  1. I'm totally missing this one ? Did something happen that I haven't heard about?
  2. Well, I'm in the kitchen cooking up a pot of venison chili right now. Got me thinking about a few things. One, I miss talking to y'all in these threads about the current deer season, hearing the good and bad stories . Two, at least a few of our months of waiting after last season ended are over. Bow season will be here before ya know it. Three, June is next month and my mount should be done from last year's buck. All in all, I miss deer season and all that goes with it!
  3. Wow, what a tree!
  4. Wow, that looks like an AWESOME trip!! Beautiful pictures, and hilarious "kiss the fish" picture!
  5. Very nice looking rifle!
  6. I don't remember off hand how many days I left it alone to cure, but it was maybe a couple weeks? I just wanted it to cure as good as was possible without heating it since I don't have that capability. Good thing for you is that'll touch up easy and match the rest of the rifle.
  7.   I wear it in the shower like any freedom loving American, how else?   I use CLP and RemOil. I'm a bigger fan of CLP unless I run out, then I use the RemOil.  I also spray out the chamber and barrel with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. I read somewhere that people hadn't had issues with the brake cleaner messing up the paint as long as they didn't rub it while it was wet. I took a chance and tried it, figuring that if it messed it up, I'd touch it up again. So far no problems with that, but I'm careful when I do it.   Oh and great job on the paint job, looks really good! Were you nervous up till the first spray came out? HA HA
  8. Maroonandwhite, here's a couple pictures. ignore the porn pillow lmao Tried to get some contrast so the wore spots would show up. I'm truly surprised it's held up as well as it has. Two main reasons, one being that I didn't put 10 full coats on it (not sure how many I did, but they were light coats here and there), so more coats may have saved some wear. But I like the wear regardless. Point two, is that I carry this almost every day in a soft AR bag. It gets thrown in the truck at least twice a day. The only time it's not in there, is when I decide to carry a different one that day. So figuring the use at the range, and daily throwing around, I think it held up way beyond my expectations. It's getting nice outside, so about time to paint a few more rifles. Hope this helped you see what you wanted.
  9. Nice! Congratulations!
  10. Same here, it's like just because I invite my uncles over, they think that means they have to be here too.....sorry  But seriously, we have them pretty bad at our back door, spray, they go away and come right back. Hoping they ease up soon.
  11.   I had it out last night looking at it, funny you should ask today. It's holding up really well, with the few small places that show paint wearing, making it look better. I'll take some pictures of it and post them up of the entire gun and the wear spots just so you can see how it looks.
  12. Not too many happy people on that thread, can't say as I blame them either. I don't own one, but right now I'm glad. Seems a few guys had ideas for using other replacement parts, but I would not be happy about that as an only option. Hope they are not going to have as many problems as they expect.
  13. http://www.ijreview.com/2015/04/307848-video-baltimore-rioters-viciously-attack-helpless-woman-in-wheelchair/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_content=conservativedaily&utm_campaign=Crime The word protest belongs nowhere around these worthless beings. Glad there are people who think it's a good thing the bloods and crips getting together and holding hands. Those people need not call for help when they're on the end of the needless beatings of people who have nothing to do with anything. They're burning and robbing places, just like in Ferguson, and will go back to whining with their hands out as soon as it's over. Makes me sick to see the cops have to deal with this when there are plenty of things they should be doing instead.
  14. Not many details other than security concerns.   http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/04/24/statue-liberty-evacuated-over-security-concern/
  15. Holy freakin' crap! That thing is awesome!! I don't usually get all giddy over 1911's because I don't own one, but that is so tough looking!   And now that I'm done drooling, congratulations
  16. Very nice! Congrats

    Congratulations! !
  18. Speaking of coyotes, everyone I know ow that's turkey hunted this year has killed at least one yote. I'm not a turkey hunter but might go out in hopes of a coyote kill...which will probably end with me only seeing turkey lmao
  19. The one you posted didn't work for me, so maybe that's why? Maybe just a glitch in how it linked.   LOL ^^^^ Yep, same here.
  20. Sweet! Can't beat that!
  21. This is what Roman does when my wife is acting up or doesn't give him a treat. As soon as I walk in, he jumps in my lap and tells on her! "Dad, seriously, it's about time you got home from work. She is NOT behaving!" Love this big feller!!
  22. She sure is pretty!
  23. I love them too, just not enough money to build as fast as I want haha
  24. I have been debating putting the Magpul handguard on mine also. That looks good!
