  1. Did you tighten the screws inside the unit before you put the locking screws in?
  2. I've only had one fast vehicle and it was a 1970 Chevy pickup with a 400 4 bolt main. My uncle bought it from a friend of his, then sold it to me. His friend built race car motors and was known in SE MO for his talent with GM motors especially the 400. It scared my uncle a little for me to have it since I was only 19 and he remembered how stupid he would have been with that much power in a truck that young. I never wrecked it but I never left a stopped position in a calm manner either lol. I'll try and find an old picture and scan it. It was not a beautiful truck, rather plain looking which added to the surprise. The guy who built it also had an exact duplicate of it in his garage that was showroom quality with even more horsepower. It would make a grown man cry when he started it up and you could eat off of any part of the truck it was so clean. Man I miss that truck!
  3. Someone on here posted the other day that they will price match. I didn't know that. But I've looked at their sales ads as well as regular prices and they always seem really high. Also with online sales as popular as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. I don't mind spending a little more in a small local owned store but I'd never be able to afford anything if Gander was my only option. Although I hate to see any company go out of business.
  4. My first EDC. Yep they're tanks but I never had any malfunctions with mine. It would eat anything and I still wish I'd kept it. It would have been a great truck gun!!
  5. Nice SBR!
  6. .380 if I had to have a very small weapon for pocket or ankle carry. Otherwise 9mm would be it.
  7. Saw that earlier. Immediately surprised with the reaction they got?! Haha They feared for the life but the cops in the station shouldn't. Idiots is an understatement.
  8. Well having added to my cart on my phone before checking with the wife paid off. By the time I'd opened the site on my laptop they were gone but my phone was still holding it. Rifle shipped today!
  9. I was just coming to post this. I started the process on my phone, then went to computer and signed into Brownells. It showed them out of stock! I was still signed in with the rifle in the middle of payment process so I went back and it let me finish the purchase on my phone. So I really don't know yet if I actually got one or if I'll get the dreaded "Ooops Email".
  10. Welcome to TGO!
  11. Submitted May 13, received my stamp February 4. SilencerCo Omega. Man I am so happy right now!
  12. Nope didn't know. I've actually never shopped there. Thanks for the heads up just in case.
  13. Man that's ridiculous! I was hoping it was only this one, which is why I didn't go at all. I generally always enjoy the Murfreesboro show but figured with the Lebanon show being this weekend that it would be better to skip. As said above you'd think they would talk about this, they're only hurting their own business this way.
  14. I took my SBR to All Things Engraved in Cool Springs. They use a sandblasted for what I needed. I believe they said they could do traditional engraving as well. I chose the sandblast technique because he recommended it and said it was cleaner for the small letters. Turned out great and I'm happy with the work. Nice folks too.
  15. Lol I was waiting for one of them to find the switch to cut the power after they'd gotten shocked fifty times
  16. Looks good!
  17. Very nice. I've got an 80% lower that's been in my safe for years. Maybe one of these days I'll pick up a jig and finish it.
  18. Anderson's when in stock shouldn't be close to $100 but they typically move fast. As far as Spikes, Aero, etc I expect to see them at $89 or $99 before tax and bg check. I guess more what I was meaning stemmed from stories of $45 or $55 transfer fees. I want to say that the most I've paid locally was $25? At that price you'd still do good for a $39 Anderson lower.
  19. That's a pretty dang good perk! I'd be broke every paycheck......like I am now lol
  20. Great ad price. Whether or not it's a great deal out the door depends on transfer cost at your FFL. Main reason I buy mine local is because of what the transfer cost may add and also I can walk out with my lower that day even if for a couple more dollars to help support the local shop. On the flip side, if you were buying ten, would probably be a great cost savings.
  21. They're sold out
