  1. I'm chomping at the bit to be out there in the morning! I want to hunt my stand but with the rain being so finicky, I may just hop in my blind so I don't have to worry about spooking any deer if it starts pouring and I have to come down.
  2. I hope y'all already have one but in case you don't or want to get one for someone you know. I found these while searching for a HSS in youth size for my daughter and nephew.   http://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Safety-System-Bowhunter-Harness/dp/B00M1T84LA/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0NMK4NBWZH2GD4K9D8YT&dpID=41dUXlHMRqL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_
  3. Man! This cool air this evening (while I was at work!   ) was really getting me excited about Saturday morning!!!        Sorry to hear that Shaun!
  4. +1
  5. Very nice! Sorry for your loss.
  6. Saw some good bucks and some does on Facebook TN deer hunter page. But also saw a ton of people who didn't see anything either day. Hoping that it changes this next weekend where I hunt or I'll be headed out to hunt some public land.
  7. Well, a big zip for me this weekend! Enjoyed it but didn't see but the same yearling both days. Seen it leaving property at dark tonight. Nobody put one down?
  8. Finally saw a deer. Around 70 yards away though. Good to at least see something though!
  9. Lmao Nothing here yet either.
  10. Sorry to hear that, hope you get the opportunity soon!
  11. Half of my day of work is over. I can barely stand waiting another 4 hours, but hopefully it flies by. Filling the truck up with gas on the way home, then try to pass out. Of course I'll be trying till midnight! I am trying a new Rage broadhead this year, the chisel tip 100 grain with 2 inch cut. Hopefully be tracking that blood trail in the a.m.
  12. Everyone ready!?!? Bow, arrows, Rage broadheads, Hunter Safety System so I don't fall, license, and backpack sitting by the deer cart that my wife and daughter bought me this year. Hope to be using it tomorrow! Good luck to everyone and PLEASE wear your safety harness!!
  13. That's my go-to also unless like you said, for el cheapo items.
  14. I love that movie. I've watched several dozen times. I just can't seem to pass it up when it shows up on the TV guide. He really is a great actor and I can't wait to watch this one as well.
  15. Good deal, thanks for all of your help brother. If Murfreesboro Outdoors doesn't have one in stock for my PSE, I will buy one online and put it on my Mathews Switchback in a couple of weeks when I get it. Regardless which peep sight I'm looking through, I'm ready to see some brown hair in the sight picture!! Haha
  16. Thanks for posting the picture of the whole bow, it makes more sense now how it would line up!! Nice bow by the way and I'm pumped up for Saturday more every second that passes  I'm definitely going to check that sight out, do you remember what size yours is off hand?
  17. I just started training myself this year to shoot with both eyes open. I wish I'd started doing it when I first started bow hunting because I like it a lot better. Thanks for the info on the RAD trio, never heard of it before.
  18. That's kind of what I was worried about. I figured if it was a big problem, I wouldn't see so many people using them, but I do.
  19. Very nice buck! I hope you get a shot at him too!
  20. Haha I was thinking "90???" Very glad it was set on Houston and not here!
  21. Hey bow hunters, just curious which y'all prefer and why? I've only used peeps with tubing for alignment but have had several dry rot and and a couple break. I'm interested in the self aligning peep sights but want to know if they won't stay lined up, or other possible issues.
  22. So! I didn't get to practice with my bow today like I have been for the past couple months. I stopped by Murfreesboro Outdoors and let him look at it, since I haven't had it checked out from the time I bought it. It's a PSE Triton and was barely used, then sat up in the original owners closet for the majority of it's life. It still had the original string on it. I lucked out on draw length but not on peep sight height. It was an inch too low. I'd been wondering since it takes me a second to get "settled" before releasing. All in all, it really needed a new string so I'm getting it replaced. Great news and it will probably even shoot better. Bad news, I may not get it back until Thursday. I am however glad that I've been shooting it already this year. I will have to sight it in all over again after work Thursday and Friday but will be happy to know it's good to go and to have the peep sight in the correct position! Aside from bow issues, I got all of my hunting clothes washed up and de-scented, along with my stand camo wrap, and my backpack is packed except for snacks and water that I'll add Saturday morning. I'm sick with anticipation, but happy that this Friday night will be the night that we all can't sleep
  23. I'm watching hunting videos, hunting shows on TV, and about to be sick waiting for this week to pass. Hard to believe it's this close. I am so ready!
