about 15 feet and closing was James Yeager! I put up my hand and hollered "James!" (Almost like it was an old friend HA HA) He was cracking us up and called us crazy f**kers for switching back and forth with the cameras and confusing him with which camera to look at  Really enjoyed talking to him. As soon as he said bye and turned around another group saw us talking to him and stopped him as well. James said "Hey, y'all going to the party tonight?" "What party?" (we responded the same when he asked us) James "Alright f***kers, there's this thing called the i n t e r n e t USE IT!" LMAO Everyone within ears reach was laughing. Black Rain Ordnance booth was awesome, had a Green Beret there signing autographs, and the girl was really helpful and VERY easy on the eyes....for you single fellas :) Jerry was there of course And as previously mentioned, this Magpul bus is SWEET! I didn't think I'd get lucky enough to catch Colion Noir, but turned around and there he was. I told him I was happy to have caught him, he said "I'm happy I wasn't late, I almost was!" Great guy and pleasure to talk to, but I probably should have tried to stop laughing before the picture snapped haha The CZ-USA booth caught my eye right out of nowhere for some reason :) Awesome Turnbull workmanship, nice feller too! My friend with Gunny! This was outside and was BADA$$!! And my barely caught glimpse of Donald Trump. Right side of photo (look for the hair  ) above the Trooper's hat. Larry Weishuhn was there and nice as can be as well.
  16. I had an absolute blast today. We are wore out from all the walking but so worth it! I was standing outside by the band stage and I turn around and walking right toward me was Donald Trump lmao! Caught me off guard, just don't turn around to that sight everyday.
  17. Agreed. That's like saying g "Welcome iPhone Convention Attendees" with sign beside it saying "No cell phones allowed"
  18. Congratulations! !
  19. RIP ol feller, really enjoyed your entertainment and will continue to do my terrible impersonation of you till I die "Guu Guu Guu I love it! I love it! Come on Flash, let's get them Duke boys!"   Those little noises he made when he gets excited crack me up to this day "HOT PURSUIT!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPCOR1c5rzM   Bloopers (language warning) :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHFt7HS_S1M
  20. I'm downloading it as I type. Hopefully it'll help us out while trying to get around at the show. I'm so excited about going!
  21. Yep, for a minute I was .ad at myself for not pre-registering but thought ehh I might have been one of the guys who didn't get their packet anyway lol
  22. Well, I was unsure of what my plans were for going i.e. when, with who, etc. My buddy's just called and they're off Friday and going up when it opens. Sooooooooooo guess who just took a vacation day???
