1. Well just got back, we had a blast. That range is awesome. The ArmaLite worked flawlessly. It's owner however is a numbnut. I got it out, loaded the magazine, and got into position. I flipped on the red dot and could barely make out the dot, battery was almost dead! I was so mad....at myself. Extra batteries were on top of my safe, not in my bag. So I was still able to get 25 rounds off before the dot disappeared. All in all, it was a great time. Can't wait to go again.
2.
No.  Shoot it then clean.  Barrel break-in is for target shooter looking for that extra 1/10th moa.  You will never notice the difference. You are more likely to wear the rifling unevenly from running a cleaning rod through it excessively than from bad break-in procedures.
That's what I was thinking (that it was more for target shooters). I'm on my way and can't wait. Thanks for the reply.
3. Welcome!
4. I'm finally getting to take out my new ArmaLite to the range to fire the first round through it. I'm so excited! I've never been to the OK Corral but heard a lot of good about it. So a friend of mine and I are going tomorrow to enjoy the hills of Woodbury and some fun with friends. He is new to handguns. I took him to the Lebanon gun show about a month ago and he bought a Sig .40 so he's excited to get familiar with it. I also recently bought a Savage Axis in 30-06, so I'll be sighting it in, as well as shooting my S&W M&P15. Should be a great day!  I do have one question similar to one that I saw in another thread. With my AR10 (16" barrel) does it amount to a hill of beans how picky I am with breaking the barrel in, since it will not be a competition shooter? I planned on shooting one round, clean, then maybe a series of 10 shots, cleaning in between. Sound okay or do I need to get more specific?

8.
Every lawyer I know carries.
That's what popped in my head when I sa this. They must think these EBR's are the ONLY thing the govt would possibly not want us to have, his pistol is safe since they're very rarely used in crimes.....wait, what? Lol

19. Welcome Mark!
20. Well any fishermen who are anti-gun, will have plenty of elbow room while walking through what's left of the show. Bad, bad decision, a lot of people have probably been anticipating this show only to be let down. I hope they go to their local gun stores and spend money in support of their decisions to not be in the show.
21. Welcome!
22. Sweet ride, my friend has one and loves it.
