  1. I didn't either but it made me do some reading when he told me what he had. Agreed. I'm really glad he said something to me about it. Funny part of the story is he was calling to ask me how to get on TGO. I told him and said "Let me know if you need help navigating the site". He said "Oh I've got a couple guns I'm gonna sell". I said "The site is down for construction, don't know when it will be fixed, whatcha got for sale?!" He started laughing because he knew I was joking and asked if I was interested. He's actually happier since he knows the guns will stay in the family now.
  2. That's exactly what will happen to it, along with my others. My daughter's going to have a bigger safe than her husband Thank you, it has very little use that's for sure!
  3. @Wingshooter Can you see them now?
  4. Thanks! Also, thanks for letting me know about the pictures. I'll try another way, every since photobucket pulled their stunt, I'm lost. I'm gonna try to upload them.
  5. My father-in-law passed on a deal to me that I couldn't pass up. I picked up a Ruger 10/22 from him with the original stock as well as the Butler Creek folding stock he'd bought but didn't care for. The jewel of the deal is a Ruger 96/22 in .22 mag! I am beside myself with this new addition. It's beautiful and my first .22 magnum of any kind. I know they were only made for several years and that is cool in itself. But it's really going to fit in with my Marlin 336 and Savage 99e nicely. I told my Dad about it and I think he may have been as excited as I was. He told one of his long time friends about it that night. They guy said "Hang on a second." and proceeded to pull out of his safe the exact same rifle. My Dad's jaw dropped and of course asked what he wanted for it. His friend said "Oh, I'll never sell it. I just keep it in the safe." haha It killed Dad to hear that. Anyway, he's coming in to visit next week and he can't wait to see it. I hope we have time to get out and shoot it together. Anyone else on here have one?
  6. I picked up a pair of snake boots for the first time this year. Man these boots are comfortable and fit true to your shoe size. Start shopping for them and you'll see that's not real common. I'd ordered the Irish Setter VeprTrek and returned them after I found these for less than half price. I wear a 10.5 and the Irish Setter boot I wore a 12! Thought I'd post them for anyone who may be shopping. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/magellan-outdoors-mens-landman-snake-hunting-boots
  7. Be nice if the outside dimension was the same as the Aero Precision bar barrel nut.
  8. Nice shooting! I'm excited as well and will be practicing a lot this weekend. I have an old Mathews Switchback and I love it!
  9. So THATS why she went to Barrett!
  10. I placed trex board (used for decking) under mine. Lined them up after trimming and predrilled before I put my bolts in.
  11. It's all I've ever used. I hated the pop ups as well but since I'm not to technically savvy I used them since I had an account. Guess I'll be following this thread to see what everyone else goes with. I agree with all the comments saying they committed suicide. I'm not sure how that meeting went when they decided to go this direction.
  12. I've installed quite a few SD3G triggers in buddies rifles. They are very nice!
  13. I put together another AR a couple weeks ago. This is my first build using the Aero Precision enhanced upper. I wasn't sure what to think about the enhanced upper when I first started seeing them online. Thought it was some fad and not useful. I really do like it and the way the picatinny slots on the upper receiver continue seamlessly without the big lug between it and the rail. Not that I'll mount anything in that location but I like the clean look. Aero Precision lower, Troy BUIS, Geissele super gas block, Anderson 16" barrel, ALG QMS trigger, Magpul MOE stock and MOE+Grip, BCM Large charging handle (not pictured) and standard A2 flash hider until I get a Surefire comp for it. Turned out very nice for a semi budget rifle.
  14. Wow, that's a beautiful rifle! Congratulations
  15. Really hated to hear this. I watched a couple videos from the Detroit concert that people posted yesterday and he definitely seemed like he was in a bad place. Hard to imagine things being bad enough to do this but no telling what was going on. RIP
  16. Thanks DaveTN!

  18. Happy Easter!
  19. Loved it! Nice touch with the Breakfast Club ending
  20. That looks really good!
  21. It really does look clean the way it is. Boy how my views of "what my rifle needs" have changed. Basically they got lighter and way more expensive haha.
